More like the Beverly Hills Flats or Beverly Hills Post Office. Merely for the same price you could an estate with a long drive way, swimmers pool, tennis court, screening room and a home with better resale value once the market rebounds. Now is the time to invest and maybe I should consider?
Hmm.. I didn't realize there was a "income point" for each classification. Is that according to statscan or something?
All the aforementioned areas are considered "affluent" by the CD Howe and City of Toronto (wikipedia too ;) Biggest surprise to me is the neighbourhood in Scarborough!
There several "hidden millioniares" regardless of the the neighborhoods. Although, these are most sought out neighborhoods. Revenue Canada has several different tax bracket classfications for different income levels or income purposes. Check out on youtube, "platinum triangle." The Platinum Triangle blows these neighborhoods out of the water. Thank you.
Some of the poshest homes in some of the toniest neighbourhoods in toronto. Some of the poshest neighbourhoods include Lambton/Kingsway, the BridlePath, Rosedale, Forest Hill, Leaside, and Port Union in Scarborough. All have family income in excess of $140,000 and university attainment above 30%.
Most people in this neighborhood, make the affluential tax bracket starting out at Two Hundred Ten Thousand dollars per year and up, sometimes more and upwards two One Million dollars per year. Pending on what they practice and what they do for a living. "Affluent" starting at $210, 000.00 Upper Middle class starting at $120,000.00 Start your own company, corporation or get a degree from some University, find a market to cater too and believe in yourself and in time you will be here with us.
On Post Road comming down from Bayview there are theses huge homes, I was not so impressed with Bridle Path it had junky homes unless there are two parts to Bridle Path.
Over all, most homes that you see within these affluent areas, being; Rosedale, Forest Hill and the Bridle Path are nice, indeed don't really compare with the homes in the platinum triangle; Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and Bel Air. Really would be a good investment to purchase estates within those areas. Many homes in Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and Bel Air are droping like fly's in terms of there resale value by their current owers. The flipside to it all is? Do we have the investment capital.
Is it true that houses closer to Bathurst is much more affordable? Our family is moving to Toronto soon and we have been reading about the different neighbourhoods there, your video is very helpful.
Pending on the exact location, homes can run you between eight hundred thousand and upwards to two million dollars around Bathhurst St. Soon as you go East of Spadina Road north of Heath St. homes will run you between 1,200,000.00 and up to 3,200,000.00 on average then 4,600,000.00 and up to 15,000,000.00 - I'll upload a video with a Toronto map indicating the different nieghborhoods that would be the most desired places to live. Thankyou.
Thank you for your reply, I look forward to your video. I read that Bathurst was rated one of the worst roads in Toronto, I thought maybe that is why houses close to it are lower in price.
forest hill, rosedale, the bridlepath, thornhill...these are some of the best residential areas inside metro Toronto (although thornhill is mostly in the york region)
Don't forget Swansea next to High Park. Forest Hill, Swansea and Rosedale at one time were their own individual townships and even had their own Town Hall. Services such as garbage removal, emergency services and other various sevrices townships would have. While your at it check out my friends house in Rosedale via, my othet videos or by typing Rosedale Garden Tour.
my cousin lives in that area, and their really annoyed with people site seeing they find it an invasion of privacy, they constantly battling the city to have it gated off with an electronic card to get in, or transponders on their cars....but the way i look at it, let people enjoy some nice scenary
Sorry for the delay in regards for the reply. Old money does'nt really care in terms of who is around, people who have it are generally friendly. Forest Hill is place to escape from the average Toronto. Beverly Hills or the Platinum Triangle in general does'nt have that your excluded attitude, as resident of Forest Hill people are welcome to come and go as they please and are alway's welcome. Thankyou for your comment take care.
The port union area of Scarborough (pickering border) is the area with the most potential in the city! With average family income around $105000 and university attainment levels above 32% it is both a very professional and very affluent area! There is no question that it is the Oakville of Toronto with close proximity to the lakefront, highways, and green parks. Only difference here is that prices here haven't maxed out yet.
Nice homes it's like Beverly hills

I haven't driven through forest hill in a couple years.
It's cool to drive through and look at how the swells are living but when you get home you kind of feel bad about yourself.

Small lots yet very expensive. It took me while to get here, but it's worth it. Hope to see you as my neighbor in it's day. Good Luck!
