I liked this album. I wasn't able to get into the first album, but I like the somber and more experimental feeling of this album. My only problem is that the album is too good. There aren't any stand out songs that I really like to make me enjoy listening to this even more. 7/10.
Just incredible. After listening to both album of wordless beauty, back to back, I then get David. And I get goosebumps. The single most amazing sound I've ever heard is that one word, "David", preceding what is now one of my alltime favourite songs. Utterly blown away. Thankyou AAL for crafting the two greatest albums of their kind.

I think the music's ambient quality is maybe trying to express how one of the band members felt when they reacting from the immediate news of their brother dying, and how when the man said his brother died, there was nothing but silence from the person who answered. That is my guess.
@GuernB2 Take this with a grain of salt. I know of no religious affiliations with anyone in the band, but Song of Solomon (from their first album) is a book of the Bible. David is a very large historical figure in the Bible. Both could be Biblical references, or they could even just be names given the songs that have no real meaning.
@koranae i took the song into cubase and made the words at the beginning louder and more clear, it says "Didnt you know your brother just died?" then another persons answers... "David?"
@DrThundercheetah Really? I hear "isnt he the one whos brother just died?" I think if you plug your headphones in halfway and listen to the right speaker you can hear more of the conversation.
David?... David Gilmoure? Hm. Should perhaps one day combine the two geniuses and see what happens. AAL and DG... Chea.
