Jimmy Page actually called Ted Nugent America's worst sloppy guitarist in the late 1970's. The two met up in LA at a night club when Teddy commenced to slap the "British Bitch" Teddie's words not mine. Thereafter Teddy was to be known as "Motor City Madman" True story.
I hate these 1 minute expervillage videos. They are dividing normal 5 minute video into 5 one minute videos on purpose. If I could I would put them on ignore list, I swear... Spammers! 1* from me on every video from now on.
blues isn't in the guitar, its in the heart, and in the soul, you can rip the blues on whatever guitar you want. I played a blues gig with a kramer a few times, your mom loved it.
what are you talking about? You know Les Paul? (the guy who made the first Les Paul shaped guitar.. obviously) He is a blues player.. and ytou know what he uses? a Les Paul. It's all about tone, you get a different tone with a solidbody than a hollowbody. It just so happens, that out of most Solids, the Les Paul has the deepest tone.. which is a very jazzy/bluesy feel to it ;)
Of course I know Les Paul. When I hear a Les Paul , it just has no character to me.
And the blues didn't come from the Les Paul. The blues was played from the soul it didn't matter if it was a crappy guitar. Nowadays, people want the nicest blues sound from their guitar, and they forget what its really about.
dude les paul is pretty bluesy guitar. I mean if he was using SG for this song we would be like woah hold on a sec dude. But les paul and its archtop + humbucker dude its blues.
you can become a great player, learning to play from your heart while using a shitty sounding guitar. you will become even greater, when your inspired by pure beauty coming from your fingers. theres nothing more discouraging than having everything you play be overshadowed bu the fact that THE TONE, IS, UGLY.
If you're starting to play a mirror might be a help to invert the playing. As a fairly seasoned player..yes well assaulted...that demo really messed me up
a begginer lesson????

good job you taught half of it. now theres going to be mini guitar gods running around playing 3 bar blues.
after you play that. move you finger to the next string and do the same.

typical expert village bullshit...not even a descent guitar
apocatie34 2 years ago
do you know the difference between a riff/lick and a progression? This would be helpful if someone was looking for 12 bar blues... not riffs.

I play blues on a les paul and get a mean tone and distinctive sound....Although i wouldn't have any reverb...which this guy seems to have abit of...

I know a guy named jimmy page who would slap you if you confronted him with that mentality.
Fruscianteistheman 2 years ago 10
How do you know he would do that? You don't know him. I don't think Jimmy would do that cause hes a good guy and respects other opinions.

Nice job. But to finish you have to move up to the A string and do the same instead of the E. Then you return back to the E
