  • Those horns are screamin'!

  • to all of the people out there who say Maynard is only as famous as he is for his upper register notes, this performance should shut them all up. the solo at the begining wasn't really high, but gosh it was hot!

  • Too bad there's that hiccup at 3:12...I would have loved to hear the sax solo...this whole performance smokes!

  • Wonder why there is a major hiccup at 3:07 when the sax player's solo begins? That sucks...would really like to hear this guy rip!

  • Wonder why there is a major hiccup at 3:07 when the sax player's solo begins?

...the lead-trumpeter is craig johnson. Craig studied trumpet with the great Don "Jake" Jacoby. Craig is currently one of New Yorks most in demand freelance trumpet players.

    gruß

  • Who is the lead trumpet player in this video? I thought it would be Bergeron, but it's not. Whoever it is, he's a beast.

  • hey does anyone know the fingerings on a trumpet for the main tune on a night in tunisia???

  • you mean the head, it starts on low B, lol figure it out, it would be a great learning experience, or get a real book or play the song. Lots of arrangements of this tho

  • @shadowassasin228

are you still in need of them?

  • I remember Maynard from his concerts in NYC. Great player and even greater human being. We would yell out "To the Hilt", and he would hit them super high notes. Miss him greatly.

  • MF sounded so much better on this hardware than that monette junk

  • i love it how when he moves his trumpet, there is a tail stream of light that follows. amazing trumpet player.

    absolutely eternal

  • Trumpets (L to R)-Walter White, Criag Johnson, Pete Olstad, Jon Owens I think

  • Awsome, nice to see that he was still very talented and creative in this point of his career and matt wallace on alto, thats the only other one I know
