Thanks - and that is a huge question! It depends on your budget and what you like. Accucraft Edrig or Caradoc are excellent - or their US Mogul is a fine big loco. Roundhouse are also excellent and their basic locos are great to start with - but not R/C. Beware secondhand "bargains".

Great video as usual. Could you recommend a starter steam engine for g scale? Our Railway has no power, so far only battery power.
