yo i almost pissed my pants when this happened we had walking to the McDonalds thing when my sister noticed the brown cloud we thought it was nothing then a few seconds like thius huge gust of wind hit and we ran to the flee market thing
Wow this brings back some crazy memories, I had an outhouse fall on me and cut my leg and I had 5 family members sitting front row thast we didnt here from till the cell servie started to lear bout 3 hours later, it was scary. Me and my uncle walked around the grounds before they shut them down and it was surreal seeing all the damage. I lost my favorite shoes that day, they got stuck in the mud :(
Hahahah ..NOT!! Far from it Yank. You sack of shit. I feel sorry for you americans specialy you, I would be so embarassed to be American. Travel around the world an learn what the rest of us say about you. Idiots talking public like this are only Americans...loser. Do you know where Alberta is??
I just have to say, I didnt see much chaos OR Panick!
Impressive. the gate was closing, I dont know why, but I hear a call to get the gate open, I dont now if it opened. Thats a BIG glitch and somehow, they ended up going single file through 1 door! the 'door man' was struggling to keep that other door open! There were I think 15,000 people there! This could have turned out A LOT worse than it did
true ture, it was more choas and panic after everyone was in....i guess it was choas and panic from what i experienced. maybe i should retitle....but it made headline news across canada (my video) so it showed some degree of intensity i suppose...
Chantal, I would never have wished to be there! Im sure it was chaotic! I just wanted to point out a few things that went RIGHT. You shouldnt have to retitle, I just wanted to throw that in.
I can see panic when people were throwing themselves under heavy doors and running back outside (likely for loved ones)
@kristinagan were you there to experience it in the first place? if not then you can't really judge how chaotic and panicking it was for people, whether they're screaming, etc. or not.
I was out by my camper when it hit. When I looked up, you could see the debris swirling in the wind. Then after a bit it sort of just stopped swirling. I think our asses were very close to going to Kansas.
It was totally unreal, NOT in Calgary, and very scary for those present, including performers. I just hope the lady that lost her life RIP, and I am re;lieved my daughter wasn't due to go till the next day (when it was cancelled). Good on ya, cops and EMTs
What a frightening severe storm! Radar indicated a severe storm passing through Edmonton by 5 pm and tracking southeast at 100 km/h! The winds came howling through Edmonton around that time and the thunders rumbled through as well. The people at Big Valley could have had a couple of hours warning and this tragedy should never have happened! I give my sympathy to the friends and family of the dead.
It was not bad for people in the campsite who were under cover or in a vehicle. For people around/near where the stage collapsed it was more of a panic because people did not know who was trapped or injured.
Thanks for posting this, sure was sad that this had to happen during BVJ. I know our police/medical services are amazing here, and they helped to the best of their abilities.
PS dont mean to sound like a jerk but my city is called Camrose not Camorose lol
it was a speaker on stage that took that angel out.....i had alot of family and friends who were there and it wasn't good.i pray for the others that have been hurt .
That was definitely one of the scariest things ive evr expierienced! Me and ma friends were very lucky! Bigbradford69, man youve got to be very heartless to post something so stupid and immature, alot of people were hurt and one was unfortunate enough and lost their life. You are a complete moron.
you're so cool with that remark. pretty sure you've got nothing better to do than post stupid comments on youtbue all weekend long at least these people have a life. LOSER.
i was there u can see my uncle (light blue shirt and the red necklace) and aunt (peach shirt right behind my uncle) running out into the man door to go and try to find me and my parents. and we new other people who were on the poser seats (seats suspended on above the stage) she was with her little girl and luckily she only had a fractured ankle. but they were sitting beside the woman who died. a beam fell onto her stomach and she died 5 minutes later
It was terrifying.....we were one of the first people in this arena when it happened and we weren't even sure what was going on, a few minutes later we started hearing the stage had collapsed and people were trapped. There was no cell phone service at all so people panicked because they couldn't get a hold of people they were with....
thunder rolls...and the lightning strikes.someone danced up a storm...hmmm these panicked people need an entrance,i know! let's close the big door!

@dimebagdave77 I think they had to close the door because the wind is simply too strong.

Check out CISNMike for a very real and up close view of the stage and its collapse. My videos are just panic from after the storm
chantal5755 2 years ago
Honestly, you weren't there. So shut up.
You have no idea what this storm was like.
The videos don't even begin to describe what happened.
So many were injured and a death occured.
Your pathetic to even assume that you know what you are talking about.
Also, learn to spell and take your racist comments elsewhere.

Doesn't take away from the fact those winds were probably strong as hell. Learn a little.
