  • It has been five, long years since my last visit to Jordan. I will see you next summer inshallah, my beautiful country.

  • This is great, it's always important to acknowledge progresses!

  • i like this video too. i get your point. before, there was no option but now there is. you are not saying that women in the middle east are all free. you are saying that slowly but surely progress is being made.hell, i'm black, so i know my choice to be born free did not happen overnight. so, again, great video.

  • and Queen

  • It doesn't impress me that Muslim women are imitating the way non-Muslim women dress. Why not show some sisters in Niqab and hijab working? Why do we have to imitate them in how they look? Imitation is a form of love. You don't see them copying the way we dress, act or speak. I don't think western ways are superior to Islamic ways. Look what both are based on and you will see what I mean. What is the purpose of the Western style of dress for women?

  • @R21301 Do you wonder why no western women ever copies muslim clothes undless they convert ti Islam but Muslim women copy western clothes whether Islamic or not?

  • @R21301 There is no purpose in blue jeans and a leather jacket, it's comfortable and practical there isn't supposed to be a purpose other than to cover your body and keep you warm. You don't have to see everything the west does as evil.

  • If you read the Jewish Talmud and Shulchan Aruch, you will quickly realize that the undisputed kings of racial hate on this planet are: Jews.

  • This video unfortunately talks about a very very very very FEW. Do you get my point? you probably can see ALL these free women in this video only!!! You can not make Islmaic women FREE by promoting LIES....

  • @sassanman first the video talk about Arab countries and not all the Islamic countries. Second no it is not the few but I can say more than 65 %

  • when the women police officer shows up next to the hotel that's where i live next to it

  • Jordan 1st

  • u aint foolin me. arabs both women n men r barbarians n should quit their ignorant neanthetral ways, its 2011 n theyre still so backwards....ive been in mideast n seen it wit my eyes....this vid is a joke!

  • @TheNubian1985 what did you exactly see and which countries have you been to? This is about Jordanian women (not Arabic women in general), the woman at the end is Queen Rania of Jordan. This video isnt a joke, I lived in Jordan for 8 years and I can assure you all of this is true except for the plumber lol

  • @TheNubian1985 you are ethnocentric and a racist. Why don't you try and educate yourself before you judge the way others live and their cultures. No one culture changes in the same way. Look at works done by those who actually come from which ever Arab culture your investigating. Ignorance only fuels hate and stupidity.

  • I am from Turkey an it is very hard to find a honest plumber in here, I am happy that you have female plumbers, I wish there were more women in construction field

  • you guys jealous of arabs

  • @30110330 in my free country where i can go to the beach in shorts and a shirt to cool off, go wherever i want independently, marry whoever i want, not be sexually repressed and NOT be pelted with stones for any of those things, oh yes i'm so jealous.

  • so what?/???????????????

  • This is so misleading Muslim women are stoned. they don't even have right to vote, work they are treated like animals

  • its time for iran to rise and become the natural regional power

  • woman is a taxi driver police officer :D

    PLUMBER HAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHAAHAHAHA :D

    IT IS A JOKE

  • i was the project manager of the project in 0:17..they asked for permission to film :)

  • the video is maybe for the good, but I don't think that all of these jobs are for women?

there's exaggeration in some of them. I mean women have the right to work , but they are supposed to work in jobs don't need much physical work like a plumper, I imagine it would be inappropriate.

  • jordan

  • lol,,,,,, masakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

  • where is" The Gulf "? you mean" persian Gulf " ?

  • This is misleading. What are we are promoting here? Arab women can be Christian, Jewish and muslim. I hope we are not supposed to assume all Arabs are muslims.

  • @ThingsThatVexMe No, that's not the aim at all. It's simply saying that all women in the Arab world are not oppressed and prevented from excercising their right to work and earn a living. The short film doesn't say anything about the faith of the women represented, it mentions that women in the Arab world do have choices, nothing claiming all women are muslim that happen to be Arab.

  • this video shows Jordanian women!

    Jordan first:)))

  • See what Arab women are up to... YOUTUBE EXCLUSIVE

  • I <3 JORDAN .. Though I'm Palestinian, BUT JORDAN IS THE BEST ! Proud Of Queen Rania :)

  • Interesting...

  • ya only in jordan

  • @TheSycoPerson also tunisia

  • if some one wants to know how muslim arab women is treated

i think he should visit the middle east

    visit kuwait for example

we are the same as us

there is no difference but maybe we are treated better :-)

  • a for arab and animal

  • there are ALOOOOOOOT of police women

  • Greetings from Morocco!

  • Nice Clip! We need more of that to let the west world accept the fact of great progression in Arab World, at the same time West world should learn how to respect and accept Arabs as civilized people without degrading or deforming the neat image by quoting misjudged stereotypes.

  • send here and here dictator husbend who came from sudi arabia to take jewish land.

  • @MrJapaneseboy1111 learn how to spell!

  • nice

  • دعاية للضحك على الذقون

I'm an Arab who lived in Jordan for 6 years. The Jordanian women has no will or rights whatsoever even for an eastern woman. Although It is not as bad as what is happening in the Gulf.

Believe it or not, some girls cant even greet male classmates in the university because of their families, which is so sad.

They even would take off or put on the Hijab as their secret boyfriend's please.

  • @IRAQI6TNT Thats why millions of iraqies came to live in jordan!!!!...you should ask the iraqi women who lives in jordan if they ever lived freely as they lived in iraq or in the gulf

  • @IRAQI6TNT You should ask the iraqi women who lives in jordan if they ever lived as freely as they ever lived in iraq or in the gulf

  • @IRAQI6TNT Yes also in america and across the globe if ur parents are strict there is alot u cant do this has nothing to do with the country it has to do with up bringing. im not arab im not even white but its common sense......

  • isn't the best queen you have ever seen??

ofcourse yes and we will never see in any part of the world queen will be better than q.rania

  • isn't the best queen you have ever seen??

ofcourse yes and we will never see in any part of the world queen will be better than q.rania

  • is it?????????

  • queen ranbia is palestinian!

  • Queen Rania is without a doubt the most inspirational Queen alive.

  • Yes women are allowed to become whomever they want to be, WITH restrictions. Unfortunately there still are very prominent, primitive cultural beliefs / practices that are still practiced today. Word to the wise, arm women with basic rights for freedom of choice, will and freedom to be alive; and work on breaking down the egotistical, self perceived superiority of the Middle Eastern man, who so profoundly believe they are better than women.

  • @dunia1969 agree 100%

    sorry by mistake voted down

    Only VOTE UP

  • woman is part of the society and work in every arab place exept in saudi arabia.

Morocco, JOrdan, lebanon,tunisia...woman there are really performing greatly

    good video!

  • women are so fool , they think working like men make them moderate

look at american women and see what kind of life they have , it is really a trashy life

it is always good to go to school , get all the education you can , get a job in certain fields , but keep in mind your house is your castle .

  • @tubaishat2002 so then in your own words men must be very stupid as we have to work alot and according to you we dont have castles as men....

  • Best Greetings from Egypt ... Keep it Up!!!!

  • all the women in this video from jordan only

  • Yes I agree completely, I'm Arab, from the Gulf. Oman.

And we can do just about anything we want to do :)

    Even Soldiers and race-car drivers..

All thanks to Our Sultan<3 and our will power!

    xx

  • @3maneya Women can be soldier everywhere. Women can be a race-car drivers everywhere (except Saudi Arabia). .. What's your main point?

  • This is sooo propaganda, and is lying abt the S. Arabic women, they are not allowed anything other than staying at home, they are not allowed to drive, they are not allowed go out without male escort and that's the truth stop believing this fake video abt womens liberty in S. Arabia

  • thats only saudi arabia and iran. i mean, not every single arab country is like this but you'd be surprised to see how it was really like.

  • @paniuroczy

this is in Jordan NOT in Saudi or Iran !

  • @paniuroczy ,,,, at fact This in JORDAN not in Saudi or Iran ....

  • I'm a Saudi women. I'm sponsored by an Oil company to finish my schooling. I don't have my male-guardian with me. I know other 230 Saudi women who are the same. My mom is a teacher. My aunt is a doctor. My friend (who is a woman) is a lawyer.

Keep in mind Saudi is a young country. Women in all places had to fight to get more rights and it didn't happen over one night.

  • As Arabs, we give a tremendous importance to how others see us. I think we should be like US or Chinese ppl, in the sense that we should only focus on improving ourselves. And be sure, once you proof yourself, others will understand and respect you.

  • I'm not only from the Arab world. I'm from the Gulf. Im a translator my mom is a teacher my sis is a banker, we all cover our hairs (not faces just hair) and we live a normal free comfortable life. I drive where ever i want when ever i want a play i dance i watch oprah! dont blv your media

  • @omania100 Not in Saudi you are not.

  • @omania100

But you can't show your skin right, even your arms and legs?

  • @omania100 i dont believe those people he think arabic women are doing anything and we are 201 ,they just like to make fun <thats all otherwise they could go to arabic gulf and see what is there and compare it with all the world ,we got everything ,thats enough then

  • @omania100 you say you live in the gulf you are lucky but what if you were to live in saudi arabia iran syria etc would you be able to be a free spirit who likes to dance drive and watch oprah or would your life be very different even though you were still a muslim how about more hardcore nations like rural pakistan afghan. under the taliban again your still a muslim in a muslim nation but would your life be very diferent you see what im saying true freedom is lacking in islam espeac. for women

  • Ah, the few exceptions that are not being oppressed by fascist cult islam (the enemy of the entire world)

  • Loved it.

  • great to discover that Thanks

  • thank you queen rania, i've just discovered your youtube account and i must say that you've kinda enlightened me about the arab world.

    props to you!!

  • i liked the judge, she should get a show in the US like jude judy.

  • what's next? prostitution will be a celebrated profession for the Arab women just like it is in the "advanced" and "modern" and "free" and "civilized" Netherlands?! well it already started in Afghanistan and Iraq. Queen Rania wears mini skirt and goes to Oprah and declares she prays 5 times a day. lol. tell me another joke. it might work.

  • I'm from Afghanistan and let me tell you women were wearing mini-skirts in the 1960s there. Plus what does what you wear have to do with anything, its all about your intentions.

  • @momo5288 they still do , but not all . exactly what you said "its all about intentions " .

  • @momo5288

All about your intentions huh? So tell me what exactly are your intentions when you show half your body to the public eye?

  • hahahaahhaahaha and ,,,,

  • I don't understand is why in the arab world, the same ones who had equality between man and women some hundred years ago, now are struggling to be equal again.

I wonder what happened that women lost there rights in the arab world.

  • @crizl2007 After muhammed died some people turned like they where before he was born! If a war comes in a contry it takes many many years to fix everything and just thing about the children that loose theyr perents and grow up alown realy little knowlige about Islam but there are many resons why some contrys dont devlope.

  • Yeah i agree with your point that in arab society things are slowly getting better for these women.

But all those educated women etc like pilots and lawyers they come from wealthy familys ,and they have more of an opputtunitie as apposed to the majority of the arab women. This video was a bit biased.

  • THEY ALLSO HAVE FIGHTER PILOTS!

  • bad theme song

  • hi you all ,

there r a lot of bad comments. any way we are the muslims dont have any hate of any religion on the world but the action of 11th of sept. made you to think that we are terrorists but this is false we love all peopole and those who did this action only mads our prophet mohammed ordered us to love all peopole and make the the peace on who we know or not i hope we all live in a peaceful world .

and i am sorry if my english language not ok because i am still learning.

  • Comment removed

  • hahahahhaaaa, lol ,,,,,,muslim religion want peace in world . after what ?

  • @abdullah, your English not too bad but you need more practices

  • exclusively from Jordan, and only.

  • thanks QueenRania

  • i AM WOMEN AND I LOVE TO WEAR HIJAB..

AND just for info its in christanity and judaism too.. they just donot care about it..

we do..i care about my religon islam, which is great..

if you donot believe it then stop putting disgusting comment ,and read quran yourself,it will be the best thing you ever did.

    peace

  • read it, found it boring, repetitive and full of contradictories.

Only reason you wear it is because it makes you feel special. (status)

Westerners don't wear them anymore because they do not see a status symbol in wearing a rag on your head. It was in the past a method of recognising farmers, merchants, nobility. Another way of discriminating between people. Which you fervently wish to uphold. Headwraps serve no purpose beyond an arrogant religious statement.

  • Wonderful video :)

    BEM HAJA ...

    QUEEN RANIA

  • So, we the arabs have no respect for women and children... so how come it is the west that is riddled with rapes, sexual attacks every second of the day (USA)... horrific children abuses, incest, Fritzels, women are treated nothing more than a hole... like a toilett.... and you know, I feel sorry for your women! They belive that they are free because they can show their pussy to everyone on the planet.... poor airheads.... if you only knew, they gave you the right so they can masturibate better!

  • wow

Look at how all westernised it is

  • @RackJacket Hmmmm interesting choice of words. When we (Arab women) wear the Hijab or not work, or are not allowed to vote we're "oppressed" and we're stupid and have no rights. Once we work and stand on our own feet we're "westernized"

    think about it.

  • @lolilolipop11 Muslims are not allowed to become like westerners, they hate that. And tell me, how many % of Arab women are working? NOT VERY MANY, MOST OF THEM ARE KEPT BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!!!!

  • Good Bless you Queen Rania, your the best queen in the world :) you make me proud to be Jordanian

  • @yazanhmoud She's palestinian.

  • No, we don't have women walking naked. Anyone walking naked would be arrested for public indecency. We have our own standards.

So the more a woman is closed, the higher the standard? Then how about burqa? How about demanding that women cover one eye in public, as one Egyptian cleric suggested,

Isn't something rotten about this "standard"?

  • v muslim women are ordered in islam to keep our bodies covered and keep our virginity for the man whome v marry( the man of our coice, eders cannot force us). we do not beleive in sex without marrige. but we are advised not ordered about the minimum age for marriage. ur girls try to lose virginity as soon as they are 12. is that a decent thing to do. i mean just to find a "male" to fulfil physical needs or to wait and grow up to a suitable age to get married and start a peaceful family life.

  • The reason why Muslims believe women should be covered is because the prophet Muhammad was a pervert and couldn't keep his hands to himself everytime he saw something "sexy"...

So when it's all covered up then there's no urge to have sex with a women because you can't see any curves...

This is why they say it's appropriate for a man to rape a women if she is not clothed properly.

However the Koran is a religious all-authoritative document. Therefore reform from the 7th century isn't possible

  • A woman's body is SO precious that Allah wanted whats best for us and i.e hijab, because with it, we are safe and covered and the only man that is allowed to see a woman's body is her husband and her husband only.

Stop posting rubbish that ain't even true... no one's gonna believe you anyway and its not like we're going anywhere :)

  • @Nadoozii yee truee!!!!

  • Nadoozii is absolutely right. at least someone is thinking with his/her brain.

  • aldianawildian: "What does Islam think about transgender?"

    Good one.

    LOL

  • Salam alaikum thank you so very much for posting this video a I am a mulimina truck driver and many people dont believe that we are capable of doing these this type of work or any other maybe this video wil help to promote workplace awareness that muslim woman can do what nonmuslim woman can do and even better allhamduillah

  • God Bless you Queen Rania

  • - Getting beat up by their men.

  • every human brought up with desrespect might do that. its not the question of muslim or non muslim.

  • What do you think and islam think a bout Transgender?? that since they were born they already like that. It is not and option but something that they can ignore..it is already their destiny That Allah SWT create them like that including me

  • @aldianawildian I don't know about islam but there has been a lot of research on the subject, perhaps reading up may give you some peace of mind.

  • I can't control my self. It already in me since I was born. I don't know is this a curse or a give from Allah SWT. a couple time i was thingking a bout suicide until to day. I have this feeling as female since I was born Until now it is been already 29 years.

  • I understand if you will ignore this mesage or doesn't wanna to answer. I am sorry for this inconvenient situation that I bring to you.

    Aldiana Wildian

  • Apparently following th sunnah of Queen Rania is more qualified than the sunnah of the Prophet(pbuhf).

Its funy how such ppl rule over muslims and still call themself a muslim but reject the very fundamentals of islam...

But life is toooooo short, we all will see the results VERY soon

  • and who is that ( almost God ) that we are trying to satisfy with our ( unveiled working woman ), is it now a shame to be on Hijab?

what's wrong with people, is it just bewilderment that comes out of empty souls?

  • What is wrong with you people!

Most people think that women in the arab world should wear hijab and sit in theyre homes doiing nothing buts that not right. The only arab country that has hardworking women is Jordan and im proud! And it certainly doent matter if theyre wearing hijab or not.. thats theyre choice not urs!! Thank you Queen Rania!

  • lol, why would anyone be wearing a hijab if they're going to be sitting in their homes all day?

  • um im from iraq and in my opinions i think the best arabic countrys that are following the right path in women rights are iraq and jordan, my mum is a good muslim and she doesnt wear a hijab, you atheists do not even know yet you judge islam, this i think is quite unfair. you atheists do you really think the world would become a better place if everyone was an atheist? i for one do not and do not judge my opinion for i have pondered this particular scenario for quite a long time.

  • well ur mom still has to wear the hijab its mandatory upon all muslim women lol if she truly fears god she would wear it like almost 99 percent of muslim women

  • its not mandatory u stupid idiot, its not even mentioned.

  • yes it is do u want me to mention the surah that mentions women should cover thier beauty! men as well cover up from knee cap to belly button this is not modernized islam islam is a way of life and not the way u want it to be so.

  • yes it is mandatory its mentioned in the quran lol even men cover up from knee cap to belly buttopn which is also manditory u cannot say u fear allah and the go out disobeying wat he has in the quran i dont understand wats the big deal for wearing the hijab and covering up women!

  • my mom started wearing hijab when she was really ready to wear one and now she is not comfortable without a hijab.. My mom told me you are only supposed wear a hijab when you are intention are pure to wear a hijab and it is not to be forced...Because you are not loving your faith, and love cannot based on anger.. its in the quran. i.e why Muhammed (PBUH) always wanted peace with the non-muslims (Please let us stay in peace and u practise your own faith and I practise mine.

  • congratulations to all my sister s from arab countries,,well done,, keep up on time you are the most beautyfull in the world, lady s god bless all of you ! ! !everything all of you are doing is great !

  • yeah.. and lets not forget there are dishes need to be washed in the kitchen 8)

  • u know wt so cool here in jordan.......men will have to site in the back not beside the taxi female driver ....hahahaha

  • Architect... Hair Dresser... CEO... Chattel...

  • Nice propaganda...please remember the quran teaches the beating of unsubmissive wives..Queen Rania is a lying mouth piece so Westeners can be duped into believing that Islam is something other then a brutal massive cult!

Just ask all those ex muslims who have to live in hiding because of Islam's teaching of death for apostates!

  • i smell a hater, its okay baby boo dont cry about it...im sure there are some muslim women get dat beaten..

  • LOL Albertanator - this video is about ARAB women - not Muslim. Arabs and Islam are not one! My grandmother is Arab, and she is not a Muslim. However, I am a Muslim woman, I have lived and worked in Jordan - as a dentist and teacher - thvideo isn't propaganda. Care to back up is what you say with actual facts, logic, or even your sources of information? No? Didn't think so. You base your claims on ignorance. I strongly doubt if you have ever visited Jordan - once in your life!

  • this video* not "thvideo", my bad.

  • albertanator !

and you know it because ? oh yeah because you've hread it in a tv channel right after celebrities info! or pehaps you've read about it on people magazine.

go get some real education about other people's realigions before making such hate coments.

  • nice of you to say, as a CHRISTIAN...

If you think of it that way I would say that Christians are more of a cult-organzation that the muslims are(If you've read our history!).. and just because Queen Rania shows us that Islam isn't all that bad doesn't mean she want's us all to convert to Islam! Respect other religious believers with different opinions and they'll respect you : )

God bless you, from a fellow christian : )

  • How does anyone of you beat his wife as he beats the stallion camel and then he may embrace (sleep with) her?

That was what the the Prophet (PBUH) said, muslims follow his example. So if he had never resorted to beating his wives, then no-one else should ever have to.

Well ex-muslims have betrayed not only God, but their Prophet and the entire Muslim nation- look at it that way.

  • I think the point of the video is not about hijabi versus non-hijabi. It's about freedom of choice... Here in the Middle East I have women friends and colleagues who wear the hijab, others who wear no hijab and business pants, and still others who wear the abaya. Arab women are free to choose how they want to dress. In my opinion, all are equal in the eyes of Allah and deserve our respect, as the respect of individuals is at the core of true taqwa Islam. Queen Rania we love you...

  • Cool video. Way to go JORDAN!

  • The head cover (Hijab) goes to a time before Islam for both men and women in the Arab world due to the high temperature out in the open, and it was practiced by Christians and Muslims and others... it started for an environmental reason and became a traditional habit before it was for religious reasons !! People must really focus on the core meaning of the video rather on the shallow exterior criticism.

  • Jordan is a shining example of rapid development in the Arab world.

If our industries, banks, medical, commerce and social systems are controlled by men only, a disastrous outcome is the only result.

It takes TWO types of human beings to fast pace social and industrial reform:

    Men AND women.

May Rania continue with her selfless crusade!

    'Allahu Akbar'!

= God is Greater than anything and everything. It would be a wise man who remembers that.

God did not create women as toys for their menfolk.

  • why the only Hijabi arab woman in your video is the "stay at home mother"?!

Are Hijabi women smart enough to be architect, CEO, pilot , etc ? or its true that this headscarf covers the mind of the female? would the queen answer me plz?

  • I was pretty sure the police woman was hijabi as well? o_O

  • the police officer was wearin a scarf too in case u havent noticed

  • Wow what an ignorant commen!!! A lot of women who wear the hijab are in the work force in jordan... They weren't gonna have every woman that works in this video... and a lot of women choose not to wear the hijab.. this video is to educate idiots like yourself...

  • haqona, the police woman was a hijabi too, and the female judge had a Qur'an. In Jordan, the population is predominantly Muslim - and after living/working there, visiting the country and knowing many Jordanians, a lot of Jordanian-Muslim women do not wear hijab (so there are - most likely - more Muslim women in this video than the three I just pointed out).

  • impossible in arab

  • u must be knowin nothin abt arab countries than so keep ur opnions for urself mate

  • Well the effort is appreciated, but the fact that most women in the Middle-East were the Islamic head scarf , and most of these women in the video have all these jobs and aren't wearing a hijab , is a little discouraging for the women that do want to a hijab and pursue a career. Nice try ..

  • its in Jordan

  • this is AWESOME!

  • Jordan first

  • in what cuntry it was film ?

can eny one give me aprof ?

  • didn't you see f.e. the Jordanian flag? And the sites shown there are recognizable for everybody who has been in Jordan!

  • We do have rights :)

  • this footage r from here in jordan and itz 100% true

  • It makes me always glad to see that women have found a career themselves what they really like.

  • "Arab" women? This high production commercial could be referring to arab women in America. Where are these women from?

What country was this footage taken from?

  • The country is Jordan!

  • Jordan... why do they have to be in the u.s to be working? Obviously you've never been to the middle east and watch too much fox news... turn off your tv and read for a change...

  • Why on earth did you assume that this was in America? Because you think only American women have rights and Arab women have no rights at all? I'm a Saudi girl and (insha Allah) one day I'll be like those great women, or even better! Queen Rania is a great example of great Arab women, she fought for women and children rights, she fought for peace and she is one of the best queens in this world. Please don't be ignorant and believe what is said on the media! Women and men are equal in Islam.

  • from Jordan

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but it was filmed in Jordan, and yes... they're all Jordanian women working in Jordan. I know you're a little sad of the fact that women have rights too, but hey, look at the bright side. You're not ignorant anymore!

  • Great video!

  • Arab women need a life this is proof that they can be on the same level as men instead of being supressed they are capable of controlling their own lives and dont need controlling men around them they know the limits so whats the big deal to allow them some freedom!!!!

  • that's all a Jordanian women

  • i ve seen a lebanese mechanic women once lol

  • real cool thx

  • yes, women can do jobs like pilot, ceo, too, my big sister is a pilot of Turkish airlines ;)

  • awesome! awesome! awesome! alhamdulillah! may Allah reward the maker of this video.

  • queen rania is so beautiful and awesome

  • these are jordanian women. ppl think all arabs are like the saudi wahhabis but thats not true not ever arab is afraid of women rights like wahhabi saudis
