A transcript of the unedited interview of Sarah Palin by Charles Gibson clearly shows that ABC News edited out crucial portions of the interview that showed Palin as knowledgeable or presented her answers out of context.
You're right when she says..."In what respect Charlie".... with such snap and country sounds like a country hick instead some educated person! hee hee
She is unprepared to lead the U.S. Completely unaware of the most basic fundamental principle that has shaped U.S. foreign policy for the last 7 years.
All the cramming in the world won't help her, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut back on future interviews before she exposes her ignorance again.
Go back to shooting moose, lady. This country has real issues that need people who have been thinking about them.
She is stupid? Hmmmm...I wonder what YOU do in life. I don't seem dem4amer shaking up the political world. I don't see dem4amer governing a state. I don't see dem4amer unseating corrupt politicians. I don't see dem4amer working to reform his/her state and taking on the great challenge of reforming Washington. I don't see dem4amer doing an interview on the day that his/her first born is being shipped to Iraq.
What I do see is a person who throws childish remarks and silly insults.
It was not a vague or unfair question at all. Gibson was being polite.
McCain spoke in detail about the Bush doctrine 3 years ago. Anybody who half-way follows politics knows what the Bush doctrine is.
She's a complete idiot. Obviously 10 days of cramming by McCain's toadies forgot to cover the Bush doctrine. And this won't be the last time she gets tripped up - there's just NO WAY to cram what should be a lifetime pursuit into 10 days.
There is no written Bush doctrine. I follow politics as well as the Bush administration and I had an idea of what he was speaking about but did not know for certain. Doctrine on foreign policy? National Security? Education? Reform? It was vague. When she asked him 'in what aspect' and he replied - 'what do you think' ... that was an attempt to corner her. However, if you pay close attention she answered the question completely. People may disagree - but she didn't trip up.
Your own knowledge gap does not excuse hers. In fact your series of questions proves that you are as ill-informed as she.
Google or go to National Review or Townhall or Wikipedia or whatever source you choose and if you search "Bush Doctrine" you will get information on pre-emptive security policy.
That's it. Pretending that she answered the question is silly - the phrase Bush Doctrine has referred to pre-emptive military policy for the last 6 years.
Ok your argument may hold up for the first part of the question, but after it was defined for her (preemptive strike) she should have had a good idea of what "Charlie" meant. She could have said: "I believe preemptive strike is justified in cases where..." or "Well sorry Charlie, I think you are wrong. This is how I perceive the Bush Doctrine..and yes I do agree with it."
Instead she gave a generic answer she has obviously rehearsed.
come on she didnt rehearse that answer .its obvious she just didnt fuckin know .she was in know way prepared for that .mccain probably thought she knew.
of course she didn't know what it was...that was my point.
the answer she gave was probably what they told her to say in case she was asked anything related to Bush. ie. Do you agree with George Bush? Do you support his action in Iraq? Do you support his stance in Russia?
i love how easily she chooses to lie, ("..his world view"), instead of giving some "straight talk" as she loved to call it.

The correct and HONEST answer should have been: "Sorry, I dont know what that is."

This is not fair. I don't even know what the Bush Doctrine is...oh, but I'm not running for VP...heck, I can't even vote...sorry to waste your time!

Before you judge - there is no written Bush doctrine. That was a very vague and unfair question.
Notice he said the doctrine "AS HE PERCEIVES IT". What a joke. I though more of Charlie than that.

It's the reason they're keeping her hidden.
