  • In Coralville, Iowa police shut down 4-year-old Abigail Krstinger's lemonade stand after it had been up for half an hour. Dustin Krustinger told reporters that his daughter was selling lemonade at 25 cents a cup during the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Race Across Iowa (or RAGBRAI), and couldn't have made more than five dollars. Police informed her that a permit would cost $400.

  • This testimony - from a man from Goldman Sachs, who caused the crisis in the first place!

He should just go away in shame.

  • @insurgent28 We are. We are about to pass a financial bill that will give the Fed more power and less transparency. And this after we find out today that the Fed really gave away more like $4.6 TRILLION to the banks, not the modest $750 Billion we thought.

  • Obalish the stock market. The white house put on a great show of caring and outrage about the thieves but WE demand more. Arrest them all. get our money back. Please Mr President, all those that take money and take away jobs should be held as enemy combatants that just want you to fail

  • When is Obama going to return the money HE received from AIG? After AIG got our tax money in the form of the bail out funds, they gave OBama, Schumer, and McCain hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions. Now maybe Obama should understand why the republicans were AGAINST the Bail Outs in the first place. Remember when the repubs didn't want to sign it? And Obama said, "Now is not the time to listen to Rush Limbaugh." Remember that? Now he should know why we didn't want it.

  • How the heck does a TAX CHEAT get to head the IRS?

Now that's change you can believe in!!

  • This is a nightmare. This weasel is the Treasury Secretary of the United States?! God help us average Americans; the wolves have been put in charge of the hen house.

  • This guy is a perfect example of the arrogant, elitist snobs already in and now flooding our government at the highest levels. Not only did he not pay his tax obligations, by claiming his child's summer camp as a business expense, but filed a fraudulent tax return by not listing his compensatory earnings from the IMF to cover the taxes. Willfully filing a fraudulent tax return is a felony. This SOB should be in Leavenworth wearing an orange jumpsuit, sharing a cell with a thug named Bubba.

  • who would have thought the 'great debate' would be so one sided.

  • look at the glazed over look of the girl to the left... she is really getting all this

  • This guy is in way over his head thank GOD somebody is tellig him what to say and do. We are doomed with this trillion dollar package. When did the word transparency become a necessary word in a free government? We need to change our whole economic system and definately drop this fiat system that enslaves us. Credit was considered an evil thing back in the day, lending was fine, but charging interest on borrowed cash was considered criminal. did we evolve into a less intelligent race over time.

  • Larry Summers, Clinton's man, and part of the problem. Caused the problem, and will give the bankers a get out of jail ticket.

  • yea no shit,, when he said 'govs acted to slow' i figured he would say 'we need a central world bank ' or something like that to make the 1 world gov crap these sick fucks dream about.

Whats with this guy face always looking down, while eyes looking at you, its fucking weird,, check out the interview with Brian Williams. This guy is a fucking tool and a shill for nwo

  • Geitner is a Fed-appointed stooge for the criminal central banking syndicate. They choose and the pathetic, spineless government merely approves the appointment. The congress and adminstration are the puppets on a sting controlled by these pin-strip suited pirates of the Central bank. Screw em!

  • what a joke.

  • The Devil's in the details, I guess that's why he didn't talk about any.

  • The FRB is where the money or debt is created that facilitated all this. This should be investigated and Geithner ran the FRB of NY so he is most likely culpable or at least ignorant of how finance works.

  • In normal reality a government would investigate, audit, seize, and sell the assets to pay off the debt of failed businesses, companies, corporations and institutions.

You do not raid a country's Treasury day and night around the clock and rob that country's future health, security and posterity ... Unless, you're out to destroy that country. Which obviously what is taking place right before America's eyes.

In Rome, once the Military stopped being paid they took matters into their own hands.

  • Disappointment over the plan led to a plunge on Wall Street yesterday.

  • So the bankers didn't know what they were doing, yet they bumbled their way into $billions in free money?

When people make money by screwing up, maybe they aren't screwing up? Maybe it was just a business plan?
