But that proves nothing; you CAN be JEWISH and a non-believer. Haven't you heard of SECULAR Jews? She was just banned because she was a Jew, although she may have practiced at one point like all inherited faiths. I'm assuming she became an agnostic later on in life.
Plus it makes more sense that she's an agnostic; she is a pioneer in the field of neuroscience. Believing in the Torah would contradict her very line of work.
