i wish to say of myself, and im sure other Autistic people would agree...
IM SORRY WE ARE A FUCKING BURDON ON YOUR WORLD!!
yes the news was right, it can get expensive to treat autism, yet the USA and UK fight so hard to NOT give you treatment or help, you just wonder why the fuck are they and you lot bitching about it?!?
omg people are really saying leave your partner or don't have children with them. That is not a proven cause for children with autism you fools. Geez why don't you research things before you talk about them. neither my spouse or I have autism and we have 2 that do and one that doesn't. It isn't anything that isn't tolerable, or an automatic death sentence for them my goodness. People are so quick to get rid of things that are not easy for them in their cookie cutting lives.
Im Frickin autistic and I was mainstreamed with regular classmates and I managed to get along fine. I hold down a job can drive even do normal stuff. I never got the ABA Crap and i turned out fine its sad to see parents across the country dealing with this but this can work in good time
interesting video, I guess only white children receive treatment for this natural disease, their parents are the only ones with feelings does it occurs to them that it spans all ethnic groups, I wonder why its so difficult for them to adress an important issue like this. I can't believe that even when it comes to something as important as an illness we are shut out . unbelievable .
My name is Garrett Warren, I have Asperger Syndrome, which is high functioning autism, i was picked on once, but people treated me with respect and i played sports and won high school prom king. Autism makes me feel special.
my brother is autistic but instead of paying for extensive treatment, my parents enrolled him in a school designed for autistic kids so he gets treatment and an education with kids just like him everyday. he loves it there and its been a real help to my parents financially. (we live in IL)
So pleased and very surprised to hear they even have schools for autistic kids in Illinois, kudos to them! It took some time to find the right one here in Toronto, but we finally did and my son graduated last year, kudos to him! :-) ABA was just not in the cards for us back then (he's 21 now), but it turns out I was doing my own version anyway. Grab their attention any way you can, be aware of sensory overload (lights, noise, voices), talk to them, love them, and don't be ashamed of our kids!
My younger brother is autistic, and he did not receive ABA (we live in GA). Kids pick on him constantly at school. The other day he confided in me that he had no idea what he was going to do for the rest of his life.
Ultimately, it's best to love your kids, give them plenty of attention, and get to know the people teaching them at school to prevent abuse. Until science finds the definite cause of autism, that's the best you can do.
Very insensitive comments, autistics are the most creative, intellegent people on the planet and are responsible for many scientific discovery's. While they do have extra needs as children society reaps the rewards when they grow up and become geniuses. A few well known autistics are; Einstein, Mozart, Wagner, Andrew Jackson, Ben Frankilin. Surely as society learns to better integrate autistics the nedd foe special education will reduce as autism is more of a differance than an impairment.
TheApocalyptical1, I agree with you. I love my brother very much and have never regretted having him as a brother. But the financial burden on parents is still considerable. I saw an alarming report that claims autistic children are actually being abused, in addition to being neglected by their teachers. Parents of autistic children have to be careful, and this video shows how expensive it can be.
Meh screw it, you hate us, so you think its right to kill us...
alot of people, countries and even me.... hate america...

P.S:
Cost of treating autism UP TO 2025 (NOT in 2025, UP TO 2025) (rough estimate): $550,000,000,000 ($550 billion idiots)
Cost of war started by USA: $1,148,320,350,000 AS OF 06/02/2011...
SO SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU THICK BASTARDS.

One day we'll all have autism and it'll be okay again, well not entirely, but civilization changes over time you just have to go with it.

you cant treat autism, and if you have two kids that is autistic you should leave your partner or not have anymore kids with them.
rickey2b4 2 years ago
Leaving your partner because two of your kids are autistic is a horrible idea; not having any more children is the ideal choice.
