People, if you want to lose weight use this tip:get your ass off the couch and off the computer, turn the TV off and EXERCISE. Try to drink lots of water, 5 pints a day if you can. Try to eat 5 to 6 small healthy meals a day. This will maintain a balanced sugar level and help keep your metabolism working efficiantly. @Asrvn147014x honey, you gotta eat more than that. you'll just exhaust yourself, and have no energy. you're body needs more food than that to function properly. basically... if you're hungry, eat!! just be wise about what you eat. fresh fruit and vegies are always good. as well wholegrains, and food that isnt extremely processed. lots and lots of water, too. if you treat you body well, by giving it the nutrients it needs, it will treat you well in return. so stay healthy, it's worth it.
@Asrvn147014x Dude - that wont work as your body will shut down into starvation mode and try to retain as much fat as possible. If your exercising move to 6 small meals per day - this keeps up your energy levels, insulin levels (no sugar crashes) and forces your body to burn fat. hope this helps..

this is great information, but I am not that strong willed when it comes to my weight loss. I love to eat, not out of stress it's just something about chewing. I've tried gum to help me out with this, but for some reason I chew my mouth more than the gum. So I have resorted to a diet pill, and I'm doing great with it. HOW TO LOSE FAT
1) Cut out carbs in the evenings (eat "low glycemic" carb sources in the day).
2) Choose the exercises that burn the most calories (NOT sit ups and curls). Squats, Lunges, Pull Ups etc. are great examples.

Losing weight and dieting is not hard, it's your brain that you have to battle with as it associates pleasure with food. If you can stop being a taste bud slave, i.e. stop thinking fattening junk food is the best tasting food, exercise in moderation (a home or gym cross trainer is great) and MOST importanly be happy with doing that, you will lose weight fast. I lost 3 stone in 3 months but it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get your brain out of craving those fattening, high calorie foods.

@kittencats97 Yes it's realistic. I Just started working out 45 mins a day [all 7 days a week] starting last Tuesday and lost 9lbs. It seems crazy that I lost that much weight in such little time, but I chopped my calories in half and now I eat small portions of breakfast, lunch and dinner with small snacks in between each meal to curb my hunger. Just eat right, exercise [take small steps], and stay positive. Make a weekly chart and write down the calories of everything that you eat. It helps.
I think you need this video plus a good mind set up and a support team that will encourage you to be better and healthier. This video is a great help, thanks!

The 48 people that gave Waspdbl's comment a thumbs up can't count. 5 x 12 = 60 lbs, NOT 70. Furthermore, the problem with setting such a low monthly goal is that you don't see the results in yourself and you become disillusioned. 5 pounds in a month is a goal for people that are just a little overweight, rather than a large portion of the US population is that is morbidly obese.

sometimes the people around you are uncomfortable with your separate path. you all of a sudden are not eating with them or drinking with them, etc. it's a bit threatening (they think u r deserting them on some level). people like it when things stay the same because then they don't have to take a look at what they are doing too. it's like if you are an alcoholic and you stop drinking. drinking buddies are left to look at themselves...
Great tips. I use Google documents to log everything I ate and what activity I did. Also do you think people focus on pounds lost too much? We women fluctuate so I don't weigh myself, but instead to periodic measurements. When you work out you lose inches! Very motivating! (ew I hate scales) lol

@jodieleahmorris By eating under what your body needs to function (1200 as a the minimum, more cals are needed for you thought since you exercise) you are ruining your metabolism. Our bodies are smart so they adapt to calorie restriction, so in effect it will start to slow the metabolism to absorb as many calories as it can.

I never drink soda, no ice cream, and have sweets only on special occasions mostly. My family doesnt keep junky food in the house. I have been exercising and eating less than 1800 calories at most. I agree with you about keeping whatever you want to fit in, or the reason you're losing weight out where you can see it. I'm 17, and I'm super into anime (a Japanese cartoon) and cosplaying (dressing up as character) but I felt so self conscience in the outfit, I immediately started dieting. After losing 73.8 lbs in 6.5 months, I've concluded that it's possible to get to any weight. It was just a matter of counting up the calories for me, taking walks, logging everything into my iphone 4.

@Asrvn147014x honey, you gotta eat more than that. you'll just exhaust yourself, and have no energy. you're body needs more food than that to function properly. basically... if you're hungry, eat!! just be wise about what you eat. fresh fruit and vegies are always good. as well wholegrains, and food that isnt extremely processed. lots and lots of water, too. if you treat you body well, by giving it the nutrients it needs, it will treat you well in return. so stay healthy, it's worth it.

If you want to know how to lose weight without dieting or any exercise - go borrow from your library or buy the book 'Odysi Zero | Lose Weight : Say No to Dieting and Exercise'. It's pretty cheap. It's sounds like a scam but it's the best weight loss method out there and there are no pills or hypnotherapy or herbs. It's not for people who are easily offended though.

this is great information, but I am not that strong willed when it comes to my weight loss. I love to eat, not out of stress it's just something about chewing. I've tried gum to help me out with this, but for some reason I chew my mouth more than the gum. So I have resorted to a diet pill, and I'm doing great with it. It is all natural, but I find that I'm wearing clothes I havent worn in years. It is helping me to retrain myself on how to eat, so hopefully I will get there. Thanks for vid.

I've been studying the topic of weight loss for about 10 years now (I'm a personal trainer for a living) so I think I can shed some light on the topic.
HOW TO LOSE FAT
1) Cut out carbs in the evenings (eat "low glycemic" carb sources in the day).
2) Choose the exercises that burn the most calories (NOT sit ups and curls). Squats, Lunges, Pull Ups etc. are great examples.
3) Use the software and meal plans from FatLossCustomized. com
4) Perform high intensity interval training.

Losing weight and dieting is not hard, it's your brain that you have to battle with as it associates pleasure with food. If you can stop being a taste bud slave, i.e. stop thinking fattening junk food is the best tasting food, exercise in moderation (a home or gym cross trainer is great) and MOST importanly be happy with doing that, you will lose weight fast. I lost 3 stone in 3 months but it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get your brain out of craving those fattening, high calorie foods.

You don't have to go to the gym, but it's recommended, but you can walk/jog and or do aerobics. You will shed weight very fast, but you have to be determined, motivated, and prepared to go through hell soaked in sweat but its worth it 100%.

@kittencats97 Yes it's realistic. I Just started working out 45 mins a day [all 7 days a week] starting last Tuesday and lost 9lbs. It seems crazy that I lost that much weight in such little time, but I chopped my calories in half and now I eat small portions of breakfast, lunch and dinner with small snacks in between each meal to curb my hunger. Just eat right, exercise [take small steps], and stay positive. Make a weekly chart and write down the calories of everything that you eat. It helps.

Furthermore, the problem with setting such a low monthly goal is that you don't see the results in yourself and you become disillusioned. 5 pounds in a month is a goal for people that are just a little overweight, rather than a large portion of the US population is that is morbidly obese.

sometimes the people around you are uncomfortable with your separate path. you all of a sudden are not eating with them or drinking with them, etc. it's a bit threatening (they think u r deserting them on some level). people like it when things stay the same because then they don't have to take a look at what they are doing too. it's like if you are an alcoholic and you stop drinking. drinking buddies are left to look at themselves...

Great tips. I use Google documents to log everything I ate and what activity I did. Also do you think people focus on pounds lost too much? We women fluctuate so I don't weigh myself, but instead to periodic measurements. When you work out you lose inches! Very motivating! (ew I hate scales) lol

@jodieleahmorris By eating under what your body needs to function (1200 as a the minimum, more cals are needed for you thought since you exercise) you are ruining your metabolism. Our bodies are smart so they adapt to calorie restriction, so in effect it will start to slow the metabolism to absorb as many calories as it can.

I've been having trouble losing weight. I am 14 and at 5'3. I weigh about 128 lbs and have a decent amount of body fat. I never drink soda, no ice cream, and have sweets only on special occasions mostly. My family doesnt keep junky food in the house. I have been exercising and eating less than 1800 calories at most. I agree with you about keeping whatever you want to fit in, or the reason you're losing weight out where you can see it. I'm 17, and I'm super into anime (a Japanese cartoon) and cosplaying (dressing up as character) but I felt so self conscience in the outfit, I immediately started dieting. And I told myself I wouldn't wear it till I was a certain weight. Every time I look at my wig or outfit, I'm more determined! Great video. I agree totally.

what i did was bought a pair of pants that were four sizes smaller than what i was...my goal was to fit into them, so i worked out and every friday i tried them on to see how much i needed left..when you see that the pants almost fits perfect you get more motivated...hope these helps anyone
