I have a confession to make - Neds played live at Reading fetival, I was a HUGE Ned head..followed them all over the midlands for years, during Throwing things @Reading a lot of Ned fans had things to throw at the stage as a laugh.
I must confess it was me who hit John in the head with an apple ;)
The band have a new live CD/DVD out filmed May 2009 it features interviews with all the original band members. Go to the big cartel website & search for Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Get your name on the artwork & a discount of 15% this week
i remember the 90's as a great time for music and music loving, i really don't know whether the music today is any better or worse, but what a time it was back then for alt rock fans
Team Sleep, Philosophers, Desaparecidos, The Blood Brothers, Gorillaz, Pelican, White Stripes, Ptretty Girls Make Graves, American Nightmare, System of a Down, Posion the Well
I tried to name a bunch of different music styles in there as well.
I'm not saying that 2000-2009 has been good for music mind you just that good bands are out there if you look for them across the board.
I'm 30 so personaly it's all about 88-98 for me =)
Well, nothing has grabbed my attention since the early days. We had Stone Roses, Neds Atomic, Ride, Swervedriver, Loop and many more greats. Also, loved early and still do PJ Harvey.
@Obituaryreader MTV changed alot of things too! they used to play this cool shit on 120 minutes, then they started playing crap n crap, ncrap, then basically no music at all. I used to stay up sundays just to see NIN, Ned's, siouxsie, jane's, james, funny that nobody i KNOW besides my bestfriend has any idea of who neds is. except my g/f who i made listen.lol
Fucking hell I forgot I was in this video. I'm the boy in th blue long sleeved t-shirt at the very end. That gig was at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge in 1990. It's pretty freaky seeing it again especially since i'm now 34! I still have that t-shirt haha!
I'm loving rediscovering the Neds! I was crazy about these guys. I remember I had a shedload of their massive furtive t-shirts and I'm 4'11'!! This was always my favourate live track, insane to sing Lets Start Throwing Things at a Neddies gig!! Neddies say TA!!!!
I can't believe how good I feel after finding Neds again (I was searching for Jesus Jones)!! Tomorrow I'm going to the nearest record shop and to buy a copy of God Fodder and play it over and over and over and over and over........Neds how I've missed you and I didn;t even realise I did! BRILLIANT
Bring back the NEDs! Sends me back to my first mid-life crisis when I was dating a 21 year old art school student. I'm ready for another round. Great energy, thanks.
I unfortunately got into Neds towards the start of their demise. What a great live performance. 2 Bass players is ingenious. Throwing Things is one of their best tunes!
Reminds me when i saw them back in the day, March 14 1990 at Octagon Centre, Sheffield. Even still got my long sleeved glow in the dark concert ( The one with the glow in the dark hand on the back!)

People say that you shouldn´t live in the past. But, when it comes to music I sure will stay in the early ´90s.

Think of a good band that started between 2000 & 2009. They can be Anything in between metal '& indie

For me, the only band I've liked since 91 till now and has an album every now and then are T00L.
