Hmmm im visiting Australia, Adelaide, and victoria, with relatives, do you get funnel web spiders there? I know you do in Sydney
Australia has lots of spiders and snakes. As long as you stay out of the thick bush and other places spiders like to hide you will be fine. I have seen plenty of Huntsman spiders, which are the size of an adults hand..but they are harmless.
