Islam started African slavery, and they still practice it today. It was Arab Muslims and Africans converted to Islam that introduced the Europeans to African slavery. The original religion of Africans is not Islam, and the Qur'an allows for the enslavement and conversion of non-Muslims. The European was a late-comer when it came to the enslavement of Africans compared to the Arab Muslim. Arabs, even today, see dark Africans as slaves or for slavery.
@Born2Flesh The distinction MUST be made that the Muslim religion (Muhammad himself) says that a slave is HUMAN and should be treated as such. If a man were to take a slave woman to bed she and the resulting children MUST be provided for as if she were a wife. And it was not illegal for a slave to seek distinction within the wider society. In other words the African slave was not anathema in Islamic tradition until Christian enslavement came along. This is FACT
@FlowerJutsu You are totally confused by some arab muslim fool. Muslims turned african men into eunuchs inorder to protect the Caliphates and there Harams totally bullshit. Muslims Arabs used African women as sex slaves and had many concubines who eventually became the bastards who follow there fathers who are in power. Trying to justify and show how islam was soft to Slaves is Bullshit and you should get smacked with a Black Hand.
@ausaralmasri You might want to look up the history of SPAIN (Andalusia) which was a Muslim country for 500 years and where Africans were an integral part of the economic, political and social system as FREE PEOPLE before you start threatening to slap a woman. btw not a good look. Morocco is another Muslim country that before Europeans decided to invade it practiced INTEGRATION of the African as HUMAN not just slave. I know a lot. You know a lot. I'm not so stupid as to propose I am always right
@FlowerJutsu I know the history of spain and what does that have to do with anything. Even till this day muslims are still inslaving africans. You cant deny that islam was invovled in slavery period so was christianity, and jews. I think you need to understand that Islam,Christianity, and Judaism did more harm to africa and africans than good.
@Born2Flesh which is why islam encouraged the freeing of slaves when it first came about? the first man to give the call to prayer was a black man called bilal. the prophet muhammad (phuh) said no white man is anove a black man and no black man is above a white man. dont give me that crap, slavery existed a long time before islam and no one has mistreated black people the way the europeans have. save your ignorant crap for an ignorant fool like yourself. u people love to shit stir
To All of You viewing this, it is humorous but the title "Start of Slavery" is not accurate. The slave trade of Black people has three guilty parties (Europeans, Arabs and unfortunately, our own people). Let's tell it right so we can learn from it. By the way, the Arab enslaved Africans for 1400 years before Europeans got involved, let's tell that ugly story too.
There is no doubt that Christianity and islam have really F**ked Africa up.
These 2 religions are an abomination on the world but it is in Africa where they both will eventually die.
When Africa rises again and shows its true spirituality, culture and power, the whole continent will flourish and will eventually give birth to a new democracy that will spread across the whole world.
@throbule Christianity has nothing to do with it, wickedness does. People abuse something for their own selfish gain but that does not make the belief itself evil.
True spirituality is what in Africa? there are a million beliefs and the people are stil no better.
There is on true God and that God is not limited by the colour of ones skins for it He was He would be no God at all.
There is no one true god as you claim - if fact, there is no god at all.
People who believe such obvious rubbish are simply gullible.
And I don't know where you come from or where you've been in Africa, but the spirituality in many countries would make a joke of so called god religions.
Christians and muslims are responsible for millions of deaths throughout centuries - and their ridiculous religions will die too eventually.
@throbule you dont know what you are talking about.
Christians are not responisble for millions of deaths, they are false.
Christ said to love your enemies and turn the other cheek . He didnt say to force your beliefs on people through evikl crusades.
What you have done is taken the atrocities of those who say that come in the name of Christ and attribute it to Christianity. Christ said that many will say Lord Lord and He will say, "I dont know you".
@prn72271 To All of You viewing this, it is humorous but the title "Start of Slavery" is not accurate. @throbule I can gaurantee you that Christianity will never die, it has always flourshed inspite of the intense persecution for Truth MUST prevail.
Many Africans have turned to the real Christ and have renounced the idolatry of their fathers. In that I have no need to go to Africa for those who are there are turning to truth.
@throbul Jesus said that blessed are those who believe and have not seen. Well yes religion is not necessarily key, its not a bunch pf rules it a relationship with the most high God.
I will agree with you that Christianity is not as popular now but it was spread through perscution.
Thessalonians 2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a FALLING AWAY first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
@throbule it is more accurate to say that ideas be they religious or "scientific" both of which have been steeped in dogma, are tools used to protect the survival of those who believe they are the most fit. It matters not if the ideas be falacious or erroneous because morals and ethics are the fabrication of the human mind in the same way gods are. In the natural world might makes right, freedom and dignity aren't rights since we weren't created equal.
You talk of accuracy, yet your comment is vague, and the grammar, punctuation and rhythm is so bad, that I could not quite understand what point you were attempting to make.
Morals and ethics, whether man made or not, are generally a good thing.
Whereas 'god' based religions by their nature, are designed to deceive, delude and control
And every human being IS born (not created) equal - only the circumstances of birth are different.
@throbule I apologize for your inability to follow my comment given the limited space available. Your ad hominem is as obvious as it is irrelevant. It's not about a god it's about using a particular paradigm. West Africa or any section of the globe cannot rise without being amoral to some extent, nor would they choose someone born with severely limited intellectual capacity to lead them. If it tries it will be squashed by those who believe what you do with greater conviction. Great music tho.
Seriously? I omit a couple commas to save space, possibly use an incorrect superlative modifier, and that is all that is necessary to throw you into the depths of confusion?
You and I both know beyond any equivocation that you are not that slow.
@throbule To All of You viewing this, it is humorous but the title "Start of Slavery" is not accurate. @throbule The problem is African people have never been united. They have always had tribal wars which divided the people. This left them vulnerable to the Arab, the White man and now the Chinese and Indians are moving to screw them over. But, remember this, sciences has proven all mankind comes from Africans. Perhaps this is the reason we have been persecuted so much in history.
As sad and painful as this history is, this video is quite funny. Just think of the audacity of whites walking into an African village and nailing a notice on a post!!! Quite something eh!

@prn72271:
As we speak, it is already dying in many places.
The progress of all religions is the same - they are invented, then they spread, and as they grow in one place, they die in others.
Eventually all religions wither and die, because by their nature as man made, they are simply no more than fantasies.
You can believe what you believe, but it does not make it real.
The only reality is truth that you can demonstrate by showing irrefutable facts.
And no religion can do that.

Deluded are those who believe without logic, truth and demonstrable facts.
Of course christianity was spread through persecution!
Who but a fool would accept the ridiculous notion of a god unless he was tortured? Islam has done exactly the same (as all religions do).
You can quote all you want, but your quotes were all written by mortal men over hundreds of years from anecdotes, fables and fairytales.
Your relationship is with a second hand fantasy, not a fact.

Without rhythm, most music becomes unitelligible and the same goes for written language.
Without punctuation, I simply can't be bothered reading it.
My difficulty was with your English, not any substance there might have been in your comments, and I wasn't being offensive - just practical.
Happy new year!

ad hominem - superlative modifier - sorry but are we in some Regency film here?
I say forsooth that no proper punctuation, etc = a confused way of thinking.
Perhaps if one was to employ a smidgen of modern English instead of this convoluted sentence construction, we may go forth in harmony.
OtherwiseI fear all debate is in vain - and vexatious.
Just enjoy the music......
