Very good job. I was there in April/May 2007, and this is precisely what one sees at most main intersections. However, isn't is pleasant to watch the movements of a sane, civil society, one in which bicyclists, pedestrians, motorists, buses, taxis, and rickshaws all share the road without shouting insanities, flipping birds, or shooting one another? It was to me.

I agree. It is a freaking nightmare. We're in fall 2007, we reached 3 million cars in BJ. New thing is, we do also have more traffic jams on sundays now!!! In 2006 sundays were the only days were traffic was ok. Well... not any more! BJ is definitely a fun place , but traffic here is really a plague.

I do think, though, that traffic hasn't gotten much worse over the past few year, and with a couple thousand new cars on the road each day that says a lot about the decent job the government's done managing traffic.
