  • Now built an Arnold Swarchenegger robot

  • What happens if the cube pops?

    Will it continue turning?

  • @pronoob555

actually every single step, every turn is made perfectly and if the cube is well made, there aren't any possiblities of pop.

    Makes impression :)

  • IN YOUR FACE HUMAN-KIND!!!!!

  • sorry i didnt see the 15th step can you do it again

  • Does the track in the background have a name or is it only composed for this video?

  • @Ultrajuiced the track details are in the credits at the end of the video

  • I saw at lego world Denmark 2012, it came down at 3,834

  • which program is this on the galaxy ? could you give me the name pls

  • @MsProGamer97

It's the CubeStormer II. They made it.

  • @Uzerc yeah^^ but i mean the program which is scanning the cube on the galaxy.

  • @MsProGamer97

Yeah, that's it. The Android program is made by them and as you can see at 0:20 on the phone, it's called CubeStormer 2.

I don't think you can get it on yours though.

  • @Uzerc :-( thanx for the info

  • I saw the cubestormer II at LEGO world in Denmark where it came down at 5,226 sec it was so amazing!

  • Wow! :0

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • I elect it for congress.

  • o engenheiro Léo faz isso em 3 segundos.. ctz. kkkkkkkkk

  • o record mundial humano e de 5.66 de um australiano agora com essa maquina ai ja era :/

  • Awesome

  • I am so impressed right now O.o! Holy moly!!

  • what tha hell....o.O

  • i think its awesome that it is made out of legos

  • were can buy one of these

  • i want one

  • Its cool it really is, but isn't it more satisfying to solve it yourself?

  • @OfficialRivalGaming it could be but isnt it more satisfying to know that u built something that is able to solve it that could solve it in that time. think about it

  • @OfficialRivalGaming I think it is more satisfying to build such a complex robot to solve it ;)

  • @OfficialRivalGaming They did solve it themselves. In a far more interesting way.

  • @OfficialRivalGaming He can solve it all by himself aswell :)

  • a wonderful but completely useless piece of technology

  • The reason it is faster is because it simplifies the algorithm and finds shortcuts every time

  • Dear santa...

  • Is.. is it made of freaking legos..?

  • @DasXero damn straight it is

  • Idź z tym robotem na zawody.

Ciekawe czy w tedy pobijesz rekord

  • I WANT THAT !! (HOPE ITS NOT A PROTOTYPE!!!)

  • next thing u know robots will rule the world

  • you should put the touch censor on the bottom of the platform (where the cube goes) so you can just put the cube in and it automatically goes to work

  • @COWSGOYAZOO cool idea, but would not help with the official world record timing which starts with a button press.

  • do you have instructions?

  • @COWSGOYAZOO sorry ,no instructions

  • tracks name?

  • Please! do a slow motion version of this video!

  • Good!

  • how many nxt parts are there?

  • i need one of these things O_O

  • 厲害

  • Take that felkis

  • Humanity has about 100 more years before the machines take over

  • OMG the Samsung Galaxy S2!!! I love it!!

  • @dbercike5 are you a machine? I thought we destroyed every last one of you in the Great War.

  • I have the same phone (Samsung Galaxy SII) ♥ You should buy you won't regret it ^^

  • thats impossible, you cant solve the cube with so few moves every time!

  • @lub094 Every position of Rubiks Cube can be solved in twenty moves! Just look at cube20.org

  • @NilsyDK thats incredible! How can i get every 20 moves for a scramble?

  • @lub094 every rubik's cube 3x3 can be solved in 20 moves or less "God's Number is 20" (mostly around 18 moves)

  • @Holligan878 but where can i find a program that gives me those 20 moves for every scramble?

  • @lub094 I think "CubeExplorer" can do that, but you have to manually set the current cube's positions.

  • @R4nd0m0s1ty tx man it works!

  • we're all doomed...

  • and thats why an samsung galaxy s2 is better than an i phone XD

  • The robot just changes the colors in ultra-speed.

  • song?!

  • ¡¡¡¡ǝɯosʍɐ

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Are you planning on releasing the plans/phone app any time soon?

  • wow, sub feliks!

  • machine looks amazing...

    and it is

  • great

  • Can't see that well from this, but there seem to be a lot of NXT motors and sensors, are there two NXTs in that thing?

  • @OktoberSunset there are four NXTs, one for each arm (Mike can give you more details)

  • @IAssemble four! Wowzles! No wonder it's so fast with all those motors. lol, poor lil me doesn't even have one NXT, I've only got an RCX. I did see a 1 RCX solver just recently tho, not speedy, but it got there. Maybe I should have a go anyway.

  • @OktoberSunset yes, there are a lot of great LEGO solvers out there including at least one RCX solver and I created a single NXT-only solver ("MindCuber"). It's good to hear that you are inspired. Do have a go yourself - it's great fun! :-)

  • Wow!!!

  • Dear ARMflix

    We are proud

    From Lego mindstorms

  • Ohhhhh SHittttttttttt

  • APM DEL VALLE JAJAJAJAJAJA

  • We humans, to beat our records, don't get better. We build robots to be better than us!

  • i would love to switch two stickers on this cube and watch the robot strugle...

  • you should make tutorial pls :)

  • i bet it cant build a house out of dirt

  • shit, hope it doesn't become self aware!

  • @captainrawn253 I think the phone's doing the thinking, robot is just commanded

  • @captainrawn253 easy dude its it doesn't have any AI its only math and color recognition

  • WTF!!!!!!

  • There's an ap for that

  • brain.exe is not responding.

  • brain.exe is not responding.

  • 61 people cant solve the cube

  • pretty cool

  • Let's see an iPhone do that.

  • I require the plans for this.

  • i can do a lego house.

  • what the actual fuck?

    it even looks good!

  • A sphere that solves a cube-

    IMPOSSIBRU!!

  • that robot is asian...

  • @billyball2 I thought all robots were..

  • WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

    BENITA YU

    HI BOSS

  • TheChrisNong

    if you were right,

there is no question of gs2 do that.

  • Chuck Norris can do it in 2 seconds.

  • nao tinha outra coisa pra fazer nao?

  • LEGO ♥

  • que fodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I bet Samsung built that robot just to promote the phone

  • Where is the github page for this?

  • This is the wonder for a common man but for genius like you is an easy task for cube

  • What a piece of work is a man! How noble in

Reason! how infinite in faculties! in form and moving

how express and admirable! In action how like an Angel!

in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the

    world! the paragon of animals!

  • @bboyneko Hamlet

  • Man, I wish I'd had one of these things way back when.

  • As a young, aspiring programmer, (and someone who played with Legos for years) I have to say, this is amazing. I don't know if you read the comments, but if you do:

    1. How long did it take to code this?

    2. Did you write the Rubik's Cube solving algorithm yourselves, or did you find an implementation of it online?

  • @EnigmaticProcession check out the description

  • @EnigmaticProcession I've developed all my own algorithms for solving the Rubik's Cube and larger cubes in my spare time over the last three or four years. At first they were straightforward extensions to the method I worked out to solve the puzzle myself when the cube became available back in about 1980. The algorithm we use for CubeStormer II is based on an advanced, two-phase algorithm that I developed for my Yellow Cube Machine and Android Speedcuber robots.

  • this is incredible

  • a very very useful invention... it will definitely cure cancer and many others diseases...

  • @padelis89 Assuming that's sarcasm... What's wrong with inventing for innovation's sake? Also, you seem to be confused as to what's productive about this. You expect purely medical advances, but is presented with programming and mechanical advances, and fail to understand that both are used in medicine, as there are robots specifically made for performing various operations and are vastly superior in precision than mortal hands.

  • The grips rotate around a fixed technic axle, the open/close servo pushes/pulls this axle to open/close the fingers using a series of levers within the body of the grip. :)

  • @RoboticSolutions make sure you actually reply to legofunny1, otherwise he won't get your message.

  • @Hazzagriff Thanks, I have sent him a message :)

  • @RoboticSolutions Welcome :)

  • SO I understand how that nice thins work... BUT I HAVE ONE Question: How can open the Arms/the 2 Fingers, I mean on the back is one motor which move than- but HOW does it work??

  • Please post instructions / app code / NTX program code :)

  • AMAZING

  • are you going to share the building instructions and the codes?

    this is really impressive!!!!

  • @casperycghost We have no immediate plans to produce any building instructions,or release the programming code for Cubestormer II, maybe sometime in the future?

  • IN YOUR FACE, HUMANKIND!

  • nice

  • OMGosh this is sooo cool!:) That doesn't even cover it! It's amazing! It really beats the older version!:)

  • heck lot faster than that other 1 he made

  • Im not going to tell you again, DO NOT stick your junk in there cause you wont get it back....

  • how did you get it so speedy?

  • @ultimatelighting We worked really hard to get Cubestormer 2 as fast as possible, from selecting the optimum gearing for torgue/speed, through to intelligent software which selects the fastest solve for the machine.

  • @RoboticSolutions man that's genius... nice machine :) i wonder how you could use the software of the phone to work with the NXT, but i'll try to figure it out myself :p

  • @ultimatelighting The algorithm that I wrote for the Galaxy S II uses over 300MB RAM so will not run on the NXT which only has about 64KB RAM! However, I have developed an algorithm that runs on the NXT (although it produces solutions with more moves than CubeStormer II). I used this on my MindCuber design (see my channel).

  • @ultimatelighting or did I misunderstand your question - were you asking how the software on the phone communicates with the NXT? If so, the answer is by using bluetooth to access the NXT "mailbox" or "message" queues. LEGO provide some documentation about the bluetooth data formats required to do this on their MINDSTORMS site.

  • @IAssemble thanks :) the only thing i need to do now is to look for a job, to pay all of this :p

  • who can dislike this!?

  • Wow! I'm impressed! Well done!

  • wow! i want to have this machine)

  • impressive

  • Android FTW.

  • Technically, It should be around 4 seconds because in a cubing competition, they let you analyze the cube first (analyzing not part of time)

  • @powerofthecube guinness rules count inspection time as part of total solve time

  • @Lorentz5 Ok, but im sorry.

You have no idea what the f*** you are talking about.

Look at my channel name. poweroftheCUBE. I AM A CUBER. I GO TO COMPETITIONS. They dont count your inspection time as part of your solve. I strongly recommend knowing what the hell you are talking about before posting.

BTW, there are no "guinness rules" about inspection for cubing.

  • @powerofthecube They don't count inspection time as part of the solve for humans, but the creator of the cubestormer himself has said "[y]es, the Guinness World Record rules for the fastest robot solve require the inspection time to be included." Scroll down in the comments here and find IAssemble and ask him yourself, or read more on the speedsolving forum. I have also contacted GB with the same question several months ago since I was building my own model, to which they gave me the same answer

  • do you have what kind of method the robot is using? o.O

  • @MycroDomin it's a table-driven two-phase algorithm that I developed myself originally for my Yellow Cube Machine and refined for Android Speedcuber and then CubeStormer II

  • @ARMfilx Did you guys use a computer generated scramble or did you hand scramble the cub?

and also could you be able to make it able to flow computer generated scrambles to scramble the rubiks cube? and not solve it ? and also what type of cube did you use? rubiks brand? or is it moded?

  • @Techmyst42 this video shows a solve of a hand-scrambled cube but we used WCA rules with a computer generated scramble for the official Guinness World Record solve see: watch?v=cHXTEBihbN8

In both cases the cube was an original, lubricated but otherwise unmodified, branded Rubik's Cube (although the one in this video has the logo covered to simplify the color discrimination)

Yes, the software could be modified to scramble the cube rather than solve it.

  • Tutorial?

  • What is that app called in the android ?

  • @BecauseOfWR I called the app "CubeStormer II". However, it is a custom app and has not been published.

  • Nice

  • holy shit

  • @pingsamy umad bro?

  • fuck machines that solve puzzles... SERIOUSLY!!!! PUZZLES WERE MADE SO YOU SOLVE THEM, NOT A STUPID MACHINE THAT SOLVES IT... im really sad and angry bout this shit

  • @PinGsamY whoa whoa umadbro? you do realize that the real "puzzle" here was the challenge of 1) building the robot and 2) programming the robot... you might be able to solve the rubiks 3x3x3, but i doubt you can do anything that the cubestormer ii team did to get this awesomebot together...

  • @lpeabody they are destroying the game... now we cant talk about records and say wow ... that guy made .... oh wait there will always be a robot which make it faster... X(

  • @PinGsamY Any robot record is a human achievement that took a lot of smarts and ingenuity to make. A Rubik's Cube is a good challenge for a robot builder. This is wonderful!

  • @Fuller1754 Thanks :D

  • all the people that disliked this video are just mad because they don't have one to solve their rubik's cubes

  • Wow! I guess I'm going to need another set to build something like this... or maybe six :P

  • Wwwwooooowww incredible

  • This sir, will change the ENTIRE WORLD.

  • 5 seconds 0_0

  • thats fucking crazy and even crazier is made out of legos. I need one of those to solve mine xD

  • why does the timer start, when the robot is just watching st the cube.

the time would be about 4.4 sec instead

  • @Mataulemetru for robots is like that. Time starts since the robot examines it

  • MAN but a new cube :/

  • holy fuck man

  • WTF!? Как у них получилось собрать такую машину из конструктора LEGO!?

  • Comment removed

  • @BrittanysMusicVideos What are you talking about? It scanned every side before it started solving it.

  • i can do it too... if you slow time down to 10000000 hours a second
