Man is he right about how we learned! Moving that damn needle to just the right spot became a talent in itself! If I had half the resources kids today have to learn from I'd be 10 times the guitarist I am today! I expect a lot of great music from them now. You're turn kids.
And another thing, I think it'd be really interesting to sit down and talk with Elliot Easton, he seems like a really intelligent guy when it comes to music and influences.
My favorite solo by Elliot is from Tonight She Comes. Its also my favorite to play thanks to the songster app on my ipod. This jamvox tool seems pretty cool too! If only we had all this high tech learning gear back in the late 70's and early 80's!
I have a Mac Pro, running OSX 10.6.7. JamVox isn't working yet after using the original software and upgrading to the latest "hotfix." Importing tracks takes forever. I was really thinking this was a great idea, but if you're not Elliot Easton, you don't have a Vox engineer around to make it work. Hope I can get a refund if it doesn't work.
@jerseystringer Hi. I have the sam problem...but on the JamVox forum I found this solution proposed by a user..and it works! here is the link, .Hope it helps. bye
@Vikck you can put anything you want inline before your signal even hits the monitor input...if you wanna use the onboard wah then you need to buy the expression pedal.
You plug the guitar directly into the wah first... out of the wah into the amp-u-lator. No, it won't ever sound like the tube amps they have pictures of in the software.
By any chance, have you tried to use a pedal to control the delay tempo? I see there's a pulldown menue that you can select time signatures like 4, 3/4 4/3) but i can't seem to hear a difference. Basically, I'm trying to get a "dotted 8th" delay sound.

What is you guys overall opinion of this product? I'm really close to buy it, but I would like some others opinions.

I'm not a musician, but as an enthusiast,
gamer, and aspiring weekend musician,
I think of it as Rock Band 3 Pro.
If your going to be actually recording
and playing gigs, it's really useful. I'd
think I'd buy this as after I got good at
the new full sim mode in RB3.

hmm. first he has beige shoes on, and suddenly black? And according to the jamvox manual, you can't connect a wah pedal. only the korg pedal...
Vikck 2 years ago 2
You can connect a wah in line with the input
