Its not really a glitch, all you are doing is disabiling the phyisical model of the tower by setting off a new geometry plane where the model is not loaded. Also stop calling it a time travel glitch, its just loading and unloading geometry.

@OriginalAJER well, tht would be "glitching" it for oen thing since thts what glitching is. and Time travel is the name of the glitch (as stated several tiems by the guy who amd the vid) becuase its almsot what your doing. ur "travelling back in time" to the begginign of the level. as he said, glitches need names, appealing names, and the "Loading and unloading geometry" gltich doesnt sound appealing at all.

Good vid, but your assumptions are a bit incorrect; of course the tower is empty at that point; all objects are hollow from the inside, until you enter it. If the Xbox 360 would have to keep all of that data and memory loaded, it would overheat and explode. ;)

Maybe it's worth to try this again, with the hornet outside of the tower, so you can fly downward to the entry point. I'm sure nothing's extra in it but at least you will be able to explore the outside structure, i'm sure.

To clear all the confusion,

1) There's no such thing as "Time Traveling" in Halo 3, You were practically out of the designated map where you should've been, if you touch the trigger, the map will load whenever you are previously or should be in.

2) Bungie didn't "Programmed" inside the second tower, because they knew you don't have to go in the tower. It's design your looking for, without design, the game would be pretty much without a map.

Actually, Time Traveling is the name of the glitch you use to get out of the map in Halo 3 and then load an entire section of another map. So there is a such thing. It's just a name like Geo-Merging or eXo Arm Glitch and so on. Every glitch needs a name. Why not this glitch?

There is no such thing as Time Traveling. What you may be thinking of, is that the BSPs (level geometry or in tech terms binary seperation plane) is split up into chunks so the game engine doesnt have to render it all at once, which would cause major FPS dropping and the game would probably crash. You probably hit a trigger volume to trigger it to go back to the previous BSP.

@FlamingRain231 .BSP's are used in Valves source engine games, I highly doubt that Bungie is using the Source Engine for Halo 3, if they were, we would see a VALVe logo on the box and other things. You're right about everything else though :)

its not time travel, the machine is simply unable to process the information you are putting in it because its not suposed to do that, its a glitch, but only one where all the images become mashed togwther as the machine tries to figure out what its should and should NOT do. The creators of the game didnt NOT allow you to go there, but they didnt make it a specific point, so initially, the machine gets confused and puts everything together as one.

Outskirts in Halo 2 is also pretty fucked up with it's loading and checkpoints. oyu mghit nto even mean to get out of the map, but it happens. I was trying to find that damn sklul where it took like 9 checkpoints to activate by going across the rooftops. I fell near the Pelican by the sniper spawn and ended up sort of under the map..

Not checkpoints, but loading points. He's just hitting the loading point in the wrong area to you spawn some where else when you load up the new bsp. Its basiclally just the same as backtracking through the level to where you started but taking a different way.

I think what it does is what Crytobones117 said... It doesnt skip loadin points or check points tho... Wht I think it does is pretty much pause the game... It reloads all the LOADING POINTS but freezes them... And will let u skip some other LPs...

Iv seen something similar in Halo 1... An elite is ment to be in one LP area and a door blocks it.... But get the elite through the doors and he will freeze with his proper LP, being the only part not in the current LP area from a different LP...
