Look dude, Yeah America has it's problems, like all places do. I mean, like I have been working since I was eighteen, no medical and I have eczema which can become very painful(which is why I miss cali and its "medicine") In any case, I if moving to California is what you want to do, then do your homework and try various job sites to see what there is available. Don't let anyone get you down about your dreams. Peace and Love-Crystal
no, living here as long as I have has made me hate this place more than anything else I could imagine. I'm merely saying that he wont like it. most Europeans don't and crawl back home to their perspective countries. and to any Europeans who choice to live here, like it, love it, became a citizen, etc... they're all blood traitors.
I want back to NL badly,,My dutchie doesnt want to leave yet . He is a professional that requires a license so it is not so bad for us money -wise ( I am native Texan ) I don't care how much money he makes ,, it is AWFUL here. Anyway the INS is so tight, you'll either have to get married ,be sponsored by another family member here ( no friends ) or be sponsored by an employer .Which at this point is nearly impossible.Working for a Dutch company over here is a better alternative..
I know that at one time you were studying to be a nurse. You may not have felt it was for you, but there is a shortage of nurses in the US, and it would be easier for you to get a visa.
What job are you looking for? Availability of jobs in the US varies from state to state. Might I suggest New York? Our country is in a recession.. so job hunting will be more difficult than it should be. Best of luck to you!
Moving to America might seem like the greatest, newest big step in your life, but make sure you live in the present and make your time over there right now the best it can be.
It's never good to get hung up on daydreams and not make the best of what you have right now.
Also Cali seems amazing, I wish I could say I've been. I never ever leave Canada, don't know what my problem is haha.
America is the asshole of the world. stay in Europe. I'd kill to go home to Germany. oh and have fun find working here, this countries economy is complete and utter shit too.
As an American, I know how tough life is here and how shitty US public policy is compared to Europe. However, we shouldn't discourage Eric from spending some time in San Diego. He's a young guy looking for adventure and to broaden his horizons. I did the same thing while I was in Europe. If after a few years he gets sick of America, he has a family in The Netherlands to whom he can always go back.
I'm a 20 year old German stuck in this shithole because my family said "lets go to America, we will find a better life" and moved here when I not but a month old. Id rather of grown up in post communist East Germany where I was born then ever of stepped foot in the fuck shit country. save your pro-American bullshit from someone who cares. I'm merely pointing out the fact that most us European know, or should at least realize, that this country is a shithole and no one should want to live here.
Me, pro-American? Hardly! Did you even read my response closly enough to see that I criticize the difficulties of life in America caused by misguided US social policy?
The point of my original post (in case living in America for so long has made you so unintelligent that you are unable to extrapolate it for yourself) is that you shouldn't discourage Ericos from wanting to live abroad for a little bit.

Why not consider going to school in the US?

Not yet actually. Would it be that difficult then?

Just marry one of your subscribers. I'm sure one of us would be more than happy to marry Ericos!
Unassumingcalbloke 2 years ago
Haha but I have to marry first in my own country then, cause they don't allow gays to marry there. =]]

It can be, especially without a college education. Unemployment is pretty high here, and when that happens they tighten the restrictions.

qualcomm is good if you're into tech stuff.. they have like 300 jobs open in computer this and that..
and sharp hospital has 300 jobs and is building, as well.... (they have a few different locations, i think it's all san diego)
