Then I waited 6mon more after win7 came out to finally up keep the compat drivers and I am a happy camper my new rig just the tower cost me 1k dual radian hd cards w/ triple display, xfi, 2tb of wd black hdd, a phenom II quad 3.2 with 8gb 55524 dual ripjawram, n I love Alice shes sexy!!

@ipod3gtoucher I just upgraded my tower but ran out of money so I just got a phentom II 3.2ghz with 8gb 5-5-5-24 but my mobo can support the new amd 6 core, so time you get your laptop maybe I will have my 6 core :), the only laptop I got is a HP dv9000 first gen w/ dual boot xp pro '02 & ubuntu, its a tank I love it but all other laptops I hate only HP and Mac laps I like but towers I will always make custom towers. Best luck at getting the new laptop and hope it wont crash on ya :)

I saw you are running Windows boot camp , any errors seen while running Windows without actually running Windows is invalid as an argument.

Sure Vista sucked but I have used every version of Windows ever since 2000 and I have NEVER had a software error.

Most errors are caused by something the user did wrong or by poorly written third-party software.

Also a blue screen happens when hardware malfunctions or because of drivers, not software, which is likely since you are running fake windows.

@crashnoww Well I admit that "fake windows" was not entirely accurate (right now I can't exactly remember why I wrote that) but boot camp is run through Mac OS using BIOS emulation, meaning it has to go through Mac OS first making it harder for windows to interact with the hardware resulting in a higher probability of errors.

@JonBj2 no. let me give u a 1on1 on this. boot camp it's an app that partitions your hdd, installs windows (only if u want to) and provides drivers for your mac's hardware. the point of it is to make everything very easy. after u've done all that, u must restart the mac, hit a key on boot, and a partition/hdd selection will appear. at this point u must select mac os OR windows. if u select windows, it will boot just like on your ordinary pc. in other words, it's just like dual booting a pc......

@crashnoww in fact, the mac os partition/hdd it's not even accessible from windows... u know... virus spreading and shit. windows will run at native speed, which it's shit btw. apps like parallels and vmware are emulating pc components, including the bios, because that's necessary in order to run windows or other os within mac os. with boot camp u can't do that, it only works if u restart your mac and boot from windows. i know because i've done this. so stop spreading shit around.

Windows, not just Vista sucks. Hell, it always has and I've used it since version 3.1 which was released about 20 freaking years ago. How screwed up in Vista? I just check Problem Reports and solutions. On my system a laughable 84% of these problems are caused by Windows itself and of that number 71% as of yet have no solution. Is that was users should expect for a OS that has been around for over two decades? I think not. Micorosoft sucks, always has, probably always will.

So considering that those issues can only be taken care of if the user knows what they're doing, Windows 7 lacks in the usability field. This is, like I said, due to the vast amount of users being completely computer illiterate.

I've had more problems with XP then I've had with Vista. Actually, nothing has happened to my computer with Vista - as in no "Blue Screen of Death" (which I thought was going to completely ruin my computer - I know it's hard to believe.
