Mine had to have an eyelid lift, a surgical procedure so he could see. We thought the poor thing was blind at first. They have worst eye gunk problem that you have clean away every morning, but they are the most loveable, loyal, and funny dog breeds.

I know what you mean about the eyes, our Shar pei comes when I say "let me get your eyes". I wipe her eyes and she loves visine eye drops. Goofy dog!

I have a 16 week old little girl one, Sharlie and she is exactly the same. My husband and I were in fits of laughter the first couple of nights having her. Its not just the snoring either, theres noise all day, it's like she walks around talking.....and the eating OMG!!! She's soooo adorable and smoochy.

he surely snores more than normal. it looks like it is almost painful for him to breathe. This might be an inherited defect called soft palate which because of their short snout can cause the nasal passage to swell and the breathing to become quite dificult. You should get it checked with a vet (but better get insured first!) if this is the case they can operate and fix it. My shar pei has a longer snout but he had an operation on his eyes that was also inherited condition. hope your pup is fine

this poor pup seems like he has a nasal problem- I sure hope he can breathe- I love this breed but their wrinkles cause lots of issues- please take care of this doggy.
