  • I was there when their timeship landed. We were all rocking out to Paramore backstage in Madison, Wisconsin. Next thing you know this video appeared out of nowhere with a man in a bikini running all over the place.

  • @Clayman311 I'm sorry, what?

  • @GrungeSophie You stupid cunt this is written by paramore

  • @Clayman311 awww shit ya old blastoise in the face ass didnt know u could use surf head ass mofo. Fuckin no eyes no ears no nose no mouth no brain face ass!!! stupid ass cant get ya head out yo ass to see the picture clearly face ass! stop sniffin your own shit AND READ ABOUT IT FUCKFACE! Failure came out with this in 2004 paramore covered it on their "The Summer Tic" EP in 2006.

  • U mean paramore covered these fags. Get you're facts straight. This song has been out since the 90's.

  • OMG these fags have covered paramore already!! ITS LIKE SHIT HOLLYWOOD REMAKES OF FILMS THAT ARE 5 YEARS OLD. AMERICA FUCK OFF AND LEAVE UK ALONE OK

  • @Clayman311 Paramore definitely covered these guys......

  • @undergroundrevolt Get to fuck ya wee tool. Paramore wrote this song. End of.

  • @Clayman311 successful troll is successful.

  • i love Paramore and both versions of this song but in Hayleys something is missing.

  • I knew this was the original, so wanted to check it out. But honestly I prefer the cover. Then again, that's probably just because I like Paramore.

    Good song, though.

  • Eu realmente achava que a música era do Paramore. :x

  • Great band, great album. Also see Ednaswap's "Wacko Magneto" and Virgos Merlot's "Signs of a vacnat soul". Brilliant all.

  • these guys remind me a little of marcy playground, who i also adore <3

    lovely song

  • failure is one of the best bands. i miss this band so much and i miss the 1990s so much.

  • @charlizejustice Amen brother.

  • @charlizejustice Well said my friend. Evolving music styles, rich artistic landscapes, and 89 cent a gallon gas. I miss the "hunt" for music. Going to a late night Tower Records, finding switched DJ's or record store junkies with organic recommendations. I miss personalities. I miss the way girls experimented with colorful clothing and cosmetics. Then again...My time machine would be set to a time that I wouldn't have to relive the Seattle movement, except Alice In Chains...

  • failed to find interest

  • I'm still confused as to why so many websites call Failure "heavy metal"

  • this isn't the whole song

  • I am so fucking sick of the cut and paste jokes about the dislikes on youtube videos.

(Number of people) are (some god-awful joke relating to video/rival video)

Fuck you if you've ever posted one. Fuck you if you've ever thumbed one up.

I wish I could disable the comments feed on all videos so I wouldn't have to see that inane shit.

I just wanted to see a good video by a good band. I didn't want to see some fucking retarded joke about Paramore.

  • @Heatherzombieface Why don't you take your own advice?

I would appreciate you not bitching at me about how I'm bitching about things unrelated to you. You'll notice I didn't direct my complaint at anyone specific (when I posted it there was one of those dumb comments I mentioned at the top of the page where I couldn't help but see it), instead making it a general rant session directed at no one specific.

    In summation, piss off.

    Sincerely, some random internet person

  • @TheRandomwordsgohere That's EXACTLY how I feel

About people who bitch over nothing. Stop whining and fix your tampon.

  • @gamer6592 As I've said before - take your own goddamn advice. Stop whining at me, and while you're at it, try using an insult that wasn't stale by the end of high school.

  • @TheRandomwordsgohere @gamer6592

arguing on youtube? Really? Grow up guys and just stop already.

  • @conorlovesfaces [starts to respond with snark but then thinks about it for a second]

    Yeah, good point.

  • @conorlovesfaces Asking "really" when the situation is quite real. Let me know when you're out of diapers. Angsty teens on this website, I swear.

  • @gamer6592 You're the one acting like a 5 year old in a pathetic argument, bro. :)

  • @conorlovesfaces Nice opinion there. It is a fact that teenagers do the whole "really" thing in obviously real situations. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your ass you would see this. I like how you jumped into the argument to argue about how pathetic my argument is. LOLOLOL ironic. You're a silly little cunt

  • @gamer6592 I'm not even going to argue, because you're being pathetic mate. Carry on stereotyping me as a teenager, because my maturity flies miles above yours.

  • @conorlovesfaces YAY! More opinions! Sweet! Are you a homosexual? Your picture looks queer as fuck. I know you're going through a tough little suburban time right now. Just know that every other little teenager friend of yours is right there to stand angsty by your side. Have fun being a needlessly depressed little twat.

  • @gamer6592 That ironic moment when I'm neither gay, angsty, depressed nor a twat. Infact you're proving yourself to be the twat here, my friend.

I'm not going to argue with you, I merely suggested you grow up yourselves and stop arguing. Instead you decided to target me. Find something better to do with your life, mate. I sure as hell have other things I'm doing than sitting on Youtube having arguments with total strangers. :) Cya. <3

  • @conorlovesfaces What do you call it when you say something is ironic and that in itself is ironic along with the rest of the irony in your post? LOL. You are arguing with me (kind of like you said you weren't going to do in your last comment. HAHAHA. So much for that one) and telling me you have better things to do than argue yet you continue to respond? Promptly, at that.

Anyways, I really just have to know, what is your gender?

  • @TheRandomwordsgohere It funny cause I see a ton of comments like this on ton of videos. Shits annoying too.

  • Wow I loved this song in high school. Played it over and over and over.

    Fuck Paramore's version. ORIGINAL.

  • I love lamp.

  • i didn't even realize a band called paramore covered this until just now. it's a good (albeit different) interpretation of a great song. so who gives a cunt's crabs?

  • okay, i get that it's by failure but most didn't know, so quit bagging.

  • Failure is way better than Paramore. Paramore is just another generic rock band, nothing special.

  • I am fan of paramore but I HATE when the people says that the version of paramore its better that the original. in any cover! I HATE THAT ...MAN!

  • I rest my case. The post below says it completely. Grew up listening to mediocore music and that is all their ear can distinguish. I love every genre of music in the past and present. I know more about music then you will ever in your whole life. What Paramore does is exactly like every over-hyped radio band does right now. These is nothing original or cliched. Instead of trying to defend them, why not stretch your musical tastes out, they you would see why us musical purists are criticizing.

  • @lennyrex1 to be fair, it can't really be said which music is pure and which isn't (universally)... thats all subject to personal choice but it can be said which is annoying and repetitive and riding the coat-tail of all the other "garunteed fan-base" crap.

  • obviously, we, teens, prefer paramore's version because we grew up listening to 'overcommercialized' music. yes, i love paramore, even if it is commercial or not. in the end it's rock, alternative rock, so start respecting other's taste in music. i don't give a fuck of this version because i just listened to it and i didn't liked it, but that doesn't mean that i'm gonna start criticizing it.

  • @Milepaxii alternative implies it isn't mainstream. I'm quite sure paramore is mainstream (i'm not knocking it) but i know my alt rock. commercial music is like processed deep-fried food..at first (as a kid) it's easy to digest because the flavor is simple and what you like about it is obvious to find, but as you wise up over the years you find it becomes greasier and bland.. and thats when you rather somethin a bit more cultured/creative/alternative.

  • Those who say Paramore's version is better obviously have their heads so far up the overcommercailized music scene's ass that they wouldn't know good music if it fell on them like a sack full of 10 ton bricks. I've heard many songs from Paramore and they sound exactly like all of the other cliched bands who play that emo-ish / nu-metal power chords bullshit. sigh. If you like failure check out Shiner, Pelican, and the Life and Times. Oh don't forget Hum

  • @lennyrex1 Damn I loved Hum when they came out. Pelican is amazing, too.

  • If you love failure and have their three albums, make sure you check out On, Year of the Rabbit, Autolux, and Ken Andrews solo work.

Oh the the Paramore version sucks ASSSSS!!!!!

  • If you love failure and have their three albums, make sure you check out On, Year of the Rabbit, Autolux, and Ken Andrews solo work.

  • This sounds nothing like Kurt Cobain, more like a mix of Pavement and My Bloody Valentine's Only Shallow

  • I wanna play drums for Failure... :(

  • To be honest, if Paramore did a cover, then that just means they love it too.

I think both versions are fantastic.

  • who the fuck is parmoore?

  • when u got people like troy and ken, music like this isn't hard to make

  • ppl stop hating on paramore just 'cos they like this song 2, & covered it XD

  • OMG, paramore covered this song, & i heard it was a cover, & i didn't know who it was by, & then i heard that they like Failure, so i checked them out, & i knew it was this song, XD

  • paramore did a good job with this song, but clearly the original is awesome-er.

  • used to get stoned as shit to this album in my college dorm.

  • @peyoteugly Haha did you take huge bong rips where they included that sample of one?

  • I still can't believe Paramore felt the need to cover this song...I'm not hating, I'm just saying is all.

  • @jonasbrosfaannaatic1 I'm not a crazy fan of Paramore, but coming from Jonas Bros Faannaatic? Just saying, it's kinda funny.

  • why is the video unwatchable visibly? anyone else have this prob?

  • Comment removed

  • I could never get this tune out of my head when I was 10 and 11. It was too cool! I was 10 when Failure released "Stuck On You".

  • I really like Paramore, but this is definitely the more superior version.

You've gotta respect Paramore for digging this band, how could you not like Failure though?

  • I love Paramore and even I think that their version is awful.

  • Omg!! I remember being a teenager at Westmoor HS and listening to this song in the car. I miss being a teen. It was a truly carefree time only when you're young you may not think so. But it really was.

  • @21jenniferj Westmoore HS, in Moore, Oklahoma? :-D I went to Harrah and this song was something I just found looking up some old tunes from HS. Good times.

  • sorry to say this but i like paramores version way better thats just my opinion though.

  • oh c´mon! stop comparing bands! they´re both different and everybody has a different opinion, if you don´t like Paramore then shut up, both bands are great, you don´t need to compare and stop saying crap because nobody cares what you think if you are just criticizing!

  • this sucks..I'd much rather listen to SWANS.

  • come on ! there is Failure's version and Paramore's version ! Paramore is my fav band but i must admit that Failure's version is better... is it really a necesity to discuss which band is better when we all know that it would lead to nowhere ? please ! i think we are all grown ups here...

  • @Senfiores at least you admit Failure's version is better so that's great to hear.

  • @Senfiores Yes, i love Paramore and yes the discussion will lead to nowhere. And, yes, this version is better .-. Good point. (:

  • 38 tweens are stuck on paramore and not failure.

  • WTF is paramore? This song is the original, WTF is paramore anyway?

  • I didn't know paramore did a cover of this. I thought it was their original song. so therefore I heard the paramore version first & fell in love with it<3 so of course i like the paramore version better! but this is a good song<3

  • paramore is amazing. this is, blech

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx hey..... fucking moron....... paramore covered this.... written by ken andrews of Failure. At least they obviously have some musical taste to cover such a great song. Now..... go stab your eardrums with a dick. You obviously have no ear for music.

  • @TR3Bastra paramore is way better than this so im so glad they covered it and turned it into a song

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx Please be joking.

  • @VeniUbique heck no idk how you people listen to this i just wanted to check out the original and i was like eww!!!

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx i was reading your comment and i was like fucking ewwww..fuck off

  • @FujisawaRuuzaa u r just upset cuz u arent as talented as paramore hater

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx what is paramore? is it some kind of a disease??

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx you should jump in a fire, along with your music taste. sheep.

  • @xxoursecretrevengexx worthless wannabe-scenester prick. I bet you have your earlobes stretched out to accommodate your shitty taste in "punk rock", right?

  • cute song.

the paramore song cover is just as good as this.

its nice to hear the difference between the male and female emotions coming through in the song.

  • recorded this in a cassette tape before, I only got the chorus in the last part. After so many years, here it is and wtf failure was the band who made this, I only heard enjoy the silence from them. AMazing band. too bad they're gone just like the 90's, best years of my life with the best songs ever made.

  • PARAMORE = SHIT

    THIS BAND = GOD

  • @TheArchetype18 You = Shit

    Retard

  • @TheArchetype18 You tell em. If you're going to mindlessly rant about some sub par bitch band don't do it here. Video title is Failure not paramore.

  • i like paramore's better bitch if you want......

  • @mEtAlMaNiAc787 me too

  • @mEtAlMaNiAc787 i like their cover better, i love her voice. but i like failure too.

  • I don't see why some people get a sense of superiority when they say they don't listen to the stuff that's mainstream. Not liking something because everybody else likes it is just as stupid as liking something because everybody else likes it. I love this song, and I love the cover from Paramore, though I prefer it because it suits my tastes better. If the band is pleased with it, then not much else should matter. Music is music. No more. No less. Just shut up and listen.

  • 35 kids are upset they stayed up past their bedtime to listen to real music.

  • hey, this band has such a fitting name. ;P

seriously, i bet all of you guys saying 'PARAMORE SUX' haven't heard, like, any of their songs. 'cept the ones like 'the only exception'. like have you ever heard any of their songs from riot! or awkif? paramore = <3

  • @eambers Y'know, you're right about the Paramore bit, they really are a good band. However to say this band has a fitting name? You're just as bad as the people you just mentioned. You've probably only heard this song and won't go any further. Failure were a great band and their music speaks to a lot of people. Seriously, don't be such a hypocrite and actually listen to their music, you'll enjoy it.

  • @eambers shut it

  • @eambers Yeah, my little sister's way into them. They suck.

  • ohhh how i miss the 90s...

  • *sigh* There Is, No Way, To Forget This Song. Failure cleverly created it that way. From the first time you hear it, even if you don't listen to the lyrics, you will want to hwar it again. Once you hear the lyrics, this song will become self-descriptive, amd will itch inside your earbrain as the stickiest song ever produced. YOU ARE WARNED!!!

  • To whom belongs this song orginally?

    To Paramore? Or to Failure?

  • @NamidaMu Failure - '96

  • @NamidaMu Failure from 1996's Fantastic Planet album

  • @NamidaMu Failure from 1996's Fantastic Planet album

  • phenomenal song. Best album they did was fantastic planet. Best song though is 'another space song', although 'the nurse who loved me' is up there to

  • Isnt this Paramores song?

  • @TheMrMortensen lol gtfo with that shit

  • A friend of mine said:

"I feel like if Kurt Cobain came back to life and joined forces with Radiohead, this would be the result."

  • @eric22rr More like if Rivers Cuomo got his heart broken, got together with Jonny Greenwood, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl.

  • @ExclaimedMusic even better way to put it

  • @eric22rr Ken Andrews and troy were a bad ass combination.

  • @eric22rr BAWWWWW, look. babys first troll.

  • @eyeofshera ugh.... how so?

  • @eyeofshera I was just sharing a comment that someone made about this band and this song -- that's all. And I didn't say I disagreed or agreed with it -- I simply thought it was interesting. I don't really see how that qualifies as trolling...

  • just to say barely anyone knows paramore sing this because it's in a b-sides album and if anyone wanted to hear the original they wouldn't of heard it from paramore would they? plus paramore aren't gonna profit from covering this lmao they never released it as a single or anything so i don't see what the big deal is

  • @adambmajeri

It's not paramore's song. Derp. Obviously they profited. They even said it was a cover and a song they were inspired by.

  • @BrilliantIrony i know it's not a fucking paramore song. Derp. i have been a fan since the beggining or RIOT! and i never heard the song untill i looked into the band like a crazy mad fan, so you don't need to be all. derp. k.

  • @adambmajeri agreed ! i mean seriously? paramore cant even sing a song w/o people jumping all over it ? they just *sang* it, its not like its on their album..

  • Used to really dig these guys, the Replicants and Lusk. i'd say 'Magnified' was the better of the two LP's by a good margin. Great single though, thought they were finally going to be huge when this hit.

  • Check out a podcast review of Failure's Fantastic Planet on Dig Me Out, a weekly podcast dedicated to digging up lost College Rock, Alt Rock, Indie Rock and Hard Rock of the 1990s, one album at a time. digmeoutpodcast . com

  • I love failure which is why we chose it, in no way to demean the song or band.. but to show more appreciation than anything :)

  • Same here like I like this song but I like paramore's version better I don't know y probably because I like hayley Williams voice better I don't know but still it's a good song for who ever sings it

  • @cutieblue412 i just got done listening to paramore's version and being a huge fan of failure id'e have to disagree with you. failure sings it better in my opinion, mostly because when you listen to it you get that nostalgic 90's alternative feel

  • i like this. and im kind of sad that i heard paramores version first because i feel like if i heard thsi first id like it more. but i like paramores version better some reason

  • this song make me cry *-*

  • @hooraysweden dude, you totally should.

  • I actually own one of the original master copies of this video... if I had the equipment I'd digitize it so it wasn't so awful looking...

  • Comment removed

  • when a band does a cover of another song, it is NOT to be better, but to show respect to the band that orignally did the song. i mean why would a band do a cover of the song if they didn't like it? Paramore is a band of today, Failure is a band of yesterday, so paramores band will be a bit more modernized and that might be why some people like theirs better. Failure's is the original verson. they are both good, in my own opinion.

  • I like this a lot

but I like Paramore's version better..

  • who's paramore ?

  • I like Paramore better

  • For clarification: Paramore just covered this.

Unfortunately, they'll never learn fully from these space-rock masters.

  • it's not a "version", it's the original ffs.

    PARAMORE ?! FOR REAL DAWG?!?!

  • who the fucks paramore? FAILURE

  • Me gusta más la versión de Paramore, perdón.

  • rlyrlyrly sorry, Failure, but i like the Paramore one better. I still like this tho.

  • How can there even be a debate of cover vs. original. Playing a song as a band is one thing, but actually putting in the work to synthesize & breathe life into a vision takes more than a fwe power chords & some dudes from around the way with instruments.

  • @GLARANANG i have actually seen some bands that have complemented the original with their own style and they're both great.

  • @GLARANANG paramore DOES write and make their own songs. doesnt mean they cant cover a few! all the songs on paramores albums are written by them so whatever...i mean, if the lead singer in this song *cant even sing* then yknow what it's not a good song! the vocals sound like a part of the music, he sounds like hes choking on gravel. hayley can actually *sing*.

  • cool song, this is obviously the original, the one and only ¬¬

  • The fact that A Perfect Circle...and I didn't even know Paramore covered this song shows that Failure are an underrated band hat deserves much credit because of their great songwriting and catchy melodies. Fantastic Planet and Magnified should be renowned albums if you like great songs.

  • Failure's music has a way of speaking to the soul of a listener. The harmonies, arrangements, key changes, and everything else is perfect.

  • @ConvertsDrummer2

    Beautifully stated!

  • absolutely nothing to this video or any other. I think there should be an option to Like and to Not Like a comment. just a thought. Peace and love to all. more of a facebook thing

  • absolutely nothing to this video or any other. I think there should be an option to Like and to Not Like a comment. just a thought. Peace and love to all

  • Both songs are good, people know that these are the original creators of the song, but Paramore did a good version too. The song itself is amazing, no matter who sings it.

  • God, considering the tiny budget these guys probably had, this is SUCH a well done video! ..And song. A lot of heart. Failure ROCKS!

  • Personally, I love Paramore. I think they did a good job on this cover. But i do think the original is amazing. So we should all put our differences aside, cause its not helping anything or swaying people's opinions.

For your info, I'm 16. And I dont think the new is always better. Most of the time, I prefer the old. In this case, new is not better. But Paramore is still a great band and shouldnt be bashed because some die-hards dont like the fact that they did a good cover of a great song.

  • Paramore is way better these guys.

  • @MySexyemo These guys English better you!

  • @MySexyemo Typical youngster--think you invented everything you've ever "discovered"

  • @MySexyemo -.- ure gay

  • @MySexyemo -.- what??? pramore is shit

  • Cool song, but I personally prefer the paramore version

  • Dude, this is the original version >.>

  • Comment removed

  • if he would have made it louder, it would have sound so much better. thats why i like paramore's version better

  • Such a great song, brings back so many memories from being 16!!!

  • paramore version is great but theres could never beat this!!! :DDDD <333333 i LOVE the bass!!!

  • este es el original ,,pero la voz de hayley no la iguala

  • @edwinsinoh tas bn pendejo la voz de ken es mejor

  • jeepers people its music!!! listen or dont who gives a flying fuck?? it may be others opinions to like it or not!!!! u dont have to turn into a pmser nd be a bitch bout others opinions!!!

  • Not trying to bash failure but I think paramores version of this song is better.

  • PARAMORE IS GAYYYYYYYYYYY this song is the shit

  • @ScienceofShadows you're a homo hahahaha

  • finch cover > paramore

  • "This version"? lol the original? Covers are covers, whatever. I like Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah over the original, but at least he added a new verse and didn't copy and fuck up the musical arrangement. Paramore couldn't play the song the way it was done originally, that's why it sounds like a teenager in his basement on FruityLoops. xD APCs version of anwlm at least changed the musical arrangement, while still keeping true to some of the vocals. -shrug-

  • I actually cant believe kids are still pissing and moaning about Paramore's cover of this song. Build a bridge, get over it.

  • I think Paramore did this song justice, this version seems a bit weak and mellow.

  • i love failure, and nothing compares to their version. but you gotta admit Paramore has great taste in music. along w/ failure, they cover sunny day real estate.
