I wont jump to calling this a Bid'ah, but my question is why are they doing this? where did they get the idea from? how did they come to the conclusion that Muslims are supposed to do this sort of thing?

I read in what was narrated by Ibnu Hajjar al 'Asqalani in a strong chain that when the Ethiopians (Habash) came to visit the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him that they chanted and danced (Traditionaly) in the mosque will the prophet and his wife looked. They chanted in their language saying Muhammad is kind. Prophet Muhammad didn't object to them. And Allah knows best

Dhikr is a form of worship. So is salat. Yes, they are not literally praying, however they are still performing an act in which they believe will draw them closer to Allaah. This is a form of worship, and this form of worship has not been permitted by The Prophet, peace be upon him.
In fact, we are commanded not to imitate the Kuffaar, specifically the people of Jahilliyyah, which these people are doing in this video.
Furthermore, they are imitating the Kuffaar, and think that they are drawing themselves closer to Allaah in the process.

my brother, some of the ulama dislike this kind of dhikr, while others permit. if you adhere to the former, i respect your position. this is neither a fard nor a prescribed sunnah. for example shaykh ramadan al-buti is pro-sufi but he dislikes the hadra of the sufis. that's ok.
my point in all this is that, where there is ikhtilaf on a matter, we don't attack other muslims.

What can be wrong in meeting to engage in the glorification of Allah(s.w.t)? Sufis converted literally millions of Indians by adapting Indian cultural norms to Islam eg Qawwals. What do the Hadith say about Dhiker in gatherings?
Hadith Qudsi: "Those that remember Me in their heart, I remember them in My heart; and those that remember Me in a gathering, I remember them (i.e. make mention of them) in a gathering better than theirs. (This can include recitation of Quran, Durood (Salat-o-Salaam) and other Dhiker Allah)
In Bukhari and Muslim: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that Allah has angels roaming the roads to find the people of dhikr, i.e. those who say La ltaha ltiabah and similar expressions, and when they find a group of people (Qaom) reciting dhikr, they call each other and encompass them in layers until the first heaven -- the location of which is in Allah's knowledge. (This is to say, an unlimited number of angels are going to be over that group
Ibn 'Umar reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked: "What are the gardens of Paradise, 0 Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "The circles of dhikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of dhikr, and when they rind them they surround them closely." Tirmidhi narrated it (Hasan Gharib) and Ahmad.
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When any group of men remember Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him." Narrated by Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ahmad, lbn Majah, and Bayhaqi.
"Those who believe, and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah! Aye! It is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts can find comfort;" (13: 28)

I read in what was narrated by Ibnu Hajjar al 'Asqalani in a strong chain that when the Ethiopians (Habash) came to visit the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him that they chanted and danced (Traditionaly) in the mosque will the prophet and his wife looked. They chanted in their language saying Muhammad is kind. Prophet Muhammad didn't object to them. And Allah knows best

Dhikr is a form of worship. So is salat. Yes, they are not literally praying, however they are still performing an act in which they believe will draw them closer to Allaah. This is a form of worship, and this form of worship has not been permitted by The Prophet, peace be upon him.
In fact, we are commanded not to imitate the Kuffaar, specifically the people of Jahilliyyah, which these people are doing in this video.

my brother, some of the ulama dislike this kind of dhikr, while others permit. if you adhere to the former, i respect your position. this is neither a fard nor a prescribed sunnah. for example shaykh ramadan al-buti is pro-sufi but he dislikes the hadra of the sufis. that's ok.
my point in all this is that, where there is ikhtilaf on a matter, we don't attack other muslims.
islam is simple but never simplistic.

it is not incumbent upon any muslim to fear the Hell fire, merely to believe that it exists and the reason for its existance is fard upon a muslim. you want to debate the subject of sufi dhikr then i suggest you go and research the origins of Islam/Noble Quran. Allah states that he who remembers me will be remembered in a greater and nobler gathering (i.e in the heavens), Allah clearly states in the Noble Quran "remember me standing, sitting, and lying on your side", what does he mean by this?

What can be wrong in meeting to engage in the glorification of Allah(s.w.t)? Sufis converted literally millions of Indians by adapting Indian cultural norms to Islam eg Qawwals. Islam never came to destroy other cultures, it came to nurture what is good about them. We want a single monolithic Islamic culture as much as we want globalisation.

He's making a false allegation and makes me wonder is he a real MUSLIM or an ENEMY of ISLAM who forever trying to disrupt peace and loving community.

Qur'an [008:035] Their Salat (prayer) at the House (of Allah, i.e. the Kabah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands. Therefore taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.

What do the Hadith say about Dhiker in gatherings?
Hadith Qudsi: "Those that remember Me in their heart, I remember them in My heart; and those that remember Me in a gathering, I remember them (i.e. make mention of them) in a gathering better than theirs. (This can include recitation of Quran, Durood (Salat-o-Salaam) and other Dhiker Allah)

Ibn 'Umar reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked: "What are the gardens of Paradise, 0 Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "The circles of dhikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of dhikr, and when they rind them they surround them closely." Tirmidhi narrated it (Hasan Gharib) and Ahmad.

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When any group of men remember Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him." I've already find verses on KORAN and HADITHS about gathering of dzikir. U still haven't interpret and proof what kind of innovation PROPHET SAW was talking about. Instead of calling this bid'ah and that is bid'ah, u should rather pay more attention to Haram and major sins! Must i educate u about this thing? And yet u still have the cheeks to call urself a SALAFI?! What an embarrassments!
