  • I wonder which god Mr. Beck speaks of? Because last time I heard the majority of Christians don't consider his Mormon church, god and religion Christian at all. Not to mention the fact that no god or gods in any religion can prove there's is truer than the next so there is no point on having it in government. I guess Napoleon said it better but should have but in slow instead of common

"Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet" -Napoleon Bonaparte

  • I blame America's problems on the declining population of pirates. FSM bless you.

  • God is out of america? Good, let's keep it that way.

  • @Kwydjybo yeah lets have a day with out god and the hole god bless america thing

  • @4:32 he got confused about the lyrics. Its "as He died to make men holy, let us *live* to make men free."

  • While I understand his point in having children proselytize political slogans... he is no better. Glenn Beck is a hack charlatan.

  • To Glenn Beck's question of why America became powerful and succesful: because America tolerated opposite points of view without burning people at the stake or torturing to death. Now I ask why do empires fall? Because religious zealotry and intolerance prevailed that obstructed science ingenuity and diversity. God is great as long as we keep em in check, just like we keep government in check.... no free pass for anyone.... prove what you say with actions not rhetoric.

  • beck has no understanding of atheism whatsoever.

  • @jcfan42

    ADDENDUM:

I'm not talking about Oaks discouraging dialog with the U.S. President: I am talking about Oaks telling all the good little Mormn doggies to never critique HIM, himself!

After all, Oaks IS one of "The Brethren". So he was talking about himself, in the process!

Don't you dare question ME Oaks! Well, alrighty, then! Heil, Oaks! Heil, Hitler! And, Heil, Beckerhead!

  • Oops is Glenn mad because something has usurped him as God? Who believes this nut and how does he even dare speak anything about a higher power?

  • @FlipoutJo

Glenn Beck's "Higher Power" used to be that little brown jug.

NOW it's a thing called "Mormon Culture" (the very words used by that Dallin H. Oaks, when he was Mission President to the Far East: and he was there to give those people "Mormon Culture" (which is a code phrase, just like Hinckley's code phrase "Core Membership").

The code words are usually superceded by a Judas-like "wink", (instead of a kiss): after all, The Brethren can't kiss 12 million people, @ gen'l conf, on TV

  • @orlovna2: Even worse! He is a New Age hack here to deceive! /watch?v=YD6DJpJwpB0

  • @jcfan42 You can't be forced to believe, but you can be forced to follow. You can be forced to convert to a religion in which you do not believe. You can also be forced to teach your children to believe. And through indoctrination and brainwashing, you can be forced to believe. Sources: North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan during the Taliban's rule, USSR, China, Europe in the Middle Ages.

  • @Insanekid95

And, don't forget Rev. Moon (of the "Moonies"); Jim Jones and Guyana; and, David Koresh.

ALL of their followers were quietly and ever-so-efficiently and effectively indoctrinated, too.

SPOKEN QUIETLY: "Don't criticize me, Dallin H. Oaks: even if (or when) I am wrong!" :)

Now, bow your head and say "yes".

    That will do!

  • @jcfan42 Yes, there was resentment of strong federal government at the time, and the country was religious as a whole at the time, but the constitution does not define any religion as official.

  • @Insanekid95 "...but the constitution does not define any religion as official." Of course not, and in fact, it says none can be, and for good reason. This was not by accident. As I said, "this country was founded so that Christians (and others) could worship and live free." A Christian country would not have an "official" religion. This was a Christian country at the time of its founding; the point of this video is, now that it is not any more, the country is failing.

  • @jcfan42 Um, I'm pretty sure that if it were a "Christian country," we'd have Christianity as our official state religion. That's how it works. We can be a predominantly Christian country, meaning that the majority of Americans are Christian, which we were at the time of our founding, and still are, to a lesser extent, but we're not simply a "Christian country." And if we weren't a predominantly Christian country, we'd by no means be worse off.

  • @Insanekid95 "Um, I'm pretty sure that if it were a "Christian country," we'd have Christianity as our official state religion. That's how it works." I have a simple question, nothing "meant" by it: if I put a gun to your head, would you believe? Of course not. Government = Force

You cannot be forced to believe.

  • @jcfan42

Thank God you mor(m)on fruitcakes can't force people, either!

WAIT! The Mormon Hierarchy STILL controls the mormon people. How so?

ANSWER: "Don't criticize The Brethren (aka, me Dallin), even...IF...they are wrong." ---Dallin Oaks

In a free land, it is a right of free people to take issue with the U.S. President: even Obama said, "I am your...servant": not the other way around.

Oaks would have all Mormons doubting themselves and not critique, at all.

    Good little Morm doggies!

  • omg this guy is fucking nuts

  • Part of the reason why we were such a paramount country when it was first created was because we were secular at a time when no other country in the world was.

  • @Insanekid95 This country was founded so that Christians (and others) could worship and live free. Plymouth Colony, one of the first permanent colonial settlements in America, was founded expressly for this purpose. Eventually, as a result of the nearby Massachusetts Bay Colony's policies, which ironically bore resemblance to those of England, Rhode Island was founded by Baptists, who gave their new home actual religious freedom - its neighbors decried it as "Rogue's Island".

  • By the way, the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Colony four days before Christmas. Is that just a coincidence? Maybe. Then again, it seems a bit close to be coincidence.

  • @jcfan42 Yes, perhaps those colonies were founded for freedom of religion, but the actual nation of the United States of America was not founded on any religious values.

  • @Insanekid95 While America was not meant to be a theocracy, there was still a strong cultural conservative current running through our country at the time of its founding, meaning that self-government was a primary principle, that the government would handle a few things like courts and the law, while the people would have to run their own lives properly.

  • "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." -John Adams

  • @dbzman1985 Congratulations, you have been blocked.

  • @dbzman1985 "...you cant use religion to ban our privet rights..." I never said I would; there is a difference between "positive liberty" (what the government can do for you) and "negative liberty" (what the government cannot do to you). The problem is, you are trying to force your belief system on other people, violating my liberty to believe what I think is right.

  • The problem with public education is, as a "positive liberty", as people who disagree we both want to see education mirror our own beliefs, thus at the very least there would have to be some sort of compromise. By the way, if your comments are any indication, you should try learning how to spell.

  • @dbzman1985 Can I make a suggestion? How about we eliminate public education since we cannot all agree on certain key issues. I am not going to ban your textbooks - but I should not be forced to use them, either.

  • @Ranndommzz3495 I cannot imagine English television is any better than this, especially with the BBC (government-run news is never a good idea, remember the Soviets?) being so dominant and its competitor Sky News being aligned with Fox News. At least Glenn Beck gives us some of the truth.

  • does this realy count as news, sounds like preaching, also putting faith in goverment isn't good, but neither is putting it in God/god/gods, how long does it take for us to learn that people are the ones who change our lives, the ones who protect us, who stand beside us, all you have to do is take a look at history for a sec, god/prayer never brought us any rights at all, people standing up against opression did

  • @uchihashikon I don't think he claims to be news, he is really more of a commentator - his radio show is even self-described as "the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment". By the way, have you noticed how Biblical end-time predictions seem to be coming around? Check it out.

  • @jcfan42 i thought it was mayan(sp), or is this some other end than the one in 2012

  • @uchihashikon Actually, now that you mention it, the Mayans did have a calender - and it appears that it stops counting for some reason in 2012 - but it seems unclear what that means. That is something else, but it is strange how one says 2012 while another says certain things will happen first, for example, the creation of modern Israel, accompanied by dictatorial world government and the end of the world as we know it within one generation (approximately now, or a few years from now).

  • @jcfan42 my gues to why the mayan calender stops is the following, they made it that far and thought that would be enough for the moment or in their counting system it was 2012 already back around that time or something as dull as those two. Dictatorial world goverment...it seems unlikely that one world goverment could actually be born, people are just too national and bigoted to get to that, one could take over by force by that never went so well sice few people have tried already and failed...

  • funny, i was just in an argument the other day with a person callin me a hypocrite because i claim to be a Christian and say that socialism is bad. this is exactly wt i told Him. historically, the poor, the disable, the old, the young, they were taken care of by the Church. it wasn't always perfect. thats on account of humans running the orphanages tho, not God. recently, socialism has taken over in many countries especially Europe, and look wt happened there! God has nearly disapeared.

  • This guy is such a joke. It says "endowed by their creator.". It did not say God.

  • @Insanekid95 So, who do you think our creator is?

  • @jcfan42 Nature in general.

  • @Insanekid95 Okay, well, I suppose there are many interpretations - however, most founders were either deist or (at least claimed) Christians.

  • @jcfan42 that information is unknown and there are many theories.

  • @rayyf69 There are certainly many different religions and such, but I would venture a guess that the author of the Declaration of Independence was referring to a particular set of ideas.

  • I have been reading a bunch of comments talking about how it is terrible that children in America are being taught that evolution is a fact while in the same breath criticizing the fact that god is being systematically removed from public schools around the country. Firstly, evolution is an absolute fact; the evidence is overwhelming. Secondly, it's ironic to say otherwise and then go on to talk so highly about god, something which is kept alive by "faith", not fact.

  • @MrTheBrent It appeared your comment was going somewhere interesting until it veered off the tracks; you can believe that if you want to, but here is the point I thought you were going to make: perhaps it is wrong to force your beliefs on someone else. Then, I say in response, why have public education when we cannot all agree?

  • @jcfan42 I would agree 100 percent that it is wrong to force your beliefs on other people. What I would say in response to the issue of public education is that it is designed to (in theory) rid itself of all belief based subjects and issues to allow children to make up their own minds based on fact and that alone. My issue with what Glenn Beck was saying in the video was that there is a void that needs to be filled by god, rather than compassion and acceptance of one another.

  • @MrTheBrent I have heard a lot of people say that education should be teaching people how to think rather than what to think, or provoking one to thought and learning. Living in a free society means we can disagree and still be neighbors.

  • Well I was not aware of my gaping hole until Glenn opened his gaping hole. I guess now I have to chose: Jaweh, The US Government, or big screen TV. Shoot, if I run for Governor of Texas I can have all three and not feel guilty like Rick Perry. Glenn already has Jesus and Stuff, so he should serve some political post and complete the Holy Trinity!

  • bwawhahhahahahahahhaha, glenn beck, comedian of the year, should get his own show on comedy central, considering a news channel is wrong audience for him. O WAIT, it's faux news.

  • he is a fucking morron

  • If I heard my kid singing those songs in honor of Barry Soetoro I would be beside myself.... first puke, then have a little talk with the teacher that taught those kids that song. Indoctrinating children? Shame on you. Guess that doesn't surprise me coming from a public school system. I don't want my taxes paying for such nonsense like this.

  • @pikehunter23750 If I had children I would really have to question whether I want them going to a public school in this environment, sadly I have higher standards than many of these places, with the results they turn out, now the stuff shown here, why would I want that? According to Wikipedia, one college professor even claims that "... the more money that a state spends on higher education, the slower the economy grows, the opposite of long held notions."

  • @jcfan42 You know, what's even scarier than all this Barry nonsense, is the fact that schools have systematically taken God out of everything, as these song prove. Teaching young kids at an early age that the world is billions of years old, that their religion of Evolution is their Gospel and their truth...it's truly sad. Shame on you people for lying to children! Now the Darwinian followers are going to ridicule me for saying all this. Bring it on! I welcome it.

  • @pikehunter23750 It is strange how they give you one side but not the other, maybe they could mention evolution, but also point out criticisms. They basically tell kids what to think sometimes, instead of teaching them how to think. Of course kids are less likely to accept God as true when they have been told by teachers (whom they are with more than parents on weekdays) that Evolution is true, unless they can accept both somehow.

  • I'd love to see where he gets his facts. Any citations, Glenn? Thought not.

  • @1xrosexredx1

    From God, OBVIOUSLY! lmfao

  • How can an actual institution like government fit in the same space as your imaginary friend? The mechanic of such a proposition is beyond physics.

  • @spinycrayfish So very, very true.

  • fuck me this guy is deluded. Go ahead. wait for some mythical being to save your country. pray for prosperity. in the mean time lets hope doesnt feel unnappreciated and keeps doing its job

  • All the atheists I know do not bow to, or put all of their faith in anybody. Whether it is god, government, celebrities, etc. The only people who do that are the religious and that is why Beck and his ilk just have no idea what it is to be non-religious.

Plus, being so wrong about the nature of the godless, it only shows Beck's true nature, that he would not be able to control himself morally if he didn't have that invisible policeman up above constantly reminding him what is right.

  • Too many Christians, not enough lions.

  • @wharfrat78 Why does the left claim to be tolerant when they are so clearly full of hate? This is hypocrisy.

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."

    John 15:18

  • @jcfan42 I am actually a Libertarian (same as Glenn Beck). The "Too many Christians, not enough lions." remark I saw on a T-shirt. I don't consider it any worse than some of the versus that can be found in the bible (regarding killing and stuff).

  • @wharfrat78 I would have expected more from a libertarian, apparently you are one of the fakes like Bill Maher. Does religious freedom mean nothing to you? That was the original purpose of coming here to America.

  • @jcfan42 Ya know, I keep looking for something good coming from people like you and this Glenn Beck dude. It's true, you all have taught me that you guys are really as stupid as you sound. Perhaps the left would be more tolerant of you righties if you weren't so judgmental and self righteous. That whole I must be doing something right because Jesus said they would hate me is not good enough. Mormons use that one a lot.

  • @nalani005 "Perhaps the left would be more tolerant of you righties if you weren't so judgmental and self righteous." Actually this is pretty judgmental. "That whole I must be doing something right because Jesus said they would hate me is not good enough." It has never been right to think that you are doing the right thing because people hate you, you should do the right thing because it is right, the hate is an unfortunate byproduct which is obvious by your comment.

  • @jcfan42

What makes you think atheists are limited to the left? See, you just revealed your own indoctrination, and your own brainwashing. You've been convinced the right is Christian, and the left is anti-Christian. You're wrong.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY with any respect for the constitution would ever try and take away your right to play make believe, er I'm sorry, practice religion. By definition, religious people are irrational, and we non-believers do tolerate a lot of your nonsense

  • @LoryLandskipper "What makes you think atheists are limited to the left?" Actually, I never said that. See, you just revealed your own indoctrination, and your own brainwashing. You've been convinced the left is tolerant, and the right is bigoted. You're wrong, that is quite the opposite now.

"By definition, religious people are irrational..."

With the militant atheist screaming in our faces, who would ever notice the polite atheist? There has been no worse spokesperson for atheism.

  • Government is taking the place of an invisible man that doesn't do anything. I guess. Next time you want a ham sandwich pray for one and see what happens.

  • What did you do that was different than other countries Glen? Well out of a sheer lack of vacancy your country was situated out of the way of three centuries worth of murderous armies and falling bombs while the others killed each other off.

So this guy is now a mormon preacher and certified nut bar and you guys still watch him? Please tell me it's only for entertainment purposes as our country is situated next to yours!!

  • He is soooo right, we need to put God back into our lives.

  • @freedom44ify For most of us God never left our lives. You must be a republcian. Speak for yourself or STFU. Stop telling other people what to do just because you have so much well deserved guilt on your platter. You people are pathetic.

  • @callouschristian Why do you feel so offended by what I wrote, look at society and tell me if we have lost God. I am not a republican, I am a Christian.

  • Man, this guy is better than Colbert. He's fucking hilarious.

  • @mrmootheirrev The problem is - He's NOT JOKING!

  • @mrmootheirrev The problem is - He's NOT JOKING!

Eternal Justice IS a form of Social Justice.

  • @PimPeccable

Hard to tell, the stuff he says is funny, all those nonsense words.

I like his big fat man act, though he needs is a top hat and a moustache that spins, then be a shoe-in to get to the semis on one of those "X has talent shows." All he'd need to do is fall over a few times.

  • Also, kids singing songs about Presidents is nothing new, it's been going on forever, and it doesn't matter. I myself sang a song involving Bush in elementary school to the tune of some song (can't remember what it was).

  • I myself am a nonbeliever, we don't need to 'fill the void' at all, and certainly not with politics or 'stuff'. This guy is so full of ridiculous, baseless generalizations and bullshit, i can't believe anyone cares about his show. And the Declaration Of Independence does NOT have ANYTHING to do with our government at all, it has nothing to do with anything. Our founding fathers were secularists, and the Constitution is secular. Glenn Beck's moronic rants aren't going to change reality.

  • why can't beck admit that he's racist. and about that gapping hole maybe he should go to church and stay late with his priest.

  • @godsgeew Racism has nothing to do with this; if you want to hurl ad hominem attacks, the least you could do is make them relevant to the topic at hand. Also, why are you suggesting he begin having relations with his priest? Would you have an interest in seeing that happen?

  • @jcfan42 my comment wasn't directed at this single video. glenn beck as a person. and him and his priest situation. it would be very interesting to see him reunite with his past lover. but of course with your head deep inside his ass you might not get to see it. glenn beck is piece of shit and all of his followers are to. (aka religious nut bags)

  • @godsgeew Well, with this "priest situation" you refer to, what is that? I have not heard of said occurrence; perhaps you could direct me to proof? Otherwise it sounds like you are making things up to attack people you disagree with. While I realize Glenn Beck is a media clown, the point he is making here happens to be right. I do not have my head anywhere you would like to picture it, and I do not believe everything he says; in fact, he probably has a hidden agenda.

  • In fact, he once wrote an article (within the past year) about needing to do something about global warming, even though he is most known for being a global warming skeptic, then he tried to blow it off or deny it. He also says occasional outrageous or dishonest things, and his story about how he got his job back reads like somebody trying to make the system happy; apparently he is taking orders from his bosses at Fox on what to say on air. He only got his job back after turning Mormon.

  • I believe Joseph Smith took much from freemasonry into Mormonism; in fact, he was both. So it would be little stretch to say the two are seemingly still connected somehow. The information is out there, but for some reason, people do not look for it. The whole situation makes Beck suspect. It seems our media is controlled by people with interests far different than ours; they may be right sometimes, but they need to be in order to seem credible.

  • @jcfan42 He's not right, though. Where are people being told they can't sing "Silent Night" or being told they can't pray in schools? As individuals, we are damn well allowed to pray silently to God no matter where we are.

  • This guy is sooooo FAKE!

His sponsor Goldline only rips his listeners off for 80%. Duhh???

    LOL!!!!

  • Glen Beck, describes himself as a "rodeo Clown" yet some many naive people take his populist ranting as truth....its a very sad state of affairs. He is a sophist and a critique...anyone and everyone has an opinion...Beck is laughing all the way to the Bank.

  • Ah, don't you just love how fundamentalists go crazy over what the Declaration of Independence says "All men are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights." They think that proves that our rights come from god. Think about it, a document WRITTEN BY A HUMAN proves that our rights come from god? Hmmm, am I the only one who sees something wrong with that logic?

  • bla bla bla..........

  • Actually, I think Glenn Beck is commonly known for, and freely admits to, offering his opinions, whereas a news reporter is not supposed to be so biased, in general. He is more of an audio-visual editorial section.

  • Stuff/things - Of course, no religious person cares about this.

Power - Organized religion has consistnatly been some of the most powerful groups in human history.

Carreers - Again, I'm sure religious people, like Beck, don't care about this.

Celebrities - How many nonreligious celebrities are there?

Money - How much money do you have, Glenn?

Politics/Government - There are NO nonreligious representatives in the U.S. Senate/Congress. Hmm.

    Fucking Hypocrite.

  • @kict951 It is reasonable to have healthy levels of concern about material possessions and careers - it is a matter of priorities and not caring "too much." You must have some things in order to live; there is excess, however. As for power, yes, religious organizations are often powerful - and some of them are quite dangerous! Not all are alike...

Celebrities are mostly known for "Hollywood values."

  • In regards to elected officials, most do claim religion - I am not sure why this is, perhaps it is majority rule; the Constitution provides there ought not be religious tests for politicians; so long as the religious or irreligious are not harming anyone else, they should be allowed in. There does seem to be some exclusion going on from both sides, and this is unfortunate. A pastor might not force the irreligious in, and an atheist might not force others out, of religion.

  • So... we can blame all our problems on the removal of religious references.

And people listen to this man. -_-

  • What is wrong with no religion!?!?!

    I am a moral person,

    friendly to strangers,

    kind to all,

and I have no religion (And don't want any either!)

Freedom of religion is also freedom FROM religion,

  • I'm so glad that in Canada, fools like this are too marginal to get serious attention.

  • Most popular news on television...I'd rather people watch Survivor than this...some truly dumb stuff said here

  • amen Glenn is so right.God is our only hope

  • What a dangerous fool. Signed a European.

  • Glenn Beck might be the world's greatest dipshit.

  • Satire - the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.

He uses Satire to get his point across, that both Republicans and Democrats are being complete idiots, Using history and common sense to show us the irony of what is going on now compared to what history tells us about our country. Stephen Colbert is a liberal, Glenn Beck is a Libertarian, the two are very similar actually, liberal Socialism is very much the same way.

  • @Mathadar Actually, libertarianism is as dissimilar with modern "liberalism" as it is with conservatism, if not more. It is a matter of perspective. Most politics run on "left-right" debates that run roughly between "change" and "stability" - libertarianism is much more associated with the Republican Party because libertarianism is what we used to have in this country (though this is an oversimplification).

  • Basically, libertarianism is a political system, or a set of policies, like marxism or fascism, while the left-right paradigm of mainstream politics may uphold one set of policies today, they may change tomorrow in the blowing political winds of the times. Compare the left and right of Russia and France: the French right is still more capitalist, but in Russia, the right is Communist.

  • Right is a mere opposition to drastic change, little more, and the left supporting change. Otherwise, such differing sets of policies as capitalism, fascism, and communism could not all be called "right" - these are the policies which people in general have no real attachment to beyond the fact that they may or may not be in place now. This is part of why third parties are so small - the Republicans want to reform the government "as is" and the Democrats want to grow it.

  • There are very few people with an attachment to a set of political policies; thus, thankfully, there are far fewer monarchists today outside of monarchist societies, and after the Nazis were humiliated in World War II, they became much less popular. The American political paradigm has changed in some ways less than visible on the surface because of this; rural people are still on the right, and urban people are still on the left; in fact, this is the same as Russia.

  • Glenn Beck beats any other Satirist out there, even Stephen Colbert.

  • Satirist? So he's actually a liberal?

  • Hey kids! Grab some popcorn and get yourself a comfortable spot on that couch, because it is about to happen! This nutcase' head is about to explode right there on live TV. Any day now...

  • I think Glen Beck might be the worlds greatest satirist.

  • It looks that way, but I think he is just another wing-nut fuck-wit.

  • Its not because we recognized God's authority you revisionist prick, its because the very Constitution you reference states that "All Men are created equal", and that everyone is to have equal protection under the law. Not Gods law, for if you are luke warm I shall spat you out and yet we don't stone people to death for working on Sunday. Our laws are not the Christian Gods laws. They are better because they can be changed to grow with society.

  • I do not know why we cannot have the values without the nonsense. In a world without religion, good people do good things and bad people do bad things. For good people to do bad things, that takes religion. Religion cannot be validated! People MUST have the courage, integrity and honesty to admit when they dont have the answer. People must take responsibility, say what they mean and mean what they say. How about freedom, hard work, honesty, duty but without all the clap-trap.

  • Everybody does bad things; it seems you are implying that you are perfect - I hardly believe that to be possible. Many Marxist dictators have done horrible things while enforcing atheism. There are terrible people and relatively good people with all sorts of beliefs.

  • I am most certainly not perfect but I do not elevate my causes above my humanity. (Like muslims did on Sept 11th or the Catholic church seems to have been doing) I do not want anybody dying for my sin. I validate what I believe and take responsibility. I do not defer responsibility to some conceptual entity the existence of which we cannot prove. I do not stand in a pulpit taking good Americans money while making promises I cannot keep and then claim tax exemption. It's time America grew up!

  • @jcfan42 you didn't get, but, you are right. People do do things, horrible things in the name or under the misguidance of many things. But what is one thing to which most people limit their rational thinking, their commonsense, and their desire for "the" truth? That would be religion. We may be able to fix what ever problems may arise if we only fail to limit ourselves to dealing with them as we do with religion.

  • I am neither democrat nor republican, but what I find strange about Glenn Beck and the Republican party is on the one hand they oppose a "nanny state". Well so do I. But then they defer all ultimate responsibility to a conceptual entity the existence of which we cannot validate. Glenn is always saying god this, and god that. Who's god? Which god? Thor? Zeus? Allah? The Mormon underwear god? We DON'T know. Those who claim to, cannot prove it. I have trouble with that. Shes cute in boots though.

  • Separation of church and state, period.

  • Whoever said that was not the case? Every time someone mentions religion, certain atheists start screaming their faces off...

  • @hodawgs1977

The term "Separation of Church and State" was taken from the Soviet Union. It was planted in the USA through a lawsuit brought about by the ACLU in the 50's.

It appears NOWHERE in our constitution or Bill of Rights .

  • @carolsboy The term Separation of Church and State was in actuality taken from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson (a founding father, no less) to the Danbury Baptists. This was written in 1802. You are correct that there is no reference to separation of church and state in original legislature, but to say that it was "planted" in the 50's by the ACLU and was taken from the USSR is misinformation.

  • @redsawdom Yes, Thomas Jefferson used the phrase "wall of separation" in that letter, but the Former Soviet Union's constitution in article 142 uses the phase the church is separated from the state. The ACLU fought the congress in the mid 1950's over the changing of the national motto to one nation under God, claiming it violated the separation of church and state, which was not in our constitution.

  • Today, everyone talks about this separation of church and state in our country as if it was the law of the land when only the first amendment to the constitution (establishment clause) was actually the law of the land.

  • @carolsboy

You really have a lot of nerve, claiming that secularists are the ones changing things around, while at the same time, you proudly admit that it was you religionists who changed our national motto from "E Pluribus Unum" (proposed in 1776 by Benjamin Franklin) to "In God We Trust".

  • Cannot attend your daughter's wedding in the LDS temple unless you, too, have been mormonized & baptized into the Monson movement of Moroni.

And what of polygamy & polyandry & racism, in recent history & present day canon of scripture, which were neither revelation nor repentance, but were outward conformity to society's demands for standards of decency, & have yet to be renounced by the LDS hierarchy?

  • If you are asking me to defend Mormonism, I am unable to do so, because I am not a Mormon.

  • Right on.

  • 9 11. was a inside job

  • What does that have to do with this...?

  • ANTICHRIST AMERICA!!!

  • More proof that Bleck has no clue a little research will tell you that first in god we trust on money was frist placed on the dollar bill in 1957 next all the founding fathers were deists and did not believe in religion. Bleck is lying to you wake up!

  • Yes, the founding fathers were largely deist, however, the populace was largely Christian.

  • The cut out when Charlie Reingold said God Bless You.......

    SPIN

  • Glen Beck......Please... SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • What a load of crap!

    Zombies...wake up!

Religions all of them are the source of all evils in this world!

They want you to be always fearful. F/U we won't do what you say!. Think!

  • Many atheists, et cætera, seem intent on revoking the rights of the religious as well...

  • Of course they are. They get butthurt when people celebrate God because they can't stand something they don't believe in being celebrated.

They're dumb asses. America will not fall to the likes of them, they are not adequate enough to be put in charge.

That would be a disaster. No religious rights ever. Lol silly atheists.

  • Glenn, the fast growing group are not Atheists but Agnostics...

Glenn, the Romans were a bunch of pervs, sex acids, pagans, and what not, and yet they had arguably the most powerful Human Empire in our history.

There is only one thing that is I agree with Glenn, Only one thing that I can fine. Yes Obama is WAYYYY overrated! And that is a little scary if we start praising a man especially when he has not done crap yet. He is not a king...

  • This is not about power, but rather freedom.

  • Also, yeah, once again, Glenn Beck shows just how fucking moronic he is.

  • Yes, you're god isn't "trusted" anymore because he doesn't fucking exist.

  • Aw, look at the butthurt atheist. Shut up, over 50% of the world believes in God. Only 2.3% of this world are atheists.

Glenn Beck actually made sense in this video. But of course you wouldn't see that, you just hate religious rights.

Because man, you believe God doesn't exist, now everyone's gotta believe that!

    Fucking dumb ass.

  • Uh, yeah, anything and everything you just said in these comments was just killed off. Know why? Because you have your numbers wrong. Currently, the number of atheists in this world is ROUGHLY 20%. Near one in five. I don't hate religious rights, I hate that christians(and other religious people) can't go two seconds without saying something is the world of some dumbass being in the sky or ground. Face it. Whether you like it or not, people are looking past the lies that hold us down.

  • Uh, no, it's a fact that's posted on polls world wide and on wikipedia to further corroborate on it.

Lies? Yeah, keep dreaming buddy. Just because you're butthurt that most people believe in God doesn't mean shit.

You don't believe in God, cool, don't announce it like anyone is gonna care. All you atheists ever bitch about is religion.

It's tiring. You dumb asses need to grow up. I don't believe in God bibby boo blah, this is why the government offices are not allowing Atheists.

    Stupidity.

  • @Shinkukage09 & vegetaboi4evr

Shinku's stats are right, under "Religions Demographics" wikipedia lists 1.1 billion, so about 20%.

Regardless, the argument that atheism leads to moral & social decay is groundless. For example, Norway has a huge atheist/agnostic population, some estimates put it as high as 70% (more likely not that high), yet it is #1 on the Human Development Index, while the US is #13. Blaming this country's problems on atheism is totally absurd.

  • That probably includes agnostics along with it. But I'm not blaming everything on atheism, I'm blaming it on morons.

Christians like pat robertson, atheist nucases like richard dawkins who blames everything on religion, all that crap.

It's just a lot of atheists are trying stupid shit such as getting religion out of everything which won't happen.

That's what's annoying. their futile efforts in something that's not wrong.

  • @vegetaboi

You make a good point about it being a two way street, I'll go along with that. I think some of my fellow atheists are doing a disservice to others by unnecessarily arching their backs at every instance of "god" in the public sector.

But w/ reference to the case of that mayor in NC, it is both biggoted and unconstitutional to bar him from holding office. That's the other side of it: we should be tolerant of each other's beliefs instead of labeling the other side as stupid or amoral.

  • Exactly right. You and I agree. You are someone I could get along with, because I don't care if someone doesn't believe in God, as long as a line isn't crossed.

Everyone has the right to their own beliefs, so it would be unfair to force something on someone.

Which is what people like Pat Robertson, Richard Dawkins, and people who follow them do.

Glad to know you're a reasonable person.

  • Its not particular a negative thing.. a negative is ANTI-Theist.. if you can prove to me there is a god then i would believe but you CANT so why should we take this horsebollox... a high percentage of people belive the earth was made 6thousand years ago that is wrong- FACT.

  • Ok, you got me with the anti-theist part. You're right about that. Fine, anti-theists are butthurt dumbasses.

But I'm not gonna force God on anyone, that's not my goal. My goal is to just prove that nothing is absolute including evolution.

And there's so many controversies about how old this earth really is I don't want any part of that.

  • Meh fair enough..

  • Thanks Mr Beck. Keep it up.

  • Good thing the ratings are disabled. This video might actually get a star.

  • There is nothing more biblical than the government taking the place of god. 666

  • i fill my void with my god the giant spaghetti monster in the sky.... oh look, can u see him? no? well i believe he exists and i KNOW that he will save me and give me eternal peace beyond life (sarcasm)...

  • Oh crap here comes the Morman crap do you really beleive this crap

  • If Glenn Becks' god is God, then I want to go straight to hell.

  • Glenn may be a funny ( which I agree ) but he is correct .... We turned away from Yahwah ( Known as "God" ( A title for greek dieties ) to the world ) and he turned away from us.

Not to mention though, that it is "us" the people that are in error .... but most are to full of pride to accept that and thus put down and make fun of those who are willing to stand in the truth. The fake money ( FRN's ), the Federal Union ( seperate from the USA .. all if it is our own fault .. our error

  • be a funny = be a phony

Federal Union = Federal Reserve Union

Most people have no clue that they are captive .. slaves that are given "privlages" in place of rights which can only be had if there is a "creator" over man.

Today you have to ASK to drive ( drivers license ) ask to get married, ask to fix your house .... you have to ASK ... you do not know what it MEANS to be free because you were born in captivity ... the Federal Reserve owns everything .. including you unless you wake up.

  • Glenn does not understand the truth fully, but at least he is "trying" to wake people .. to get them back to the way people are .... to ASK QUESTIONS ... look at a child all they do is ask questions .. but the public fool (school ) system at some point programs you to stop asking questions and just go with what they "say" ... everything you believe is all based on "hearsay" ... not facts.

Go to the Federal Reserve Site ... they tell you that they are independent of the US

  • Why?

  • so its wrong when obama tries to change america after george w. bush wrecks it but its right when mr. bush claims the lord stands behind him...oh i see glenn beck ty for enlightening me, i'll remember that the next people are being burned on stakes again because politics and religion are mixed what a smart man glenn beck is HEAVY SARCASM

  • I must say that YOUTUBE is 100% proof of the failure called public education.

You can not discern truth. But you can sure tell everyone the latest about Britney Spears,Lady Gaga and the NFL.
