I would definitely recommend these wheels. My brother carves quite a bit at times with these wheels and has not had a problem sliding yet. When I rode the board, I found that the wheels do give the board somewhat of a slick feel. This slickness however is nothing that would prevent the rider from carving.

Wheels are Lime Retro Big Zigs. The wheels are 75mm and 81A duration.
Light black springs. It's my brother in the video. He said the wheels slide like this the first day.
