A-Men, Cyborg! I've not done vids in a while because my mainstay for this channel was weightloss... hence "weightlosstrav"... but maybe I should post videos... just for me? Not JUST weightloss.... but more of like a video journal in general? Hmmmm... maybe. We'll see.
Thank you for your videos. I don't have a problem with my weight but I have used your videos for life. I have found that it has given me a light that I needed. I was a monk for many years and life has changed so much and I came across this clear idea of reaching goals. Thank you!
things do happen to us that we can't control but we get to choose how to react. If we are depressed we can choose to eat or actually deal with the depression and do something to improve our life. If you are lonely go talk to someone. Tired? sleep! Bored? Get a hobby, exercise. Consciously choose to not turn to food when emotions come. Food is Fuel. That is All
Thank you for this video. Something happened at university that I had no control over. I have a meeting to discuss the issue before I go back to university. I was going to let the whole issue effect my holidays and my weight loss because of my anxiety over not being able control what's going to happen to me. I watched this video and knew whatever happens I will have the strength to deal with the problem as well as manage my weight loss... you are the best x
I blame it on ME... I make the wrong choices and now I am making better ones.. not GREAT ones... yet... but they are getting better! I have had LOTS of things happen to me over the years and I am sure MANY more to come.. but it's how I deal with them that matters. I finally KNOW THAT now.. Thanks Greg!
Yeah, the weight is just a symptom of whatever else is going on. And once you get to maintenance, then what? Hard to stop focusing on "weight loss"...but...there's life beyond it!
Love your message Greg...I have to comment on what you wrote at the end, I have to wonder if those people who end up accepting themselves as fat and not where they wanted to be, as happy, as those who go out and get what they want...acceptance is a huge part of relieving oneself of the guilt and crap they feel, so would accepting and acheiving sucess be close to the same thing, in one way, you are acting to change, and the other you are letting go of change...very interesting things to think of
@vzballa hey vince, I suppose it matters how you define "acceptance." I somehow put that word side by side with "settling for"....everyone is different, but I believe that if you ever reach a level of "acceptance," no matter what you have achieved or how happy you are, you will sooner or later become complaicent....and life will become less of an adventure....
yeah cool .. so true ... weight loss is totally not the issue at all .. and its good to see people putting that out on here ... it feels good to confront yourself ... x
We are SO powerful!!!! Thanks for posting! I know that I "look" as though I have been MIA....I have totally refocused this weight loss thing.....I have decided to go the MENTAL route....OMG! Changing your thoughs truly does change your wotld! I en-joyed My way up to 292 and I have en-joyed My way back down to 267....It is ALL mental!!!! This has been the easist time of Me changing My weight!!! I really agree with what you have stated!!!!
totally agree. ...well, almost: I think the problem is not that we falsely believe we cannot control things that we actually can. the problem is that we falsely think we NEED to control things that are actually IRRELEVANT to our personal growth. thank you for uploading this, greg. I have only just set out on my personal journey (again) this week and you absolutely kickstarted this day for me. cheers, mate! :)
thanks for the reminder that we CAN change! You hit it when you said that people are brainwashed into believing that they cannot change... when in reality people are quite adaptable if they decide to take control and say, "I am not going to continue to accept this behavior from myself!"
I hate when people use excuses for not taking control of what they say they want.
If you truely want something you will find a way to get it. You will learn to dedicate yourself to your goals!! I can tell if someone will be successful after about 15 seconds into their video~~
Thank you G. It is all an emotional rollercoaster, it is a mind game. Mindless eating. Its a mind game that people think they CAN NOT do something. Those negative thoughts can be the ruin of it all. Keep possitive and motivations will come.
Thank you greg, I needed to know I was on the right path and ideas
