The government should definitely build more schools exclusively to these migrant worker's children or accept them into regular schools. Itis not good for them and not good for China to not educate them.

Corruption is everywhere people, EVERYWHERE! Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, N&S Pole too

I think China is just trying to insure it will have another generation of cheap workforce to continue the development of Beijing & China.

If they drop out of school early with limited qualifications, then they are ideal to follow in the footsteps of their parents and stay low-paying migrant workers.

You have to ask yourself, why else wouldnt they give them the same opportunities as other citizens?

@henrooo There aren't enough jobs for 1.3 billion Chinese is why. Maybe,300,000,000 can liv in the cities and enjoy prosperity. But 900,000,000 are living in the rural areas of China on $2 a day. The rural dwellers can not even travel to see the beautiful cities built by the Chinese communists. The Communists are trying to provide prosperity for all the people there, and it is imperative they show progress or the dam of people may just overrun China

If chinese officials have historically being corrupt, why do you think a Chinese Democracy will solve corruption.

China is ranked lower in terms of its "Corruption Index" compared to "democracies" like India and Russia

What do you expect from communist policy makers? Especially when it's Chinese officials (who throughout history have always proven to be corrupt) deciding policy for a billion people. The system is bound to fail because they have absolutely no idea how to run a country or set up a just system.

I can't wait for this new generation of Beijingers to grow up and realize how badly their government has wronged them. I foresee 2 outcomes: 1) Major political change 2) Another Tienanmen Square incident.

You're correct, the West is far more corrupt and dangerous than China. Please, no need to turn this into a battle of nationalities.

We should be unified in trying to make the whole world a better place, not fighting amongst ourselves. That is exactly what THEY want us to do. @videochemist There are Chinese people living in America, and in Canada who know what poverty is. Who know how poor and desperate the Chinese people living in rural areas of China are. People who remember the great leap forward and the cultural revolution. Tens of millions of people died in both of those Chairman Mao experiments. And still the communists revere Mao.

And some here say it is corrupt in America. hahahahahaha
