Hey Fritz, thanks for another vid. Could you tell me does your welder have one of those timed tacking features, or do you just have a very quick foot? Also what amps did you use to tack, and then what amps to weld? Was that 304 stainless? Guage? Thanks! Keep 'em coming!
Here's a thought... maybe maybe next time someone DOES NOT question your ability as a welder, and actually defends your method of welding in a video, try not to act like an ass hole. Other than the gloves, I was actually impressed (until now) as few TIG Welders are able to Fuze Weld good... always set the machine too high and burn thru...
curious though, what was that weldment? Kinda looks like a spoiler?
@ tyroneshoes1: ROFLMy first thought was "man his arms are gonna sting if he has a bunch of those to do!!!" He is the first guy I seen weld in rubber gloves!
As long as it isn't structural or under any stress (i.e.its just a cover or something artistic) fuse welding is perfectly fine! Grind and scotch-bright the edges after, and you can impress any customer! You should try fusing two pieces of 24 gauge stainless!
@lucasthomasemailcom been at it since i was 14 son.you really don't know anything about welding and you should'nt pretend to.it only makes brings the worlds attention to the fucking retard you are.this is the reason i contract for porsche and build autopilots for yachts making the kind of income others dream of .so the next time you want to make a stupid comment ask yourself what did i do today.probably involves jerry springer and fruit loops oh yeah and an unemployment check.
Good choice of music but this is the most unsafe welder I have ever seen. Rubber gloves, welding with no arm or neck protection, tacking without a hood, no safety glasses, hippie hair hanging everywhere. I'd fire his dumb ass in a minute. Any first semester TIG weld student could do just as well.

just starting to tig. how do you get that quick arc to tack the pieces? I don't see how you'd do that with a foot pedal.
