  • Wow, that is incredible!! Awesome video!

  • I remember when I was younger, I used to believe that thunder was god bowling, lightning was god beating his wife and rain was god taking a shower.

  • Hi, this video is great!

I'm going to do a conference on thunderstorms for primary school children next month, and I'd like to show this kind of movie to illustrate some of my points. Could I use this video? What are the conditions of use, and may I get a copy of it?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • I love the end .)

  • beautiful

  • man, in my hometown always when thunderstorm comes by the sea i hop on my car and drive to coast and watch the show :D

  • hit 2 for spazzy tree

  • Cool.

  • I can't believe the clouds move like that. Some clouds going one way, some the other. Every thunderstorm I have had around here involves the clouds coming in from the west and dumping rain (and sometimes hale) for a few hours.

  • Wow!! Great time-lapse!

  • thats fkn incredible

  • Nice

  • 0:36 to 0:44 Just OMFG

  • Hmm. Well, I found this video because one of my reccommended videos cited this as the "Because you watched". However...I do not recall ever watching this video before now. 0_o. It was cool though.

  • That wind shear is amazing!

  • That is an amazing time lapse, we have a similar one but ours is in Hong Kong. You should come check it out along with some other really cool videos on our page, Amoura Productions. Thanks for posting!

  • Wow, are those natural colours at the end?

Much more impressive than my 6 time lapse films I have on YouTube, hint, hint, check out them out.

    jimbobbulu

    :)

  • the sky just turned purple lol xD

  • I love it!! :)

  • that is cool.

  • nicee :)! What time-lapse device did you use?

These guys have an infrared remote time-lapse device for every major brand of cameras: tempus.bymac.org

Ahhh.. your cameras does not support infrared?

what about a mechanical intervalometer that straps to your camera and physically presses the button for you? : tempusall.bymac.org

    Looks like some cool ideas.

  • i love to watch cumulonimbus clouds develop

  • I love from 0.36 right the way to the end.

  • that was amazing and beautiful

  • THAT....was just amazing!1 :D

  • I Love this clip! The dynamics! Can I ask what kind of camera you used?

  • lol imagine if clouds moved that fast in real time :D

  • @kouradoman They do. Ever been stood out in a Force 8-9, with winds at over 130kph. They're very nearly as quick.

  • That is awesome. Almost perfect outflow.

  • can't see the best things because can't be patient

  • Beautiful -3

  • The sky near the end, would go very nice as a computer background.

  • Mother nature <3

  • WoW :O

  • Wow those stars at the end !!! Is that for real, or is it photoshopped? Ive never seen anything like that.

  • Awesome!

  • Awesomeness! I love storms

  • awesome mammatus clouds at the end

  • The low level clouds are moving in the oppersit direction. So weird

What is causing this? Havent seen this before

    The thunderstorm cloud is impressive

  • @danleggymail its wind shear warm air under and cold air above if they are just right it may cause the updaft of the storms to rotate and may cause a tornado

  • The low level clouds are moving in the oppersit direction.

What is causing this? Havent seen this before

  • Where are all those clouds going so damn fast!?

  • What did you film this with please ?

  • Incredible looking characteristic anvil cloud at 0:23

    Thank you.

  • awesome. if only you had my camcorder :)

  • That's a long time-lapse. I can't imagine how many photos that was. Plus the cloud formations were amazing. I haven't seen that many in one setting. Great job.

  • So much evaporation taking plac

  • amazinnng!!

  • haha this is soo awesome :)

  • ...

  • swweeeeeeeeetttttttt

  • At the end, the "nuclear explosion," is a supercell forming

  • The sky is so beautiful near the end.

  • theres a piece of dust on your sensor, right around your bottom right third line. ;)

  • Amazing mammatus

  • 0:18 - holy fuck ! =-O amazing

  • awesome :) got my intervalometer now and Ive tried timelapse once now. Mind giving me some tips about settings? I had auto shutter speed and aperture. The focus was on manual and the exposure set to manual aswell. Took a picture every 5 sec.

Should all settings be on manual? and if so, how do I determin the best aperture and shutter speed so the light wont get messed up when it gets darker?

  • mother nature on her period is a scary effin thing

  • No, it is correct to refer to it as an anvil.

  • in 0:21 its a nuclear cloud explosion :D

  • @markjason2 towering cumolunimbus

  • It's called " the anvil" huh? Retard

  • /watch?v=HKTvAYik8Kw&feature=channel_video_title

  • clouds at 0:21 looks like an explosion :O

  • what was that in 0:21 ? i mean it looks like a MUSHROOM :D

  • @iGucHi193 its formation of a Wall Cloud

  • @eltonjohnfan100 That wasn't a wall cloud, it's called the Anvil and it's the top portion of a thunderstorm, also known as the primary "thunder head".

  • @eltonjohnfan100 wall cloud is a rotating cloud at the base of the thunderstorm. That is the anvil

  • mammatus clouds at 0:41

  • would have been so much better with music

  • that looks like my last LSD trip :P

  • Woah... those red clouds at 0:36 look demonic.

I never knew clouds actually move like that.

  • is that a supercell at 0:22?

  • @eeoy no its just growing i saw one once and thought it wwas a super cell it wasnt

  • time lapse rocks! It just shows how active & changing the world is despite how still it seems to us humans, literally the earth is changing as we speak. But I'd love to see a long term continental changing time lapse video

  • stars were added artificailly otherwise it would be moving

  • great video.... :)

  • God is smoking his weed

  • that is so cool

  • nice anvil at 0:22 :)

  • The sky at the end reminds me of Halo.

  • sweet. looks scary when its sped up lol

  • 0:20 looks like a nuclear explosion

  • @theFEMAcampESCAPEE yeah. right...

  • @theFEMAcampESCAPEE Yeah, lol. i dont know much about it but i think its something to do with ice particles hitting the ozone layer or stratosphere (well, one of them) and it acts like a roof so instead of going up they al spread out.

  • beautiful time lapse.

  • How many photos?

  • thats dope !

  • i like how the various layers of clouds are traveling in opposite directions. Weird.

  • 0:21 looks so cool how that thunderhead forms

  • Cloud Nuke goes off

    :20
