@nezzy520 no he didn't actually. he just marked where i wanted them and did it. i've bit myself in those two spots plenty before i got this done and never bit a vein that i know of lol.

it took about 2 weeks for the soreness to go away and another week for the tenderness. i waited until the like 5th week before i took them out and cleaned the studs thoroughly and put them back and had no problem they were the same way as if i've had them forever. i wanna have them when i'm 80

mhm mhm good idea! yeah they leave little like dimples when you take them out and they show up when you talk and smile and they take about as long as a cheek piercing to heal and pretty damn stubborn.. tummy ones are better/easier for a first piercing (because its lose skin) and way more feminine i think :)have fun hunn

I have had my dahlias since june 22, 2010, but i have long bendy plastic postes in, so i could eat without problems while they healed, but anything i try to switch with is too short. (the plastic ones i have now are too long, they were made long so they wouldnt be tight with the swelling) so idk what to use, any reccommendations? loll.

@XxMiseryBiznessxX The initial process didn't hurt me at all but, pain is relative. So, what doesn't hurt me, could hurt someone else. They swell moderately, nothing chipmunk cheek like though. It was swollen and tender enough to where when I ate I had to take very small bites and it would hurt to smile and laugh. It felt like my mouth was going to be ripped off.

You won't find out much about it, it's relatively new. When I got them there was only one person in the world with them.

Like all piercings, the pain varies between each person. For me, it wasn't the usual dull pinch, just a bit more. It hurt like hell the next few days though. I could barely open my mouth to eat and drink. I could barely laugh, it sucked. They are well worth it though, I love these more than any piercing I've had. I'll probably cry if I ever take them out.

But yeah, the skin is thicker than it would be for a labret or monroe.

My dahlias are the only thing on my face that i haven't had done. But when I pinch the skin between my fingers it seems so thick. With all of my other piercings the needle was in and out before I even realized what was happening.

I do have a high pain tolerance but it still scared me 0__o;

At the shop I went to, I payed 50 bucks for them as a pair. If I would have got them each individually, it would have been 30 each.

It just varies between shops.

They actually are really easy to take care of, they just weep a lot when they are healing. It's annoying.
