It's a great compilation. Slow-motion 3.12 of Forsberg's 5-5 goal is a good example about how not to defend. Finnish number 3 doesn't do squat and 13 has to rush in order to catch Forsberg. The whole game was a prime example about under-estimating opposing team and giving up after a certain lead is taken. I'm glad Finnish ice hockey team played wisely this year. Although Swedish team was fierce and they confused Finnish players' game dangerously well, it wasn't enough, lack of experience?
i think Sweden in general is the better hockey country, but Finland has a slightly better team in this tournament in my opinion. May the better team win. Altough, we have been in the finals 7 times with only 1 gold so far, so i think we deserve a second one by now..

Who cares about world championships? If you take worlds 100 best hockey players, maybe 2 or 3 of them play in the WC. So lets just count the tournaments that involve ALL THE BEST PLAYERS. No one in Finland remember the WC in 1995. What we achieved in Nagano 1998, World Cup 2004, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 is something to proud of. We can even go back to Canada Cup in 1991 if we want to argue which country, Finland or Sweden has the bigger achievements in hockey.

I downloaded this game just to get that "you can never win anything Finland"-moment. 13000 people in the arena, 90% finns were so humiliated that evening. Teemu Selänne, one of hockey's most over rated players lost again...and he cried after the game. 2. Multible small countires had a neutrality policy in WW2, including Finland (until you was attacked), was hardly unique for Sweden.

Who cares about world championships? If you take worlds 100 best hockey players, maybe 2 or 3 of them play in the WC. So lets just count the tournaments that involve ALL THE BEST PLAYERS. No one in Finland remember the WC in 1995. What we achieved in Nagano 1998, World Cup 2004, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 is something to proud of. We can even go back to Canada Cup in 1991 if we want to argue which country, Finland or Sweden has the bigger achievements in hockey.

Those days it was simply unpossible in Finland to think about a game. The war had just ended and the independence was much more important. So nowadays it's better to look the statistics from the last 20 years. But it's true, since 1990 Sweden is leading 16-10 in the medal amount.
