why wouldn't garruk block with the wall of woods, instead of with one of the civic wayfinders?

im trying to learn the game.

is he trying to take out one of my bears with his civic wayfinder going down with it, instead of blocking and not sacrificing a card to take out another?

is that the smart thing to do?

I feel like such a dork, thanks for the vid, I was being completely stupid and playing all my cards in the first phase instead of using instants how they should be used!

I thought it was easier to just attack him with all of my creatures and see which one he didn't block then put all of my instants on that one

I was sorta close; but I used my giant growths before attacking and got him down to 1 health. Also, I didn't know but will have to start using instants after my opponent has chosen blocks ;). Great vids, the comp voice ensures accurate communication and adds positively to the videos.

Nobody told me i could do /that/ with my instants! Never played magic before this game, so i'm so noobish without help:p At least i got /this/ far without external help:p Now that i know i can use my instants like this, i think everything in the game will be easier. Thanks^^,

@wijse it does work on PC, its all the same challenges. Check this video again, u must have missed something.

@TheElphin I have tried several times, it blocks everything and Garruk goes down to 1 in life, trample must be bugged or something. Its it the same with the elspeth expansion challenge, it won't block the goblin who gives damage if it goes into the graveyard.

@TheElphin Also in this video it blocks the 10/10 bear with a civic wayfinder 2/2 it does not do that in my games and i have tried 10 times now, it blocks with a wall and a creature on my boosted creature.

hmmm i am wondering if the battle starts you out on a life total of five? u are put into a scenario where its crucial to win the game in one turn? kinda leaves out the beginning of the battle which i enjoy

@bLurrr47 This is called Challenge mode, all of these matches put you in a situation where you have to win in one turn. There's 2 other modes that you can play that give you the normal play mode.
