There weren't any semi trucks, you seriously don't get it? Michael bay? It's just an allusion to the equivalent of the avatar of machinima. it's just giant fucking explosions and badass-ness. It's friggin cool, just lacks depth. I need myself an in depth, non-static set of characters with vulnerabilities, qualities and stories.
WTF! The Forgotten Spartans, Deus Ex Machina, Hard Justice, RED VS BLUE!?! You been living in a cave somewhere?
Now some constructive criticism.
First thing that bothered me was how unrealistic the Sandtrap scene was. I mean armed forces wouldn't have shooting patterns like that. Also, If I were in the warthog i woud have ran after seeing the first Hornet blow up.
Anyway overall I think that if you had thought this through more it would have been better.
Then you do nothing but waste screentime with him. Feeding importance into a character no one needs to care about just wastes time and effort. Placing a character no one cares about in danger doesn't raise suspense or make tension. If we don't care about the person in danger, we cant feel anything about the piece. It makes your antagonist less 'intimidating' and ruins the point in having an unstoppable monster. The bad guy cant be intimidating if he kills some unlikeable random character.
awesome! i had an idea like this but never bothered to actually do it cuz....i dont know how so i just waited for someone else to do it cuz im lazy XD
... amazing. Simply amazing. Directing, superb, simple but powerful effects, and as deep a story line you can get using halo 3 forge. The only thing I was counting on was that at the ending, some random person just came in and sniped the guy, while the camera then double zooms in on his face!!!
I saw some good effects on there and it worked well on the main 2 effects you used "Light Rays" and "TV Simulator" worked great i also liked how the story went but it was missing voices...i know you had one in there but it could use more to enhance the story, other then that Well done
Your editing was amazing and i think with access to better resources (a better mike) you could be very successful in this field. I believe that from this point on a lot of people will take your machinima seriously. As many have said before, there needs to be a story. I'm sure that if you ever continue to produce machinima, either based on this episode or others, you could develop a backstory to the zomg rofl mah lol copter super red team massacre instigator.Hopefully you will continue to improve
Seriously, you had brilliant editing but I don't think anyone wants you to become the fucking michael bay of machinima. Jackknifing semi-trucks and blowing things up aren't enough. Regardless, it was pretty decent.
@bob8410012 I'm having trouble enjoying it despite that. I like the effort and the overall work put into it, but there is no real story to it and we've all seen the 'invincible antagonist' done a million times before. My question: Why should anyone care about a random grey spartan? He had no character, meaning no one could care about him or what happens to him. We have nothing to link us to him, so he meant no more then say...the numerous warthogs destroyed. Great otherwise though.
dude let me just say great job on the video the affects where better than others ive seen besides a few of them from those big shot machinima makers lol. but thare was some stuff i dident like about it like how it dident even tell what the red guy was hunting the other guy for thats what lost me, second the video wouldeve been better with a script, third and heres just an advie overload the map when u use sandtrap/box so it dosent do the lazor or land mines like what it did between 5:49-5:54
This was like watching a hollywood movie. Machinimas like this are the future of Machinima. If somebody this good paired up with somebody with the ability to write a script. It would be amazing.
Amazing use of sound, music, and visuals to tell an... interestingly vague story. I'm surprised you're still making machinimas. I feel that Halo 3's engine is a bit too restrictive as a story-telling media.
The Halo 3 engine can be restrictive but I definately dont consider it as being too restrictive. As long as I own an Xbox, in the back of my mind I will always be thinking of new ideas for machinimas.
They are extremely cheap to make for the types of stories they can tell.
This is a shitty video.Stupid plot. The guy that's invincible gets boring and stupid really quick.Worst video I've EVER seen.

Great work overall for a produtcion, but for a machinima...
to bring potential out of this i could c better use of camera angles and movement (i understand using the joystick can be hard)
Music worked very well, good in game effects as well as editing.
Im givin it a video rating 7/7 and machinima rating of 6.7/7 You definitely earned it

other wise it was good i give it a 8/10. keep up the good work

Technically good, but also kinda pointless. This dude is invincible, has magical powers, and a pistol that kills anything in one shot.
Why is he doing (what appear to be) contract killings, and not being ruler of the world? Just... pointless.

oh one thing tho... ONE thing! You gotta get another mic! The sound was terrible! i would have prefered no sound acctually.
