Republicans are jealous that progressives were able to ressurect the public option. The best the R's can do is ressurect death panels--and just in time for Halloween! Why am I not surprised? Next they'll push the birth certificate thing again. It just shows they've got nothing to contribute but alarmist moonbattery. They remind me of the little boy who cried "wolf!" If there are death panels (for registered Republicans) in the final bill--it'll be too late for them. No one will heed their cries!

How about the party that ran a year long campaign saying that a republican sponsored medicare funding bill,that INCREASED spending at 3% instead of 6%, was a cut. They didn't stop there and produced a tv campaign saying republicans wanted to kill senior citizens by cutting their benefits!

-intervene in medical care decisions between patients and doctors (and families)

-be a gov't takeover of healthcare

So how could competition and reforming insurance be bad? If it threatens the profits its a "government take-over" and "socialism". What about the 40,000 + Americans that die every year from lack of health insurance? They were on a death panel...just a private one behind closed corporate doors.
