  • In this brief space of breathing before death, your kind songs bring beauty and light into this dark nighted sphere. The sweet spot of love, the very heart, grateful and never dead, who sings beyond and above, indeed sings your ukelele and strums your lovely voice. Please sing on, as Dylan Thomas did, " Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means, Time held me green and dying Though I sang in my chains like the sea."

  • Saw them in Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, L.A., Ventura. Was there in Green Bay when they got rained out. Miss them and the people I saw them with. At least I have YouTube, American Beauty, Working Man's Dead, Mars Hotel, Live Dead, Europe '73, podcasts, on and on, etc. It all becomes more important to me each day that passes. Many got more, at least I got what I got. Thanks for your sensitive and caring covers.

  • @sirlovemehard It does bum me out that I was born too late- but it's important to carry the torch for another generation. Did you go on tour?

  • @adellethegreat

you weren't born to late - that's just way to sad. check out Cheese, Panjea, Donna the Baffalo, etc.

  • @jimsgreenberg There are a lot of other great touring jam bands out there today, you are completely right. But I am still sad I missed out on seeing Mr Garcia in person. Speaking of good jam bands out there today- check out Hoots & Hellmouth sometime- great stuff.

  • @Jimihendrix247 Aw man that's awesome- thanks so much for that. And thanks for helping to carry the torch to another generation! I was just a bit younger than you when I really became a head. Bleh that made me feel old. I'm still in my 20's, damnit! lolz okay I'll shush. Thanks for watching.

  • I'm an Adelle-Head for sure.

  • Wow. This really moved me...you have an unbelievable talent. The words of the prophets flow through you so beautifully.

  • That is such an absolutely wonderful thing to say- thank you so much. Means a lot to me.

  • Nice job. Was listening to those guys when you were a gleam in dad's eyes.

  • Ha! I used to be sad thinking I was born to late... but now I'm happy to be carrying the torch for a new generation :)

    Thanks for watching, man.

  • Good music is timeless. There was a lot of experimentation when I was growing up, fusion with about any style of music you could think of. The amazing thing was the different types of bands that were filling large venues. There's really not much that is new anymore but there are bands that do what they do well. The good groups for the most part endured the test of time the same way that the current bands that are good will be listened to 20 or 30 years down the road.
