I remember going to this park when I was about 11. I don't ride rollercoasters but my dad does and this was the first thing he rode in the park. Normally rides don't bother him but he was soo green after this ride. Ah memories.

@kbarbs101 Not bad at all... usually. Sometimes you will pick a bad day, but it's normally a good time any weekday. Just check the calendar on the park's webpage and make sure there's not some kind of stupid attraction that day... like Spirit Song at King's Island. Totally lame!

@danielleduckgirl Griffon is like Shiekra because Busch Gardens Tampa and Busch Gardens Williamsburg were both owned by Anheiser Busch. BTW Griffon is Taller than Sheikra. Oh and one more thing...Busch Gardens has been ranked the most beautiful park in the world for the 21st consecutive year. Tampa can't touch Williamsburg.

@tatedarius1 Actually they were sold a couple of years ago to Blackstone Group when Inbev bought Busch beer. But yes it is the most beautiful park I worked there as a kid and they really were top notch as far as upkeep goes. Nothing to worry though Blackstone group said that the Busch Legacy was brilliant and nothing would change, upkeep, charities and conservation work would remain the same. Only difference is if you talk to the employees now over there is they are much happier.

@SamuraiSuckerpunch you are strapped in by a shoulder harness and belt, it is very safe, and VERY FUN!!! It is definitely worth a try!! One of my FAVES!!! A good one to start on to build your way up to the Griffon! :)

@TheCardinalsrbeast it depends. as a virginia veteran i know that busch gardens was generally really busy in the summer cos all the virginia kidds are outta school. the best times to go are between september and may (whenever the park is open, that is) and during the day :) oh and if you get in line for big rides around closing time, they sometimes let you ride multiple times. :) i remember riding alpengeist four times in a row. don't do it. one-way ticket to nausea.

@dctbymc darkcastle is cool and all but i'm glad i went on it once. i wouldn't wait 2 hours in line for it. it's been a 2 hour wait before. ugg. apollo...varies. sometimes it's really long, sometimes it's not long at all! if you're a huge coaster fan, it's worth the wait. if you don't like the floating feeling i wouldn't do it, but yeah. which row is best for apollo? the back is rumored to give you a faster ride, but it's also a rougher one...so i'd go more toward the front. :)
