I had an idea for a song. It has a sort of melodic, experimental, psychedelic rock thing, sort of like one of the Velvet Undergrounds Nico songs but cleaner and even more trancy. This beautifully complex melody flows through your mind and transports you into a blissful abyss. But then, suddenly, a Kurt Cobain style guitar comes in and scratches your brain with slow dissonant bends that make you close your eyes and mentally writhe in pain but the song somehow remain melodic and appealing.

I had an idea for a song. It has a sort of melodic, experimental, psychedelic rock thing, sort of like one of the Velvet Undergrounds Nico songs but cleaner and even more trancy. This beautifully complex melody flows through your mind and transports you into a blissful abyss. But then, suddenly, a Kurt Cobain style guitar comes in and scratches your brain with slow dissonant bends that make you close your eyes and mentally writhe in pain but the song somehow remain melodic and appealing.

Plus actually I think it's not the mass pop listeners to blame. Since it used to be that radio was the mass listening channel. Okay if radio doesn't get enough listeners it will stop playing and some other radio broadcaster will take place.
But nowadays the main channel is TV and like MTv but they get paid instead of the audience it's the producers who sell they "artists" to the channel. So people listen what the producers think that people would listen instead of big scale of music it gets smal

1. Do you like it? Well that's the simplest
2. Does it fit your " who you are " like social classes used to be ( genre etc. ) some people only listen it 'cause it fits their genre like black metal. And blond teen girls listen to pop 'cause it bound to what they are.
3. Can you brag with it? "underground" music etc. r popular , hipsters listen ug etc.
