Ive got eczema all over my body ( itchy and burning redness ). Started chinese herbal treatment, been doing it for nearly a month now but no improvement if anything it seems worse. They said i have to quit cannabis so i did for a few days ( hardest thing ive done ) and my stress levels hit the roof so ive stopped the treatment and im back on the weed. Just wondering what ppls opinions are on chinese treatment? Im 50/50
@rockyUK1990 good post, avoid Chinese herbal treatment PERIOD. A lot of "herbal" treatment is mistreatment, because it causes more severe side effects to kidneys and other organs. I have done so much reading on eczema and other skin diseases so the word about town is stay CLEAR away from Chinese herbal and steroids. For the past 2 weeks I have been eating raw fruits and veggies WAY more. Normally 45% of my meals are raw veggies, now -- its 89% RAW baby, wow the difference!
its good if u r trying to take time off the steroid stuff but it does not keep the skin moist for long , mix with organic aloe lotion or a hypoallergenic bodycream to help retain xtra moisture. coconut oil alone drips on evrything.
I have had eczema my whole life. I tried every type of remedy you can think of... went to the doctors, a homeopath, had blood work done, went on a diet, tried creams and lotions and nothing worked. Nothing.
I put this exact stuff on my eczema and it started have a reaction which at first I thought was bad, but realized that it was pulling all the toxins out.
In a few days it was gone and I haven't had a flare up since! (It's been 2 and half years.)
@CroissantDancer Hi there I just saw this. Are you back on your new diet while using this coconut oil? I haven't tried the coconut oil but did a liver and colon cleanse but now eczema flared up again!
It might work for some people but I DO NOT recommend coconut oil for eczema.. its great for the hair though. The only thing that works for me (my bf and mom) is shea butter mixed with olive oil. Coconut oil gave us a bad reaction. Drink LOTS of water and exercise. Eat lots of fresh veggies and less meat, eggs, chocolate. Don't wash, eat or wear things with harsh chemicals. The worst thing is steroid. It might work at first but it'll make it worst (its a medical scam!) and results harder to cure.
@spacetraveller2521 Completely agree on the steroid part. I'm working a way to find my own path to being cured. How are things for you on eczema so far? Please do share any ideas. :)
Hi sandy thanks for the comment, yah my eczema has cured :D I do break out sometimes, but I just rub in some shea butter and it goes away. Though I have to warn people that if you have bad eczema it will take time. I had it for 26 years, the more I used steroid the worst it got. It took me 9 months to get healthy. I'm not gonna lie it was a nightmare, I had a really hard time with it I would emotionally break downand reach for steroid, but if you do then your back to day 1..
I suggest an allergy test. Also try not to use chemicals. The other day I used shampoo and soap at my friends house and my skin got a rash.. use soaps thats all natural. I use out of africa bar soaps. for hair I use Dudu-Osum shampoo and conditioner (amazing stuff!) I make my skin toner with hibiscus, rose hip, cucumber, camomile, honey. then some shea mixed with olive oil. Also skin masks are amazing. Yogert, honey, banana, avocado, watermelon..
rub the shea in skin well. eat lots of fruits and veggies, water is so important. I use water filters cuz the bottled/tap is unhealthy (loaded with chemicals) I use fill2pure filter bottles and its so much cheaper. Also wear soft clothes like cotton when u sleep. do a detox for the body sometimes, corriander, cardamon(chai) are great to flush out metals and chemical out of your body. exercise to help body flush and clean your blood. hope this helps, good luck and stay strong!!
HIBICLENS continue-The following day he applied it again and now his discolored skin is blending with the rest of his skin. As a parent, I'm so grateful to this product because my heart ached for my son when he was teased. Now his eczema is gone! You have to try this product!!!
HIBICLENS antiseptic/microbial skin cleanser is a life saver!!! My son struggled for years. We tried everything from medication to coconut oil/apple cider vinegar. I purchased HIBICLENS from Walgreens and had him apply a little to his skin for 20 minutes then rinse it. The following day his rough skin was smoothed. We couldn't believe it!
cont-After continued applications, his discolored skin is blending with the rest of his skin. As a parent, I'm so grateful to this product because my heart ached for my son when he was teased. Now his eczema is gone!
My son had the worst case at 3 months old. I took him to every docotor I could find. he is 20 now. They all gave me cortisone creams. Didn't use them. Not one said things like"Try to keep moisture in the skin at all times" no long hot baths or showers or put organic creams on right away after washing. He and I were so miserable. Now he uses coconut oil-keeps his vit D &k2 at high levels. Important to keep the immune system on an even keel also. The Healing Codes system is awesome .
I love coconut oil. My little one has eczema. I was using some type of medicine prescribed by the doctor that DID NOT WORK. I start using the coconut oil and it actually healed his skin. I stopped using coconut on him for about 2 weeks and sure enough...the little bumps start reappearing so I start using the coconut oil again. And I'm not stopping!! Give it a try. It's good for a variety of things. Well worth the money.
@kenyaful2012 not only that but its cheaper in the long run than lotions because a little bit can go a long way-a whole $9 tub can last a month and a half for me
I had very severe eczema on my hands, elbows. ankles and shoulders. This was the type of eczema that would blister, ooze, crack and bleed. My dermatologist told me that it was caused by an allergic reaction, and gave me a prescription steroid that gave temporary relief, but not a cure. I got rid of my eczema by going on an elimination diet until I learned what allergins were causing it. For me it was dairy, wheat and any product made from corn. When I eliminated the allergins, my eczema healed.
@JackHu1000 Personally, I love coconut oil in cooking for its scent, and it works great on hair too, but I'm not so sure about the skin. Because for skin with eczema, it is also important that the oil is light, fast aborbing and non irritating. I've tried shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, sweet almond oil, so many kinds - it doesn't matter how moisturizing it is, it matters the most how non irritating and fast absorbing it is.
it's also extremely yummy and GOOD for you. If you haven't eaten it by the spoonful or used it in cooking, I'd certainly recommend it. There's so many uses for it. Coconut water/milk is great too.
sometimes eczema is a sign of a deeper internal problem. It can occur from a problem with candida, and also food allergies (but candida can also cause food intolerance that might make eczema flair up). You can eat coconut oil to somewhat help fight candida overgrowth, so if it doesn't help topically, you may want to try it internally. ALSO, I hear it is great for dental hygiene, you can do oil pulling with coconut oil swished around in your mouth for at least like 10-15 min.
@stayawayAK This is exactly what I suspected. I'm thinking if someone has really mild eczema it might help, but pretty much since I was born I've always had eczema from Hell that needs stronger stuff. I'm thinking there's no way this would work for me.
use hydro cortizone plus or ten and apply it everyday when you get out of the shower when your pores are open and it will be gone in a few days but if you stop it wil come back it cured mne
@shorttsosweet from what i've been reading, taking birth control will make it worse. you might want to look up information for eczema and intestinal bacteria (see what djifnf said)
my son has eczema and it's about moderate... for over a year we've used coconut oil and it keeps his skin moisturized but I would never say this CURES it... not in a million years. I don't think there is a cure for it, but you can control it. However, I wouldn't even say this fully controls it (not alone).
@servantrose Hello. I have eczema on my finger and it hurts. I can't fully bend it..ouch. What did you use for your child? IT is driving me nuts...it hurts and itches. What ever I touch makes it hurt...I am glad I have it and not my children..Thank you for any tips...
@lamamitaty right now we are using shea butter for moisturizing. oatmeal (like the kind for breakfast) as a soak in the bath seems to sooth him. flaxseed oil, fish oil, olive oil all have fatty acids which help your skin replenish itself. drink lots of water and if you haven't, look into if you have allergies or yeast overgrowth.
Check out Natures Natural Solutions goatmilkskincare What you use on your skin can make a huge difference, so many products are so full of harsh chemicals that aggravate eczema. Check out their testimonials page and the prices are very good.
@alythecat1 try using vaseline instead. sooooo much better. i swear. i have eczema on my arms, legs, neck and face and i use it and it doesnt cure it but it helps it ALOT. trust me please.
@211alicat do you have it in the pitts of your knees and the insides of you elbows? I also use vaseline, and found it gives the best results of otc stuff but my doctor prescribed me Triamcinoione Acetonide and it makes it go away in one day and it stays gone for 1-2 weeks in my case if I stay out of the sun.
@fatgirlfister ya i do have it in the pitts of my knees and insides of my elbows. and thats good. my dr prescribed me with triamcinolone acetonide cream also and it just helps my excema and helps me from scratching. i put it only if my skin is very red or if i have open wounds. but it doesnt cure it for a week or two, just helps. the dr also prescribed me with cloderm and it works just as well as triamcinolone.
hold up if you did use BRAGGS apple cider vinegar and it did not work then you really must look into a product called supernatural silver it is one of the best thing i used for eczema it cured it in one week! i put it on three times a day and after that it has not came back since, BUT its not cheep.
Quit giving bad advice! Use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar!! It is used for acid reflux syndrome, acne, arthritis, athletes foot, yeast, cholesterol, coughs, colds, dandruff, diabetes, eczema, weight loss, menopausal symptoms and for your pets! RETURN THAT CRAP!!!!!!!
@bboyabel I tried 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar everyday for a loooong time before splurging on coconut oil :)
But if you are a negative person your eczema may stem from that, and if you do have a food allergy it could also stem from that. temporary relief = extra virgin coconut oil
because while finding out what triggers your eczema you might as well find some organic and natural substance to give you relief as it may be a long process ^_^
@acraftyasian If you were to mix it with anything mix it with some vitamin e oil or pure shea butter... but i wouldn't recommend mixing it with anything made with unorganic ingredients because they usually have alcohols/fragrances/mineral oils that can irritate skin-even if they're for "sensitive skin"
Coconut oil works wonders for eczema and acne.... I have them both and my skin is very fresh looking and clear. The coconut oil has helped in fading my dark spots
all this doesn't work, apple cider vinegar doesn't work, neither does extra virgin coconut oil, neither does lactobacillus aka yougurt. Get off your computer. That will work. You all have hypoxia if you recently got eczema. Check out my Channel.

No. You must avoid GLUTEN cuz the problem is mostly DIGESTIVE and you must take coffee enemas with a rectal syringe. Sounds nutz huh? Yep. After about 3 weeks your problems will be about 90% gone and for super cheap, too. Brainy-esque doctors don't know about this --I saw dozens of smart docs before the crazy hippies cured me. Don't waste your life suffering. Coconut oil might also help, sure.
@slipperybacon steroid cream is the worst thing u could possibly do for eczema. both my children and my husband have it, but the kids are severe. I had been putting it on them both since they were about six months and it completely screwed up their development, its stunted their growth until i finally stopped giving it to them. It also made their skin very very thin in the places i put it so that the tiniest bit of rubbing could burst open healed skin. Steroid creams should be avoided!!!!!!!
steroids are the only thing that work for me too. i just hate having to go to the doctor and now and then and payin a ridiculous fifty quid for a repeat prescription argghh!!!
i havent tried this but i doubt it will work because os the perfume "coconut" in it which irritates the skin even more, so i dont think that will be much use :L
i think its the environmental changes that cause my eczema and also that my eating habits have changed. My eczema has been improving and I dont scratch at night anymore. I would recommended
1. taking fish oil with every meal
2. check if u have allergies, if u do take allergy medicine like zyrtec
3. drink kangen water. Not saying u have 2 buy a machine im looking into it. Drinking 4 about 3 months and my eczema has been improving im not itchy but my skin is still red dry. Hope this helps
swimming in the ocean helps alot too. I live 1000 kilometers from the sea so I don't get to swim in it too often but when I do it clears my skin right up, it also clears up my acne. I'm keen to try this Apple Cider Vinegar too, sounds promising!

My skin on the corners of my thumb nails were cracking and I used the coconut oil and a bandaid before I went to bed. They do have finger and thumb bandages also. For some reason though, the adhesive irritates my skin.
I've read it's some type of fungal infection. I just bought two of these same brand virgin coconut oil at Meijers on sale for 9.95.(usually around 13.00) This one is more expensive but the health food store would be more and too far away.
coconut oil didnt work at all for me. & the food allergy is a fucking myth. how do you expalin all those ungrateful clear-skinned fags who eat shit everyday...i mean LOTS of junk, their skin is perfect
I have severe eczema. I'm always looking for these sorts of magical remedies online, and most of the time, they prove to have very limited effects (if any), and usually only last for small periods of time. This is yet another case of it just not working the way you say it does.
If you have, like, one area of a little dry skin, then maybe this would work for you. For me, though, does't work for more than an hour or two of relief from the itchiness and dryness.
@MandyCM DONT USE IT ON YOUR FACE!!!!!!!!!!!! I used it on my face and it broke me out horribly, I put it on my face in August and I finally got it under control in January, if you are acne proned you should not do it. peace
I had a bad case of eczema and psoriasis. I take internally 2 tbs of vco daily, for about a week now. It had cleared up tremendously. Also too much sugar, sweetener; stevia or any natural sugars can exacerbate the condition.
@Azoruk it could also be something else triggering the eczema; try to eat foods that are as less processed as possible.. have you been under stress? sometimes that can also trigger eczema
@Azoruk ORGANIC. Stop eating processed food, stop eating out, stop drinking soda. Our bodies were not meant to have chemicals in us. Drink a lot of water too.
@Azoruk That's a steriod right?? I can't use those anymore. Steriods have thinned out my skin so bad, I get cuts so easily now and my skin flares all the time. I'm currently using Aquaphor and it's been helping a little. But the itch is still really bad. I only get 1-2 hours of sleep per night. I heard that apple cider vinegar is good though. Might have to try that out...
Spot on! I have eczema and the ticket is to apply coconut right after taking a shower. So have some coconut oil...in liquid form preferable...and dry off with a towel. then apply coconut. I switch between 3 oils 2 days coconut 2 days Hemp Oil 2 days olive oil. I then add all 3 of these ingredients, to my smoothies so it work on eczema from within. I also take enzymes, vegan acidophiles, apple cider and vinegar with cinnamon takes the bad taste out and multi vitamin.
I thought I had been in contact with poison Ivy. But my Dermatologist said "nope you have eczema" . Nothing prescribed worked for me until I saw this and used extra v coconut oil.
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think there is a cure for it, but you can control it. However, I wouldn't even say this fully controls it (not alone).
servantrose 4 months ago
@servantrose Hello. I have eczema on my finger and it hurts. I can't fully bend it..ouch. What did you use for your child? IT is driving me nuts...it hurts and itches. What ever I touch makes it hurt...I am glad I have it and not my children..Thank you for any tips...
lamamitaty 3 months ago
@lamamitaty right now we are using shea butter for moisturizing. oatmeal (like the kind for breakfast) as a soak in the bath seems to sooth him. flaxseed oil, fish oil, olive oil all have fatty acids which help your skin replenish itself. drink lots of water and if you haven't, look into if you have allergies or yeast overgrowth.

@alythecat1 try using vaseline instead. sooooo much better. i swear. i have eczema on my arms, legs, neck and face and i use it and it doesnt cure it but it helps it ALOT. trust me please.
211alicat 6 months ago
@211alicat do you have it in the pitts of your knees and the insides of you elbows? I also use vaseline, and found it gives the best results of otc stuff but my doctor prescribed me Triamcinoione Acetonide and it makes it go away in one day and it stays gone for 1-2 weeks in my case if I stay out of the sun.
fatgirlfister 6 months ago
@fatgirlfister ya i do have it in the pitts of my knees and insides of my elbows. and thats good. my dr prescribed me with triamcinolone acetonide cream also and it just helps my excema and helps me from scratching. i put it only if my skin is very red or if i have open wounds. but it doesnt cure it for a week or two, just helps. the dr also prescribed me with cloderm and it works just as well as triamcinolone.

hold up if you did use BRAGGS apple cider vinegar and it did not work then you really must look into a product called supernatural silver it is one of the best thing i used for eczema it cured it in one week! i put it on three times a day and after that it has not came back since, BUT its not cheep.
bboyabel 7 months ago
Quit giving bad advice! Use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar!! It is used for acid reflux syndrome, acne, arthritis, athletes foot, yeast, cholesterol, coughs, colds, dandruff, diabetes, eczema, weight loss, menopausal symptoms and for your pets! RETURN THAT CRAP!!!!!!!
bboyabel 7 months ago
@bboyabel I tried 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar everyday for a loooong time before splurging on coconut oil :)
But if you are a negative person your eczema may stem from that, and if you do have a food allergy it could also stem from that. temporary relief = extra virgin coconut oil
because while finding out what triggers your eczema you might as well find some organic and natural substance to give you relief as it may be a long process ^_^
kowaihippo 7 months ago
Didn't help too much for me, must be a food allergy. Topical vitamin E soothed it. Castor oil made it worse -or was it the particular brand I used?

@hippomunchi can i mix this with moisterisers such as eucerin or absorbase?
acraftyasian 7 months ago
@acraftyasian If you were to mix it with anything mix it with some vitamin e oil or pure shea butter... but i wouldn't recommend mixing it with anything made with unorganic ingredients because they usually have alcohols/fragrances/mineral oils that can irritate skin-even if they're for "sensitive skin"

Steroid cream is the was to go
slipperybacon 11 months ago
@slipperybacon steroid cream is the worst thing u could possibly do for eczema. both my children and my husband have it, but the kids are severe. I had been putting it on them both since they were about six months and it completely screwed up their development, its stunted their growth until i finally stopped giving it to them. It also made their skin very very thin in the places i put it so that the tiniest bit of rubbing could burst open healed skin. Steroid creams should be avoided!!!!!!!
lilfreeway21 11 months ago
steroids are the only thing that work for me too. i just hate having to go to the doctor and now and then and payin a ridiculous fifty quid for a repeat prescription argghh!!!

i think its the environmental changes that cause my eczema and also that my eating habits have changed.

My skin on the corners of my thumb nails were cracking and I used the coconut oil and a bandaid before I went to bed. They do have finger and thumb bandages also. For some reason though, the adhesive irritates my skin.

I've read it's some type of fungal infection. I just bought two of these same brand virgin coconut oil at Meijers on sale for 9.95.(usually around 13.00) This one is more expensive but the health food store would be more and too far away.
aleon1018 1 year ago
coconut oil didnt work at all for me. & the food allergy is a fucking myth. how do you expalin all those ungrateful clear-skinned fags who eat shit everyday...i mean LOTS of junk, their skin is perfect
BellaaMarlene 1 year ago
@BellaaMarlene eczema is sometimes related to food allergies. You should get allergy tested.

@BellaaMarlene I know exactly what your talking about.
fkn eat shit like all of the time and their skin is soo clear.
But hey, did you know their bodies wont go so good in the long wrong.
Maybe they have all of the shit stored inside of their bodies but it hasn't shown :)

i have a treatment that will get ride of your eczema fast whilst your applying your daily creams etc.
i dont recommend it, but, if you cant bare it anymore a few minutes every few days on the sun bed will clear your eczema up quick.
if you do choose to use this method keep applying creams as you usuasly would and only use the sun bed until the inflamed areas are gone.
this is just a suggestion

I have severe eczema. I'm always looking for these sorts of magical remedies online, and most of the time, they prove to have very limited effects (if any), and usually only last for small periods of time. This is yet another case of it just not working the way you say it does.
If you have, like, one area of a little dry skin, then maybe this would work for you. For me, though, does't work for more than an hour or two of relief from the itchiness and dryness.
Ober839 1 year ago
@Ober839 i have had very severe exema since birth and what i find works for me is
wear bandages (at night put loads of cream on the put a dry bandage and then a wet one on top )
dont drink milk
only wear cotton
applie cream before and after every time you bath or shower
wear mittens at night
drink loads of water
and sleep well
if you do all of these in 3 week i almost garente you will see and feel a change
ps sorry for all the spelling mistakes

I had a bad case of eczema and psoriasis. I take internally 2 tbs of vco daily, for about a week now. It had cleared up tremendously. Also too much sugar, sweetener; stevia or any natural sugars can exacerbate the condition.

@Azoruk what kind of eczema do you have ?
hammerlove123 1 year ago
