This afternoon, the House was moments away from approving a resolution to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the entry of Hawaii into the Union that contains language declaring that President Obama was born in the state. But at the very last second, Rep. Michele Bachmann [R, MN-6] swooped in and rescued the birthers from legislative defeat.
I give her props for a somewhat ingenious use of a double negative which could not have been by mistake. The fact that she is smarter than most give her credit, is not crazy but deliberately subversive, makes her scarier and not to be taken for granted or quickly dismissed.

Actually 5 out of the last 8 presidents were Republicans, two serving 2 terms. That means over the last 40 yrs, Replublicans controlled the White House for 28 yrs. By Law, Art 2 of the Constitution, the President MUST BE a natural born citizen. If Mr Obama is not a natural born citizen he is INELIGIBLE to hold the Office of the President.

Since Obama was BORN (Not naturalized) on US soil he is a citizen since birth.

Actually 5 out of the last 8 presidents were Republicans, two serving 2 terms. That means over the last 40 yrs, Replublicans controlled the White House for 28 yrs. As a matter of fact, there have been more Republican Presidents than any other party. Also the Republicans controlled congress for 12 of the last 15 yrs. So i'm not gettin the whole 100yrs thing. Since Obama was BORN (Not naturalized) on US soil he is a citizen since birth.
