Hi Dave. The songs with the new musical arrangements. Are they done by you or is there a cd somewhere that has been released. The distant drums version gave me goose bumps . Cheers Paul
Dear Dave, whenever I cross the pages of you on you tube It´s a sesson for my soul.-All this songs from Jim never mind in africaans or english are touching my heart.--Mach weiter so und schenke uns mehr von dieser musik.--Hope fully even after us will be some poeple who could apriciate what kind of art good music is.
Thank you Klaus for your lovely comment and your visit. Sadly Jim is no longer with us but thanks to the number of recordings he made we have many songs to listen to and his music will live on for ever.
You have captured the meaning of this song so beautifully. It was one of my Mother's favorite Jim songs. I miss her so much. Thank you, David, for posting the wonderful music of Jim Reeves. God bless.
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you like my video and that it is your favourite. as for the lack of viewings I suppose it's a matter of choice. All I can do is upload and send to all on my YouTube address list and hope that they in turn will share with those on their lists.
The Distant Drums, reminds me of when I was wee (small), and would hear the Gordon Highlander's play the bagpipes, during World War Two. There was a regiment of them here in Aberdeen, the pipes fairly gets your courage going.
So thank you. Another thing I remember is Sir Harry Lauder singing Keep Right On To The End Of The Road, I, was aged three years. My late Mum, sang that song when the going got tough.
This is a Incredible Version.

Hi Jean
Thanks for the compliments I did search through many WW1 pictures then added "old film" effects to make the video seem more realistic.
God Bless
