  • i like this stuff.

  • Hey, please tell Tom, it's great! I shoot only on film, but I love his style, very Lynch but without the boring parts, and funny too. Some nice double exposure and noir lighting. Good to finally see a short film worth watching. Keep it up...by the way i build developing machines if anyone wants one-will post a link.

  • @Kinematographer Thanks :) and I will!!!!

  • good montages

  • @JonathanHancock Thanks!

  • Man what a trip. Thought I was watching an Orson Welles noir. Super-outstanding work and can't say enough about the imagery. Very inspiring to see someone can make this kind of film in today's DSLR/HD world.

  • @x05e Thank you! Tom who made the film, loves shooting stuff on 16mm and Super 16mm. He only shoots on film, The short is very Twilight Zone style and a bit film noir also. This is one of my favorite short films of his, and it was fun to act in!

  • This is without a doubt the best short film I've ever seen.

  • @ChesneyDigital Thanks! My friend Tom did a great job on it! It was fun to work on the project.

  • @super8punk I checked out your friend's site and was greatly impressed, though it's too bad filmmakers like this never seem to do a full length feature. "Connie Machine" is listed as a "feature in production" but I can't seem to find any other info about it online. Wonder what ever became of that project.

  • @ChesneyDigital Cool! His short films on 16mm are great and yes wish more people would watch more short films by underground filmmakers. The last time I talk with Tom was a few months ago and he was still working on his first feature film Connie Machine, he is taking his time on it. I have only seen that clip also. I talk with him soon and see how things are going on with the feature.

  • @super8punk I'm not sure it's a case of more people needing to watch short films, rather more decent short films need to be made. Seriously how many good short "films" have you seen lately? Most of em' are rediculous cam-corder videos trying to be mainstream for the sake of notoriety. Your friend's work though, boldly stands apart from the crowd and I'm seriously anticipating the release of "Connie Machine". By the way, who is "Samara"?

  • @ChesneyDigital That is true about short films, have not seen to many good ones of late! Thank you for the nice comments, hope his Connie Machine comes out soon! Samara is one of his friends who works/help out on his films, she makes short films also.
