How does anyone know that dragons and wyvern's never existed. The only way we know that ancient sharks (Megaladons) existed is by their jawbone. The rest of their skeletons were made of cartlage that dissolved after they died. If dragons entire structure was made of cartlage (including its jawbone), there would be nothing left to prove it ever acutally existed. For all we know there may have actually been dragons. We just dont have the ability to prove it...yet!

@PainVsPerfect Because in reality you have to take weight into account with flight. A dragon wouldn't simply shoot into the sky, nor would it easily make attacks to the ground while in flight. The dragon would probably only fly to escape if anything.

Think of it this way, it would be completely impossibly for the dragon to take off from the ground. They'd need to be on a cliff edge or something. If we were looking at fantasy then maybe, but not if we take realism into account.

I think that dragons died out the same time the dinosaurs died out, and the Bible describes dragons completely: chest armor, big gliding lizard that can breathe fire, has horns, has a big tail that can be used as a weapon, etc. The Bible also refers to the Dragon as a Leviathan. Maybe you can research some more, and let me know.
