I got out of work that night at like, nine. I could see the fire from where North Street meets West Hoosie. I friend of mine lived there. As everyone else has been saying, he lost everything too. It was also a pain in the ass trying to get home, because I live off of Route Seven and had such a hard time getting around.
Yea it was creepy as hell. i worked 3rd shift on west housatonic street, and was driving by on the way home. omfg. i had never seen anything like this in my entire life. HUGEEE flames, embers flyin all over the place. thousands of people all around, with cell phones - taking video n shit. it was insannnne
Yeah, i saw this first hand. It was something I had never seen before, and the flames were huge. U could see the huge embers and ashes flying all over, hitting the nearby buildings. U could smell the smoke from miles away. I work on west housatonic, and was just getting out of work that night @ 8:30 and drove by right in time to see the action. it was so scary.
I live off of Tyler St and I was able to smell it....a house just burned down on the street I live on yesterday....its a very shocking and random thing....
My StepDad lived there. He went to work and came home to this. He lost everything except what he was wearing. Kinda scary how you can just be having a normal day at work and come home and find your home completely gone. :(

I will. I'm in NY- he's staying with a friend for now. I'm going to go see him Saturday and see if I can do anything.
