This is a srt version which is suppose to be a performance model. It costs thousands more and can only keep up with a mustang gt or camaro ss. A srt is suppose to compete with the like of a shelby gt500 or a camaro lz1. V6 versions of the mustang and camaro can beat the rt version. Dodge needs to step it up and add mopar parts to the rt and srt versions and slap on a supercharger to compete.
@nismofury While what you say is correct, you can't compare the Challenger to the Camaro and Mustang. Both of those have become sports cars being lighter weight and focused on speed. The Challenger is the last remaining MUSCLE car left. It weighs more, it's bigger, and it's focused on engine power instead of optimum performance. That's what I love about the Challenger, it pays the most tribute to the old ones. This 392 has a ton of torque and it's a comfortable car to be in.

Yet another great video guys! As for the car, I cannot imagine why, in times like these, Dodge would solve their problems by dropping a larger engine in this car instead of lightening it up. With all that weight, it's still gonna have shit gas mileage and handling problems. And, it's still not gonna beat Chevrolet or Ford.
Just got one non inaugural edition a week ago, 4.5 is sleazy I timed it on the drag at 4.2 and a 12.33 QM. I'm so glad and im going to get hate for this, I didn't buy my original choice a BMW M3, this one just feels better than some overseas soft feeling car. GO CHALLENGER
@southernclassik That's what happens when you turn the key to 'ON' before you start the car. They had to show the information on the instrument panel for the camera.
I don't why these fools like all the website compare the Challenger to the Camaro and Mustang. It is not a pony car it is a muscle car or grand tour. One look at it's platform and the difference is obvious to anyone. This car is built on a much larger and heavier underpinning and it's dimensions are another clue. The Challenger is in a class all it's own as a real retro muscle car not a pony car. Thus the comparison is not relevant. Love it or hate it is still a cool car.
Make the car slightly lighter and lower and smaller for better performance.
