That is due to our political immaturity, and the government's loss of its integrity, weak and politicized military , and worst...Filipino public (under poverty) mostly uneducated or ignorant, Congress that control the President, so and so forth. This country can't follow that idea of federalism, a separate state of a state. Mindanao problem is as far back as of Marcos regime who had mishandled separatist movement in Mindanao, then a coitus of events that leads to a failure of peace talk.
why cant the country allow/try a federal sys for Mindanao- maybe this is the solution that we failed to see for last 111yrs pertaining the Mindanao Question?
even for ARMM/BJE only?
if this can solve the 111yrs of civil war-why not?
were paying dearly in lives & resources in this Conflict- its worth we try everything
what im sure is any IMPOSED/MILITARY solution to the Moro & Lumad allied Community will not work in the longterm
While it is a good idea of a federal state like hongkong it is not feasible in this country. We have never found a leader with unquestioned integrity. Trust is the key to all the settlement in the war turned Mindanao. It will again be rude of me saying that large segment of Mindanao are below level of education, and cannot participate intelligently in any debate or discussion in the area, and it affects the closure and end of the present war. Peace and Eidl Fitr to you.
Trust is the key as you said- if thats the case its the GRP who destroyed trust when it refused to sign MOA-AD document that was also co authored by them
but by the support of progressives like you, you must pressure your GRP to respect any mutual efforts in Peace Process
but as same time- you cant expect the Moro & Lumad- to wait that a trustful leader of GRP will emerge from heaven
we want to fix our political-socio-economic Questions
I never had expected that you will show your disgust on our enteraction. What happened? Ok then, I will end our enteraction on the following line... You send your reply to my comment, though I was hesitant to respond but I answered it politely, since I find you courteous to your statements. Whatever you say, it is your opinion, there is no room for further argument. Furthermore, the subject matter is none of my concern. Whatever thoughts you have in saying "progressives like you", offended me.
You cannot demand from me "to pressure your GRP", because it does not have any effects, I am merely a ordinary citizen. Good for you perhaps you are as powerful as your comrades. I am sorry, I cannot continue anymore our enteraction, hoping you will have peace in your time. So long my friend, goodbye.
@432- i am also an ordinary citizen like u- im also concerned about my growing childrens future-thats why i want both parties to FINISH & IMPLEMENT any agreement
Progressive is a positive word-it means you are on a higher level of thought than the immature ones who just spit curses & garbage
Pressure means being Vigilant
Discussion between 2 mutually respecting humans is commendable & must be continued
it will help in clearing many misconceptions-lets take this oppurtunity & not close it
In your first reply, I was obligated to respond to show courtesy. I was expecting that you and I will enteract pertaining to the subject matter, that does not bear any demands, respecting each individual views. something like a "devoir" between us, and never "argumentum ad hominem" in other words, "diversion of an argument from facts to personality". Verbosity is acceptable provided it is not redundant. I have too many respondents on different subject matters, please re-phrase your statement.
@432- as i re check as you request- full courtesy is in order- no cursing or prejudice
to go on- you grasp the relevance of the 'Hongkong-federal setup' which is a good practice of the MOA-AD concept/agreement
yet- you blame the GRP leadership as wanting
i presented- will the Moro & Lumad who negotiate in good faith at present obliged to wait for a 'man in a white horse' on the GRP side- to find solution & a stop to its sufferings?
I have no complete information what had gone wrong in the peace talk headed by GRP Esperon. A military man. But on a "lay man's" point of view, with no offense to anybody, the MOA-AD, whatever of its good intent and purposes, was never presented to the public prior to its signing. (to correct any malicious thoughts, I don't live in the area, I am not a politician) It was rejected by the Supreme. How can the government give lands while on the hand grab it from ligitimate owners?
Those people who had negotiated in the peace process were in equal fault, whose acts were inherently wrong in itself by ignoring other members of our society, muslims or christians. However the biggest fault was in the shoulder of Esperon who had consented likewise ignoring the due process of law. There is a saying "consent removes mistakes" and that was Esperon's doing..... Lastly just to pre-empt any malicious thoughts, I do not own any piece of land in the area. I am merely enteracting.
TheMuslimJesus - If I have to write my opinion here it will spark a lot of unwanted mails, misguided respondents, nuisance comments, etc. that only creates great inconvenience to me. For you to think why there is no end to the Mindanao conflict?: Politicians, majority of people are poorly educated, people are misinformed or misguided, terrorism, kidnapping, crimes, greed, deception, Malaysia's interest, poverty, religion, and mistrust of gloria. The aforementioned complicates peace.
My last reply was comprehensible and complete view on why armed conflict in Mindanao has no end. Kindly review my reply to you, those are the factors why it affects in attaining peace in Mindanao. It is my view. I have nothing to do of the outcome of the peace process. Please, don't go back to our disagreement several days ago, it has also nothing to do to my comment here. To show courtesy to you and to your statement "& just don't reply/comment" I will put to rest our discussion. Peace
you know what prolongs this war- OUR BYSTANDER ATTITUDE- why? WE ARE NOT AFFECTED
but if we seek URGENCY from PRESIDENTIABLES or else we dont vote them
thats the time that our politicians will start waking up & stop sweeping this under the carpet- and face it- even though some powerful elites get angry at them
this financial elites earn in war- so why have peace- they dont care for they are not affected
but th whole country is affected- country budget, present & future lives
MuslimJesus-What made you think that Presidents have powers to end the armed conflict in Mindanao? How many presidents had completed its presidency, but nothing has improved.! It had even worsened during gloria's term. Whether or not to vote for an idealistic presidentiable it will not change anything. I have my views on this, but please I am sorry because if I am going to post it here in this comment section I will be receiving a lot of response that will absolutely agitate me.
TheMuslimJesus - I respect your opinion, though based entirely on speculation. Be that as it may, all the elements that contributed to the failed peace process are those I have previously mentioned that complicate in attaining peace. Noticeably, your opinion is indeed true, which is part of all the elements previously mentioned by me. I just can't elaborate further for reasons I already mentioned.
MuslimJesus - to indiscriminately accuse every oligarch families, elites, greedy politician, etc., making money in the present war in Mindanao, is just like saying that all Filipinos are oppurtunists. There was a comment posted 3 months ago of which I partly agree to his views, he said: "it is the ignorance and the dogma of the muslim rebels who had made this never ending war." He failed to state the failure of the covernment. Finally, I did not say that all your comments are speculative.
MuslimJesus - I respect your personal opinion, I'll reserve my comment on that. Please try to think my in-depth analysis on why politician were exploiting Bansamoro and Filipinos. Some of those factors are political patronage, poverty, "extreme" greed, ignorance, external influence, so on and so forth. On political patronage - due to unemployment, LGU leaders employ as casuals those persons who are jobless, hence, if you are that jobless person, will you not follow what that leader wants.???
to continue - a jobless person given a job, supporting his family, cannot in any way oppose his boss. That includes the influence of that boss in our political system. My apologies, I have given you enough example of my thoughts. Hoping you will at least think of the other factors that affects the peace in Mindanao. I beg to disagree, of oligarch as the same as elites, but it is your opiniuon, I respect that.
MuslimJesus - (This is my personal opinion, regardless you wil agree or not) There isn't even an iota of choices. The confluence of events does not show attaining peace for Mindanao. Leadership in MILF has poor approach. The Abu Sayyaf sow terror among the civilians. The National government has lost its integrity, The local civilian leaders have hidden motives and were insensitive to the problems in Mindanao, pre-occupied of perpetuating themselves in power. I am inclined to believe that.....
to continue - only swift decisive victory in war can cleanse the very soul of Mindanao. However, no one seems to like ending the war in Mindanao. One of those is the state of Malaysia who has interest to protect. As long as the war exist, the claim of the Philippines over Sabah is unattainable. Adding to that, congress does not want to ratify that law in ceding completely Sabah to Malaysia. (No offense to anyone). This is purely my personal view.
I humbly disagree that Malaysia would want the continued war in Mindanao. I think that is counterproductive to Malaysia strategic & especially economic interests.
megatron0357- Thanks to your polite intrusion to my inbox. On the subject matter... I have presented my own personal views, meaning that is my personal opinion where we, you and me, are entitled to his individual opinion. To plainly explain my views, it is of Malaysia's interests if the war in Mindanao continues. Why? the Philippines will be pre-occupied of this war, that the claims over Sabbah is shelved in the house of congress. You may refer to some of my comments posted herein.
To "MuslimJesus" I have to be honest with you, I hope you will not be offended. This is my personal view. .. MOA-AD which was allegedly a draft, in my point of view, was a failure. There was an admission of the government of giving separate authority and lands for muslims in Mindanao, an inadvertent error of Philippine peace panel who never consulted the public on the agreement. My view is that "a state within a state" that has no control, having separate power and authority. It is absurd.!!
if you study other nations who is 'advanced' in concept making in terms of state/territoties- the set up in MOA-AD is very common & functioning effectively
research Hongkong relation to China as a start- many laws in Hongkong that is diff in China- Money is HKdollars while China is Yuan- Police/Security is diff
2 diff system but still ONE COUNTRY-like Federal/State by State
Conflict in Mindanao has no end. Intellituals said, "there are no other way to end the armed conflict in Mindanao, except a total and absolute military solution". Why? There is Malaysia, protecting their interest in the region pertaining to sabah. Mercenaries from Indonesia for cash. The OIC, who protects Malaysia and against the US. The irony however, military has no equipments, incapable of naval blockade, cannot sustain a prolong protracted war, and a corrupt government. damn limited space!!
Poverty and religion is not the driving factor in Mindanao conflict. It is the IGNORANCE and dogma of this muslim rebels that made this.
Fuelled by the continuing presence of the US Govt in Mindanao... they want to keep this conflict zone to secure their influence in our country. It might be US is providing information and weapons to this rebels.
Imagine, US Govt is supporting the MOA-AD. US Govt is known for its treachery.
anong sabi mo!? pang central luzon lang ang LAD? sira ba ulo mo? AFP serves around the country di lang sa Luzon at Visayas, Pati Mindanao, you don't have a right to say where the AFP to deploy ...kung saan may gera, doon sila..
no need of war if you withdraw from mindanao n sulu w/c is never part of the country.
during malolos convention, aguinaldo put 2 tagalog representative for mindanao n sulu. that was the 1st historical injustice.
wen america plan to withdraw frm th country, bangsamoro petition to be free but senator quezon, quirino, roxas et al. intercept letters n petitions to silent voices of muslims, thats th 2nd historical injustice. now you ruled land for 150yrs,but still no peace bcuz of this injustices.
how many wives will be widow, how many son lost their fathers, how many mother will lost a son!
to silence this none sense war? tell me you fucking politicians, generals, and all the animals like you people want to suffer for your own good, i hope you people here realize that this war in mindanao is the game of the imperialist U.S.A. wake before you know we are in deep shit!!!!
It's no secret that China and Malaysia supports these terror groups in Mindanao, MILF and MNLF.. Libya used to support these animals that terrorized the people of Mindanao. @432- i share ur opinion that both sides ar at fault for not educating/updating the common ppl on the Peace process
knowing that Spanish expoited Bigotry in the land for Colonizing Purposes of 333yrs

it is where we are now- as the peace process is contunues- we must discuss/dialogue

@432- my friend
the Oligarch Families are same as the Elites who makes money frm the oppurtunities of war in Mindanao
Oligarchs families composed of 135 families all intermarried to one another-
so its not all 90M filipinos-just this greedy families
12 out of present 14 presidents come frm this families-check it out
surely they are not representing all hardworking filipinos- they are exploiting us all
Bangsamoro & filipinos have a common exploiters

@432- my friend-regardless of what we may say...
its obvious that there are two choices in front of us in Mindanao for the future
1-peaceful results due to negotiation & understanding
2- continous war if negotiation collapse due to no countrywide support
which would you choose for our Countrys' future?
TheMuslimJesus 2 years ago

432cestus80 2 years ago

432cestus80 2 years ago
@432- thanks 4 the concern-i respect ur view
if you study other nations who is 'advanced' in concept making in terms of state/territoties- the set up in MOA-AD is very common & functioning effectively
research Hongkong relation to China as a start- many laws in Hongkong that is diff in China- Money is HKdollars while China is Yuan- Police/Security is diff
2 diff system but still ONE COUNTRY-like Federal/State by State
why cant we advance our concept like them?

Conflict in Mindanao has no end. Intellituals said, "there are no other way to end the armed conflict in Mindanao, except a total and absolute military solution". Why? There is Malaysia, protecting their interest in the region pertaining to sabah. Mercenaries from Indonesia for cash. The OIC, who protects Malaysia and against the US. The irony however, military has no equipments, incapable of naval blockade, cannot sustain a prolong protracted war, and a corrupt government. damn limited space!!

FYI- in was nearly achieved last Aug 5-2008
after MOA-AD signing a timeframe of 1yr is needed to CONCLUDE peace process..
but some selfish politicians who feared to lose some 'centavos' applied for TRO on Peace!
they are Pinol/Lobregat/MarRoxas/Ayala & family
MOA-AD is a peaceful alternative- get link of document/map in my ytube acct
& see for urself what i mean

Poverty and religion is not the driving factor in Mindanao conflict. It is the IGNORANCE and dogma of this muslim rebels that made this.
Fuelled by the continuing presence of the US Govt in Mindanao... they want to keep this conflict zone to secure their influence in our country. It might be US is providing information and weapons to this rebels.
Imagine, US Govt is supporting the MOA-AD. US Govt is known for its treachery.
all out war still the best option.

no need of war if you withdraw from mindanao n sulu w/c is never part of the country.
during malolos convention, aguinaldo put 2 tagalog representative for mindanao n sulu. that was the 1st historical injustice.
wen america plan to withdraw frm th country, bangsamoro petition to be free but senator quezon, quirino, roxas et al. intercept letters n petitions to silent voices of muslims, thats th 2nd historical injustice. now you ruled land for 150yrs,but still no peace bcuz of this injustices.

MOA-AD- address/corrects injustice of past
2 SYSTEM-ONE COUNTRY
like Hongkong - China, North Ireland-G.Britain among others.
250 family-OLIGARCHS who own country dont want that bcuz they will be exposed of LANDGRABBING if PEACE succeed
land titles could be GIVEN TO ALL, for direct family use only- but big-time landgrabbers thats not direct family but for profit.
All those who oppose MOA-AD, if they win elections, WAR is the only thing in their minds not dialogue.
STOP DEATHS ON BOTH SIDES
