@HemaFTW Being a Firefighter myself, I can tell you why there are 'always' too many cops and firefighters at the scene. It is best to be prepared, to have more in case you need them rather than need them and they not be there. Just one example; My dispatch received a 911 call that said his car was on fire so we rolled Engine 1 all by its self, got on scene and realized that the car was in the garage attached to his home. By the time we got more help on scene, the house was fully involved.

almost 20 years have passed since my brother was crossing a bridge when he hit head on at 25 mph a semi that was parked on the bridge talking to another semi driver about who should go across the bridge first....this tragedy here caught is a solemn reminder how fallable we all are..praise to the firemen who extracted the deceased with as much dignity as possible...a small prayer for the poor victim as well...
