If it was really white dwarf matter 'Mr. Atlas' wouldn't have been able to let go after touching it. The gravity of the piece would hold onto his fingers.
The lady who escorts the old man was on Becker a few years back. Nan Nelson is on CSI, Glen Scarpelli was in many tv shows of the 80's Was on One Day At A Time during the 80's. He has since come out of the closet. The hispanic young actor passed away from complications from AIDS. I thought they all did a fantastic job as young actors.
I see the importance of parents watching TV and discussing programs with their children, because in retrospect I had no idea what I was watching and therefore only watch tv for entertainment purposes.
I loved this show when I was a kid! I also loved "Getting To Know Me." Dose anyone else remember that show? It was a PBS show about a family, where the kids were learning right and wrong. I remember the grandmother and her box of buttons. She kept certain buttons for special memories in her life and would take them out of her box when she wanted to remember those times. She told the children that she put those memories inside the buttons. I wish I could find some episodes on Youtube.
Thanks for posting some of the most underrated detectives ever! Man I remember getting mad when they would run out of time and wouldn't show the Bloodhound Gang! Once again thanks for posting this much loved classic!
This is absolutely incredible. It's great to see the Bloodhound Gang again. Outstanding job robotman71. These cases bring back great memories. Thanks again, robotman71.
My favorite case is "The Case of the Cackling Ghost," but "The Case of the One Ton Jewel" is a great science case.
In order to be from the Crab Nebula and for it to get to Earth the piece would have to travel faster then the speed of light.

This was a segment shown as part of "3-2-1 Contact". It usually was the last part of the show.

I remember the theme song.

I'm surprised no one at the auction asked how they could get the rock into the gallery if it was supposedly so heavy.
jhillst 3 years ago
That's because everyone except Mr. Oliver, his secretary, his chauffer and the detectives were in on the scam.
JGCooney 2 years ago
Yeah I know that, but still, you'd think one of the "innocent" people would have been suspicious enough to raise the question.

Who sings the theme song??? Sounds like the lead singer of the Stylistics....
Gemini199981 4 years ago
The segments began with a theme song sung by Dámaris Carbaugh:
Whenever there's trouble,
we're there on the double.
We're the Bloodhound Gang.
If you've got the crime,
we've got the time.
We're the Bloodhound Gang.
