my dad was in the 116th division, 29th infrantry,,2nd wave. on omaha beach,,then wen to the battle of st.lo then to the sea port of breasts in belgium..battle up there..he has the bronze star, purple heart,,unit citation..and more..he is still living will be 84 in june...
Bill and his wife were on the same tour with my wife and I. It was his first time back since the war too.
We had a nice small group, just the four of us, the woman running the tour and her husband. Our driver set up the presentation with the mayor.
We spent four days in Paris, drove to Normandy for the 60th Anniversary Ceremony on June 6th, then went to Bayeux and spent the next 4 days touring the D-Day sites.
thank you for this little video, it recalls me a few stories of my ancients.

Very cool that you got to be there for the medal ceremony. How do you know Bill?
We had a 29th 115 guy on our tour for the 60th - his first time back, and they received medals from the Bayeux mayor.
