Thats a misconception, the truth is despite incidents of violence (both ways) Indians and Europeans actually extensively intermarried and today we are one nation and one people, the majority of American Indians are patriotic American Citizens. Well there are 2 million full blood American Indians and a university study has shown at least 1/4 of Americans have some American Indian ancestry, and I don't care what you read in books in Oman, my Grandmother is an Indian and I grew up on a Reservation so my knowledge is firsthand. Unfortunately, this is not new news. Many USA companies will do almost anything to reduce high paid workers and replace them with foreigners who will work for less.
joshpembers, you may not know this, but when hiring foreign workers on H1B, companies must prove that they are paying wages HIGHER than the market rate, determined by Department of Labor.
What the USA really needs to do is to round up all illegal immigrants and truck or fly them out of the country. If they return, do the same thing a second time. If they return a third time, then put them in jail. As for H1B and other types of Green Card needed workers, those need to be regulated and reduced significantly. Reduce # of immigrants (my preference would be ZERO new ones!).

Most Americans like immigrants, but employers and their bought off "human rights" special interests had no business encouraging illegal aliens. Trust me, employers wont die from having to pay AMERICANS a fair wage with benefits.

Let me explain to you why it t's wrong: because the immigrants who did it before came through Ellis Island or Baltimore and did it legally. Some were sent home. Not everyone gained entry into the US.

The INS, ICE, and the Prison Industrial Complex WANT illegal immigrants to keep coming over. They demand perpetually increasing funds every year. Halliburton and Blackwater are already in cahoots to privatize the prisons, but remain taking money out of your pocket.

Hillary Clinton is killing her campaign, supporting H1B and outsourcing. My Democratic friends who once liked her, now revile her and support other candidates, even Giuliani! We had H1B sort of policy in UK, it killed our domestic tech industry, drove smartest Britons to learn German, French and emigrate to Germany, France, Italy, Belgium. Same occurring for USA, best workers from United States soon writing reports in German in Hamburg!

All the people who are salivating for work visas and green cards need to go home and build up their own countries. America was a technology, engineering, and innovation leader for decades before any number of them showed up, and we will regain our greatness once they hit the road for home. That's why we as Americans have to start speaking out against the practice of the loss of our jobs to offshoring and/or the lowering of US wages (putting lots of us on food stamps, or without health insurance) in order to 'compete' with what foreign workers will accept to do the job. I'm all for other countries raising their living standards, but not at the cost of mine.

People actually get hurt when they stampede into Target and Best Buy to grab the limited quantity deep discounts TV made in China. joshpembers, you may not know this, but when hiring foreign workers on H1B, companies must prove that they are paying wages HIGHER than the market rate, determined by Department of Labor.

What the USA really needs to do is to round up all illegal immigrants and truck or fly them out of the country. If they return, do the same thing a second time. If they return a third time, then put them in jail. As for H1B and other types of Green Card needed workers, those need to be regulated and reduced significantly. Reduce # of immigrants (my preference would be ZERO new ones!).
